Absesas grinned as he looked at his new pokeball as he headed towards home. When he got home he entered the house and saw his mom sitting on the couch going through baby pictures. "Heya mom, i got myself a pokemon," he said and released Chimchar to show her. Chimchar appeared in a flash of bright light. "I just came by to say good-bye and to tell you and dad that i love you both and that i will be back." he said and moved to give his mom a hug.

Your mother accepted the hug gratefully, gently placing the tattered album upon the couch as she swept you into her arms, perhaps hugging you a bit too hard.

"If you keep squeezing him like that dear, we'll be sending him off to the hospital instead of on his journey," your father remarked from behind, placing a hand on her shoulder as she unwillingly pulled back. She looked to the Chimchar you introduced then back to you, then pulled at your cheek in the way mothers do.

"He's got your nose, Absesas!" she teased, giggling quietly.

"Do take care of our son, won't you Chimchar?" your father nodded resolutely at the fire monkey on the floor. "Oh, I almost forgot- here." Your father stepped forward to embrace you as well, and placed a long white envelope in your hands as he stepped back. "Starting funds for your journey; you're probably going to need all $1000 of those dollars in there."

Absesas grinned slightly at his moms actions of pinching his face as well as looking at Chimchar but couldnt see the similarities she stated. He grinned and turned his attention to his dad as he got the money and hugged him. "I promise i will make you both proud of me and will make sure to return someday to show you all i have learned in my travels. Expect me to be back in about 6 months to a year." he said and gave both his parents another hug. "Unfortunately its about time for me to head out so unless there is something else i will be going." he said and recalled Chimchar and prepared to leave.

"We're sure you will," your dad nodded.

"Good luck! Know that if you ever need anything or get into any trouble, you can always come back sooner than six months," your mom began.

"-Or just call," your dad chimed in, earning him a swift elbow in the side from his wife, "You know how to reach us if you need us."

They waved goodbye as you left the house, calling wishes of good luck, that they will always love you, and of course that you shouldn't forget to change your underwear. Your home was soon a speck in the distance as you made your way to the entrance of the forest.
