Title: Through the Fire and the Flames...
Description: ~we carry on!
Mawile - December 29, 2008 06:28 PM (GMT)
I entered Cinder Oasis, walking away from Billy for a bit, after bidding him farewell... I first decided to go to the shop, and see what there was to buy...
Shadow Slayer - December 29, 2008 06:34 PM (GMT)
And after reaching the mart, you decided to...
Mawile - December 29, 2008 08:19 PM (GMT)
I left the mart, and looked around the city for trainers or pokemon... I needed to train a lot.
Shadow Slayer - December 29, 2008 08:22 PM (GMT)
Cinder Oasis seemed to have a lot of people in it today, everyone rushing around to go check out the ruins in the desert, others leaving town in fear, and...plenty of other things. A Rapidash zoomed by you, and a familiar old woman was on it.
Another trainer was as shocked as you were, standing next to you. He said, "Some Rapidash, eh? Wanna battle?"
Mawile - December 29, 2008 08:32 PM (GMT)
"Sure, dude. Tangrowth, Gallade, come on out so we can see what this guy has to offer..." Gallade gave me THE LOOK upon coming out...
Shadow Slayer - December 29, 2008 08:34 PM (GMT)
"A double battle sounds great. I've got 4 pokemon with me now, so we can do a battle like this." He pulled out a great ball and a quick ball, throwing them both forward.
Out came a level 38 male Camerupt, and a level 40 Rotom. The two looked as if they had experience from about...Port Current.
Mawile - December 29, 2008 08:45 PM (GMT)
"Gallade, use Psycho Cut on Camerupt, while Tangrowth uses a Giga Drain on Rotom. Then Gallade, if Cammy attacks Tangrowth, teleport her away from the attack, and then Tangrowth can use Leech Seed on Rotom."
Shadow Slayer - December 29, 2008 08:49 PM (GMT)
"Alright Camerupt, use Amensia, and then hit Tangrowth with a Flamethrower! Rotom, use Confuse Ray on the Gallade, and then hit it with a Shadow Ball!"
Camerupt began to forget something unimportant, and its special defense was raised two stages. But Gallade swipped at him first with a Psycho Cut, doing critical damage to the fire type! He took the hit, and his eyes lit up with fire...
Tangrowth used Giga Drain, taking energy from Rotom, for good damage, but Rotom broke free from the giga draining bubbles. Using Confuse Ray, he shined a light on Gallade, confusing him!
Tangrowth saw what was coming next, and prepared to defend aganist a flamethrower. But Gallade managed to use teleport...taking the hit for Tangrowth!
Tangrowth then used leech seed, sending seeds on Rotom, as Tangrowth took the hit from Shadow Ball...
Gallade: Less than Less than Normal, Confused
Tangrowth: Less than Normal
Rotom: Less than Less than Normal, Seeded
Camerupt: Weakened, +2 Sp. Defense
Mawile - December 29, 2008 09:55 PM (GMT)
I played my Yellow Flute to rid Gallade of his Confusion. "Gallade, use Hypnosis on Camerupt. Tangrowth, then use Leech Seed on Cammy, and Giga Drain Rotom..."
Shadow Slayer - December 29, 2008 10:31 PM (GMT)
The sound of your flute got rid of the confusion for Gallade, as the trainer yelled, "Now Camerupt, use Flamethrower on Tangrowth, and Rotom, use Ominous Wind on Gallade! Then, confuse ray on Tangrowth!"
Camerupt shot a chain of flames at Tangrowth, hitting the grass type, causing him to take some heavy damage. But a leech seed caused Camerupt's energy to be drained a bit, and hypnosis put him to sleep.
Rotom used an Ominous Wind, hitting Gallade for some damage. Tangrowth used Giga Drain, taking energy away from Rotom again...
Gallade: Less than Weakened
Tangrowth: Less than Normal
Rotom: Weakened, Seeded
Camerupt: Less than Weakened, +2 Sp. Defense, Seeded, Asleep
Mawile - December 30, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
"Tangrowth, use Ancientpower on Camerupt, while Gallade uses Psycho Cut at the same time. Aim for the face, since it sends them into a blind rage, and does an incedible amount of damage there. Then use Sleep Powder and Hypnosis on one or both of them, in case Cammy wakes up."
Shadow Slayer - December 30, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Tangrowth gathered up an ancient energy in its hands, and shot it towards the sleeping camerupt, while Gallade's blades glew with a pink energy, preparing to strike.
Thats when Rotom came into the picture. Using Ominous Wind, he blew away Gallade for some good damage, and took the hit from ancientpower! His trainer must have known Camerupt doesn't like being hit in the face...
Rotom managed to avoid the powder, and the hypnosis...
Gallade: Less than Weak
Tangrowth: Normal
Rotom: Less than Almost Weak, Seeded
Camerupt: Almost Weak, +2 Sp. Defense, Seeded, Asleep
Mawile - December 30, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
"Gallade, Teleport in front of Cammy to hit it with Psycho Cut, while Tangrowth uses Ancientpower on Rotom."
Shadow Slayer - December 30, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
Gallade's Teleport came in handy, allowing him to avoid Rotom and slash away at Camerupt's head, for great damage! He hung on, and woke up, using Double-Edge, smashing hard into Gallade for great damage.
But, the double edge caused him to faint, due to the recoil! Rotom was then hit with an ancientpower, as it used confuse ray, confusing tangrowth.
The trainer sent out his next pokemon, a level 41 female Vaporeon, to battle you.
Gallade: Almost Fainted
Tangrowth: Normal, Confused
Rotom: Very Weak, Seeded
Vaporeon: Normal
Mawile - December 30, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
Tangrowth, finish Rotom with Giga Drain. Gallade, you can come back. Go November, use Shock Wave on Vaporeon. Then Tangrowth can use Leech Seed on Vaporeon.
