First off, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, EVERYONE! =D Shadowplay is officially
one year old now. <3 We've had lots of members come to Shadowplay
since then and I'm sure lots of you have made great friends and have
improved in your graphics as well. (: We've had loads of challenges
since then and our collection of resources has grown so much as well.
I hope that you all have had a great year or a great few months (or
even weeks) if you haven't been here that long. <3

promotions

Many artists got promoted this month, especially because the require-
ments were to have an updated gallery in the month of August and 15

Due to the results of our Awards Ceremony coming out in October,
we're only going to have a few awards for now. But next month,
there will be a huge amount of awards for everyone! =D <3

Nao's been improving so much ever since she came to Shadowplay and
you can always see her in the chat box or around the boards, being
the great member that she is. (: She even went up TWO levels from
Promising in the past month, which is AMAZING improvement. Congrats,
Nao! =D <3



Lills is also another great member here at Shadowplay. She's been
improving a lot as well ever since coming to Shadowplay, but that's
not all that's great about Lills. She's friendly towards everyone
and active in the off topic boards as well as the challenges and
the galleries section. She is very welcoming to everyone and such
a joy to have here. We're so glad you're here, Lills & congrats! <3



Christy has been such a great help with Shadowplay. I honestly don't
know what we'd do without her. She's always so quick to accept the
advertisements and always makes sure that they're up to date. <3
But Christy doesn't just stop at the Directory that she moderates.
She's also very welcoming to new members and always tries to post
in new (and old) galleries as well as offering to help with whatever
she can to do with Shadowplay. Congrats, Christy, you so deserve
this award this month! =D <3

birthday celebrations

Yes, as I said at the beginning of the newsletter, it was Shadowplay's
very first birthday this month! =D During the past month or so, we
have been having some wonderful and fun birthday celebrations. They
seem to be going very well so far, but they're not through yet. Guess
the Artist is still going on [and is quite fun =D]. The Ultimate
Challenge is still going to have one more round [the third round]
before it's finished, so if you're involved, make sure to partici-
pate in all of the challenges posted for that round. [: <3 Last but
not least, the Yearbook shall be out for the next newsletter [Anniver-
sary Newsletter Part II!] along with the Awards Ceremony results. <3

staff changes & application

In the past few weeks, we have had quite a bit of staff changes here
at Shadowplay. (: Kristina and Willow have unfortunately had to step
down as staff, but Isa has been promoted to Head Mod. Congratulations,
Isa! =D Due to this, we now have only one Challenge Mod [Silver] and
no Roleplay Resources Mods, so we'll be looking for a couple of those! (:
So if you would like to apply, head over to this thread. <3
Also, a special congratulations [again] to the new awards team
members [brie, nici and donni] who joined the awards team at the
beginning of september. [: <3

tutoring now open

Yes, that's right. Our tutoring section is now open for business!
We have all the tutors for our brand new classes and even a couple
of new classes for you. =D Also, there are now different levels, so
you surely will be in a class with people around your level. That way,
the tutors can really concentrate on helping out all the students
without worrying about it being too basic or difficult for certain
students. (: <3 If you would like to sign up for a class or two,
please head over to this thread. We have classes for icons,
signatures, blends, banners and now colourizations and skinning.
You'll even get graded with a nifty award at the end of the term
[which will last for about a month]. So what're you waiting for? <3

In the past month, we have gotten over 148 new members.
In the past month, we have made over 6,150 posts.
We reached over 50,000 posts! =D
Over 18 100 Challenges have been completed.
Wraith has completed two of them! =o
