Title: First Stop! Pindle Town!
noobness - October 2, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
I walk onto the streets, making my way to town. Finally, I made it! I look at the suburban background. The many houses seemed like a ring around the biggest building in town. It was clear to me, that such building was the Pindle Town Gym. I look at my Pokeballs, trying to think if I'm ready or not. Judging from the strength of my team, I should probably not. I turn away from the gym for now, and look at the PokeMart. Supplies, I think. However, as I reach for my wallet, I realize I only have a couple of bills at hand. I shrug in shame, and look towards the Pokemon Center. It seems I have to head for a free healing. However, as I took a step towards the Pokemon Center, one of my Pokeballs had opened up.
Karyuu
Karyuu stood beside me, with a face of no pride. "What's the matter, Karyuu?" I ask. I hold his Pokeball in my hands, and attempt to return him. However, this only gave me a Scratch on my hand. Confused, I look at Karyuu. I quickly pick up on his problem, and kneel down to the little lizard. "Do you want to train for a contest move?" I question. Karyuu gives me back a devilish smile. It seems he just wanted to do a little training.
So, it was settled. I had to create a contest move. However, I realized Karyuu didn't have that many moves in general. In fact, its only attacks were Beat Up, Ember, and Scratch. I seem a bit turned down, but I know if I don't think of anything, it'll make Karyuu upset.
"Karyuu. I thought of a contest idea, but I got to tell you, it wasn't the easiest thing." Karyuu nodded with a naive face. I guess I have to try. "Alright, Karyuu! Start off with a light Belly Drum, slowly tapping your stomach like a drum roll. While drumming, start up a Dragon Dance. As you move into the dancing, start drumming faster and harder. Finish it off with a sudden Sword Dance, using your claws as blades. As the final move, spit out an Ember into the air, and jump and Scratch the fire!" Karyuu seemed a bit confused, but it still wanted to try.
He stood in front of me, and held its arms up. It gave a more serious face, and slowly tapped its stomach for a Belly Drum. The drumming gave the sounds of a roll call drum in an army. As the consistent drumming went on, he began to sway back and forth. The drumming became louder and louder, and Karyuu began to move a bit faster. Finally the drumming reached its maximum volume, and Karyuu was swiftly moving in front of me. He backflipped, and held its claws out. He swung his arms together, giving the clash of swords. Finally, he show a ball of fire into the air. He jumped and gave a nice Scratch, spreading the fire.

As Karyuu jumped joy for its new move, I give it a small applause. "We'll call that 'Fire Dance'." I tell him, as I return him to his Pokeball. Feeling a bit proud, I realize I had forgotten that most of my team was already weak. I quickly search for the Pokemon Center, and head inside.

I'll hand my Pokeballs to Nurse Joy, and after she heals them up, I'll look into the computer.

After leaving the Pokemon Center, I decide to train a bit more. The only question was do I head for the gym to battle the minion or do I head to Pine Needle Grove. I decide to head to the gym to test how good I am. If I am able to beat the minion, it could be possible that I could beat the leader!