Shadow Slayer - December 31, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Tangrowth began with a Giga Drain, zapping energy from Rotom, and knocking the ghost type out! He was still confused though, and was unable to move out of the way from the ice beam attack, that did great damage. November appeared in Gallade's place, zapping Vaporeon with a shock wave, doing great damage as well.
Vaporeon then used Toxic, causing poison to November, as Tangrowth hit itself in confusion...
The trainer sent out his last pokemon, a level 42 male Swellow.
November: More than Less than Normal, Badly Poisoned
Tangrowth: Weakened, Confused
Swellow: Normal
Vaporeon: Less than Weakened
Mawile - December 31, 2008 10:18 PM (GMT)
"Tangrowth, come back. Go Tyson, use Protect while November uses Discharge to knock everything out in one STAB'd, super-effective shot, with level advantages included..."
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 03:15 AM (GMT)
Tyson's protect prevented a discharge from hitting him, and allowed both Vaporeon and Swellow to take full damage from the attack! Luckily for Vaporeon, it knew protect as well, and managed to avoid damage. But Swellow wasn't so lucky...It tried a quick attack, but was discharged and knocked out instantly! The trainer was pretty mad...
November: More than Almost Weakened, Badly Poisoned
Tyson: Normal
Swellow: Fainted
Vaporeon: Less than Weakened
Mawile - January 1, 2009 05:57 PM (GMT)
"Both of you use Thunderpunch to knock it out..." I said, watching the fists of both of my strongest pokemon begin sparking madly...
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 08:00 PM (GMT)
Vaporeon looked at the two brutes, and knew it was over. They both punched her hard, and knocked her out with both blows! Vaporeon was shocked, pun intended, and the trainer recalled his pokemon.
"Looks like I'm gonna have to keep training. Thanks for the battle." He said, handing you $175 for your win...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 08:04 PM (GMT)
"Thanks for the battle..." I said to him, heading for the Pokemon Center... I needed to evolve some pokemon...
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 08:17 PM (GMT)
You made it to the center...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 08:52 PM (GMT)
I leave, send out everybody but Tyson, and watch them evolve into their respective forms. Then I walk back into the Pokemon Center...
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 08:56 PM (GMT)
Glowing light surrounds your 5 pokemon as they evolve into their next forms, and then after the evolution process is done, you re-enter the pokemon center...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 09:59 PM (GMT)
I leave the pokemon center, and begin looking for wild pokemon, walking to the Penumbra River... I was hoping to find some rare pokemon.
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:03 PM (GMT)
The first pokemon you came across was a level 34 male Numel. He seemed to be thirsty, and was drinkiing from the river...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:11 PM (GMT)
"Go November, I feel kind of mean, but knock it out with Surf... I want you at level 60..."
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:13 PM (GMT)
November jumped forward, and then summoned a wave of water from the river, to crash on over Numel! The fire/ground type looked up, and then just flipped out.
The wave crashed over him, knocking him out instantly. Catch Numel?
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:14 PM (GMT)
I left Numel where it was, and rolled up my jeans to my knees, wading in the shallow water... November waded in, looking pleased to get wet in this sheer heat, and we began looking for wild pokemon...
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:19 PM (GMT)
Something splashed in your face, and knocked you over with its sharp horn. A fish was looking at you evilly, and then started to swim all around you. It was a level 36 female Goldeen and it wanted to "play"...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:24 PM (GMT)
>_>
"Go Tangrowth, here ya go..."
I tapped my Solarbeam TM to my fearful blue mass of tentacles, and watched her look astonished, yet a little scared. "Now, Sunny Day and Solarbeam!!!"
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:26 PM (GMT)
Tangrowth backed up a little bit, but used Sunny Day, causing the sun above to turn bright, increasing fire type moves power, but weakening water type moves.
Goldeen used Horn Attack, hitting the Tangrowth hard for some damage, scaring him a bit more. Tangrowth stepped back even more, but then released a powerful solarbeam on the Goldeen! Goldeen just barely survived, struggling to swim away...
Goldeen: Very Weak
Tangrowth: Less than Normal
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:28 PM (GMT)
"You DID want to play, after all..." I muttered... "Tangrowth, you're way faster now, so use Giga Drain to end this." Tangrowth nodded, quivering.
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:29 PM (GMT)
Green energy appeared from the vines around Tangrowth, and wrapped themselves around Goldeen, draining energy from her, and then knocking her out. Catch Goldeen?
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:34 PM (GMT)
"GREAT JOB!" I shouted, making Tangrowth jump in suprise. "Let's leave this thing, and look for more pokemon..."
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:37 PM (GMT)
You continued to wait around in the river for something, till you spotted a level 30 male Magikarp. It was splashing about, now that it had accidently jumped out of the river...
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:40 PM (GMT)
"Tangrowth, Giga Drain to knock it out..." I muttered, while Tangrowth warily edged forward, wanting a good look before acting.
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:44 PM (GMT)
The little magikarp didn't seem to frighten big ol' Tangrowth, so he showed some courage, and used Giga Drain, taking all of Magikarp's energy instantly. Catch Magikarp?
Mawile - January 1, 2009 10:45 PM (GMT)
I left Magikarp where he was, and kept wading in the water with November and Tangrowth, looking for more pokemon to battle.
Shadow Slayer - January 1, 2009 10:49 PM (GMT)
An uncommon sight to the pokemon in the river, you spotted a level 38 male Barboach, that seemed very bored, as he swam upwards towards the Corona Grasslands...
