Title: What's a Niner?
Description: Honestly I don't know...

pikafan - August 16, 2009 10:56 PM (GMT)
I enter Niner's Stake, wondering why it was named Niner's Stake in the first place. First thing I do is head toward the Pokemon Center.

Shadow Slayer - August 16, 2009 11:04 PM (GMT)
You enter the center...

pikafan - August 16, 2009 11:16 PM (GMT)
And then I leave it, after I've withdrawn Barboach and healed. I decide to look around town for some wild pokemon to battle and for any other things that could happen in the city.

Shadow Slayer - August 16, 2009 11:41 PM (GMT)
The city was a pretty big place, and there were craters everywhere. There were many houses and people about, coming and going into the echo caves.

You found a level 34 male machop among the craters and houses and people, who flexed his muscles and wished to test his strength.

pikafan - August 16, 2009 11:46 PM (GMT)
I sent out Rampardos and tell him to use Take Down on the Machop, hoping to ko this guy quickly.

Shadow Slayer - August 16, 2009 11:53 PM (GMT)
Machop began focusing his energy, raising his critical hit ratio up! He prepared to attack Rampardos, but the pokemon smashed hard into the rock type pokemon with full force. Machop went flying in the air, and was knocked out by the intense power! Catch Machop?

pikafan - August 16, 2009 11:57 PM (GMT)
I leave the Machop there, then look around some more. This time I was looking around for the Poke Mart.

Shadow Slayer - August 17, 2009 12:00 AM (GMT)
Next up, a level 36 male Makuhita appeared. He walked around and his big body jiggled a bit, but then he took a battle stance, and prepared to battle you. Looking behind him, you saw the mart. But from the way this fighting type was looking at you, he wouldn't let you escape.

pikafan - August 17, 2009 12:02 AM (GMT)
Seeing Rampardos was still out, I tell him to quickly use Take Down on this Makuhita so we can get to the mart.

Shadow Slayer - August 17, 2009 12:20 AM (GMT)
Makuhita jumped forward, and grabbed Rampardos by the tail. The rock type pokemon was defenseless, and couldn't move from this grab! Makuhita jumped up high, and then threw down Rampardos from the high jump in the air, causing him to crash down to the ground for some damage. That was seismic toss!

Rampardos got back up, smashing hard into Makuhita and sending the blubber ball flying, knocking him out. Catch Makuhita?

Rampardos: :weakened:

pikafan - August 17, 2009 12:21 AM (GMT)
Again, I cannot catch another pokemon due to the fact that I have no pokeballs. Which will soon be solved since I'm heading into the Mart now.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 12:56 AM (GMT)
And after heading in the mart, you decided to...

pikafan - August 18, 2009 12:58 AM (GMT)
I decided to send out Rampardos and search around the city some more to train him and see what I can find.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
You continued to walk around the city, when suddenly from underneath you came a Sandshrew level 32 and male. He stood there, wondering why you were startled from his appearence.

pikafan - August 18, 2009 01:16 AM (GMT)
I think about it for a second, then grab another pokeball from my bag and throw it out, sending out Barboach. I tell him to use Water Pulse on the Sandshrew.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 01:18 AM (GMT)
Barboach looked at the Sandshrew, and was scratched by the ground type for some alright damage. Your water type formed a ball of water, which it smashed on the ground and hit Sandshrew hard with for some excellent damage.

Barboach: :aaw:

Sandshrew: :ltw:

pikafan - August 18, 2009 01:20 AM (GMT)
I tell barboach to use another Water Pulse on the Sandshrew to hopefully finish it off.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 01:30 AM (GMT)
Sandshrew ran forward and scratched Barboach again, doing some damage. Barboach smashed a ball of water at the ground, and knocking out the ground type pokemon with the powerful wave! Catch Sandshrew?

And oh, Piplup is evolving!

pikafan - August 18, 2009 01:36 AM (GMT)
I send Piplup out and let him evolve, then continue on, searching for pokemon to train my team against.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 01:47 AM (GMT)
Continuing on is what you did! You looked around, and found a Gligar, level 33 and female. She floated there, and prepared to attack a worthy opponent...

pikafan - August 18, 2009 01:57 AM (GMT)
I hand Rampardos a Rock Incense, then tell him to use Take Down on the Gligar immedietly.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 02:04 AM (GMT)
Rampardos charged forward, and crashed hard into Gligar, knocking the ground type back for some excellent damage! Gligar flew back up, and used Poison Sting, hitting Rampardos for little damage, but poisoning him.

