So I've been reading up on copy/clone/duplicant rules and I noticed something intresting. If you duplicant a general who then goes to the command zone, since he isnt RFGed he is no longer imprinted and the duplicant goes back to being a 2/4

Also we had been doing duplicant */* wrong. As */* is a characteristic defining ability it applies in all zones. Thus if you duplicant a lord of extinction his power and toughness is equal to all graveyards. We had been doing it as a 0/0 therefore he dies.
Now a 0/0 with counters the duplicant will die as a 0/0 rfging the target. |

I don't recall doing that wrong, at least not in the last 2+ years, since they changed the */* stuf in 2007, and I have mentioned it in the past with Tarmogoyf, etc.
The counter thing is also straightforward, as counters are not a copiable value, which I have also mentioned because of Clone in the past. I got to explain the interaction of Duplicant with Generals to Mark Rosewater on Saturday when he was gunslinging with Darwin Kastle's Sharuum EDH deck against some guy playing Rosheen. I got him the next game and played the Chandra deck vs. him playing Jace. My opening hand of Slith Firewalker, 2x Fireball and Flame Javelin went all the way.
They were also using the Garruk vs. Liliana decks there. I didn't see anything good in them except for the planeswalkers but I daresay that those will be enough to sell them. Fun Fact: the most valuable card from Jace vs Chandra on Magic Online is Daze. wtf, right? -------------------- Manus haec inimica tyrannis ense petit placidam sub libertate quietam.
