Morning dawned. The breeze of fresh autumn with the scent of an awesome new beginning blew on the purple haired teen and his new best friend Chikorita, both grinning ear to ear; or in Chikorita's case cheek to cheek. As he leaned on the wind seal, he couldn't help but to wonder about the adventure and new friends he and his new partner would make. He looked at his grass friend, sitting in the window woth him, just as eager as he was. He closed his eyes, got from the window and turned around.
"Chikorita," he called, she snapped back to life staring at him with a blank, yet confused expression, "let's go." His Pokemon jumped from the wind seal and onto to the soft, velvet carpet floor and followed her boss downstairs.
At the base of the stairs you could see your dad sitting in the kitchen, dressed for work, and sipping his morning coffee. "Ah! Yamigo. Heading out I already? That's the way--tackle the day early, and give it your best. Come here real quick." He gestured for you to join him. Setting down his coffee, he pulled his wallet from his pocket and thumbed through it. "Let's see... this should be enough to get you started." He handed you ten $100 bills. "I'm sure you'll spend it wisely." He looked down at the eager Chikorita by your side. "And you'll make sure he does, won't you?"
"Chicka!" she replied with a reassuring tone in her voice. Yamigo smiled.
"Don't worry pops, I'll make sure not to spend too much at one time..." Yamigo said, know his spending problems. HE got up from the table and gave his dad a short hug and a before getting him a cup with a removable cap and pour some fresh coffee, sugar, and a bit of milk. He closed the caps sipping hole and put on hand on the base and another at the top and began to shake the cup violently for a few seconds than stopped.
He walked over to the door and picked up his book bag. Before his hand could even touch the knob of the door he heard his father clear his throat unusually loud. he look behind him at his dad, how's fist was over his mouth but his index finger pointed down. The teen look below him, only to find out that he forgot to put on his shoes.
"Uhh?" A look of embarrassment and stupidity came over his face. He ran through the living room and upstairs, than ran back down, running shoes on both appropriate feet.
"Alright, see ya Dad!" He said one final time before he and his Chikorita ran out the door and into the infinite possibilities of adventure which stands before them.
Your dad watched you go, grinning and shaking his head, then he returned to his morning coffee. He knew you'd make him proud.
Meanwhile, you and Chikorita were off to Pine Needle Grove!