Rampardos: A bit less than :aaw:, Poisoned

Gligar: :ltw:

pikafan - August 18, 2009 02:05 AM (GMT)
I tell Rampardos to push through the pain and use Zen Headbutt this time to finish off the Gligar.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 02:39 AM (GMT)
Rampardos' head began glowing a shining blue color, that just made you look away in pain because it hurt your eyes so much. Rampardos sprinted forward, and smashed hard into Gligar, knocking the pokemon out! Catch Gligar?

pikafan - August 18, 2009 02:47 AM (GMT)
I leave the Gligar there, then return everyone and run to the pokemon center.

After I exit the center, fully healed, I send out my entire team for some changes. Opening my TM Case, I take out Cut and Surf. I teach the following Pokemon these Moves:

Rampardos: Cut, Surf
Barboach: Surf
Cacturne: Cut
Dugtrio: Cut
Prinplup: Cut, Surf

After that, I return my TMs to their case and pull out my Thunderstone ring. I use it on Pikachu and let him evolve into a Raichu.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 03:01 AM (GMT)
After doing all those things, a level 34 female Zubat appeared from a nearby cave. It flew around frantically, not liking the light, but would be willing to battle...

pikafan - August 18, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
I returned everyone except for Dugtrio, and then said for him to attack the Zubat with Rock Slide.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 04:47 PM (GMT)
Dugtrio summoned rocks from nowhere, which crashed down fast on Zubat, knocking the pokemon out of the air, and out of consciousness! Catch Zubat?

pikafan - August 18, 2009 04:48 PM (GMT)
I throw a pokeball at the Zubat, then continue looking around for other pokemon to battle.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 04:51 PM (GMT)
You continued on around the city when you found an Aron level 35 and male. The pokemon stood there, and was using iron defense, to raise its defenses.

pikafan - August 18, 2009 04:52 PM (GMT)
I send out Barboach and tell it to go near the Aron and use Surf on it.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 05:01 PM (GMT)
A giant wave appeared from nowhere, and crashed down hard on Aron, doing some good damage to the aron. With its high level, it hung on and kept on battling. Using Metal Claw, it swiped its metallic colored claw at the barboach, hitting for some damage. The attack wasn't very effective, but Aron's attack went up a notch!

Aron: :weakened:, +1 Attack

Barboach: Less than :aaw:

pikafan - August 18, 2009 05:02 PM (GMT)
I tell Barboach to use another Surf on the Aron to finish it off. I was hoping to finish it off so I can catch it.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 05:19 PM (GMT)
Barboach summoned another wave of water, hitting over Aron, and doing some great damage. Aron survived though, and used Metal Claw again, doing some great damage.

Aron: :veryweak:, +1 Attack

Barboach: Less than :weakened:

pikafan - August 18, 2009 05:22 PM (GMT)
I tell Barboach to use a Water Pulse this time to knock out the Aron. I readied an empty pokeball to throw at the Aron when it fainted.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 06:11 PM (GMT)
The ball of water smashed down onto the ground, and formed a wave which crashed over aron, knocking it out. Catch Aron?

pikafan - August 18, 2009 06:14 PM (GMT)
I toss the empty pokeball in my hand at the Aron and watch it get captured. After doing so, I look around town for more wild pokemon.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 06:44 PM (GMT)
You continued on until you found a meditite level 33 and female. She was floating there, using confusion, and meditating to increase her power. Your appearence seemed to break her concentration...

pikafan - August 18, 2009 06:48 PM (GMT)
I sent out Raichu and told him to use Rain Dance and then Thunder on the Meditite. I was sure that this combo would knock it out instantly.

Shadow Slayer - August 18, 2009 06:50 PM (GMT)
Raichu appeared and began dancing round and round, suddenly causing the rain above to start falling down. Meditite felt the raindrops falling on her head, and broke her concentration, to battle you. She began to meditate, which raised her attack two notches.

Then, Raichu used Thunder, sending a bolt of electricity to the clouds above, causing the cloud to send a bolt of electricity much more powerful down to the ground, hitting Meditite! The pokemon winced, and was paralyzed! It was unable to attack, due to its paralysis.

Meditite: :weak:, Paralyzed, +2 Attack

Raichu: :healthy:

Rain: 5 Turns.
