Yes her policies were against many of the British (Working class) publics view (But the majority voted her in power 3 times!) The Country had many a chance to get rid of her style of Government but failed to do so.

she mixed with them (pinochet) she detested Nelson Mandela (probably due to her spouse having shares in the diamond mines ) and instigated a war to win her an election.

She decimated northern cities forever removing manufacturing from them forever ditto the mining communities, she conned workers to put money into financial institutions instead of their works pension schemes, suckered millions into interest only mortgages starting a housing rise with their cheaper payments that then resulted in - can you forget 17.5% interest payments on your mortage?

still we never thought we'd get a worse one after her till we got major and until polititians (sp) start to realise their job is to serve the people of this country and not line their own pockets and up their status as complete twats it's not going to get better

I think voting should be compulsory. It is a civic duty not to be taken lightly. Even in a General Election over 25% of the eligible voters do not vote.
