So what do I do with my life from the months of June through March? Colorguard! Yayyy.
A lot of you, okay probably most of you, don't know what colorguard is. We're the people on the field dancing with the band with flags/rifles in the fall and then dancing on our own with flags/rifles in the winter.

I'd like to show you a couple videos of this past year. In the fall, our show was 'Children of the Sun.' We won State Championships with that show, and I love it to death. So many hours go into the show, and the best experience of my life was sitting on the turf in Lucas Oil Stadium, hearing our rivals called as 2nd place, meaning we got first. Best.Day.Ever.

For winterguard, our show was 'We R Who We R' featuring music from none other than Ke$ha! We did what no guards really do. . . Ke$ha + tons of dance. And they didn't really know how to give us credit the whole season. So basically it was a perform the show, have people scream for you and such...and then all the judges would literally say 'well I'm not sure what to call this...' And we're just like okayyy...?

Just like there are so many different videos, with different viewpoints. I'll give the first show, and second to last show. Because for our last show (state) you're not supposed to put the videos on youtube.

Beginning Prelims

So yes. This is what I devote my life to. In case anyone was wondering, I'm on Weapon line, so I'm one of the people with the guns. Since we move so much I can't exactly point out where I am. . . but I'm tall, and have brown hair. But there are two tall brown hair weapons...so yeah.

Wow that's really cool Sabrina, wish they would have something like that here, it looks like a lot of fun <3

That's pretty awesome :D We had a small colorguard at my high school and let's just say our band wasn't all that coordinated. At least we never did all that cool stuff anyway. :D But, seriously awesome job all of you did!

Awesome! I was on the dance team in high school, and since we didn't have a colorguard we did flags as well as dancing for some of our halftime routines with the band during football games. <3

Awesome job! I wish I were coordinated enough to do something like that. I did dance in High School for a year and twisted my ankle nearly every rehearsal. LOL. I did a lot of theater though, and the majority of my movement was front row dancer. For some reason they thought me coordinated enough to be a lead dancer in shows/show choir.. Long story short, i'm super jealous of your talent <3 I"d break a weapon for sure. lol

She asked me to join her one time, so I did. But well, I'm too bad, lol xD It was like; left, right, turn, throw your flag and catch him. And I was like; left, right ... o.O throw your flag.. and drop it on the ground xD
But I wished I could do it, haha (: great job

wow your colorguard team is so good. everything is so in sync and it looks so uniform and just wow.
seriously, the one at my school sucks. at our assemblies, they perform for a little bit, but they're always out of sync and someone always manages to drop something...

We definitely don't have that here, lol. And the dance team at my high school was really bad. They wouldn't let on anyone who had actual dance training. And people called them strippers in training. =s -tried out 4 times just for the heck of it, but now I'm in a professional dance company- lol But I think you knew that already, at least the last part. xD But yes, as a dancer... Seriously impressed. (: For one, I really suck at catching things, lol. But also, super kudos to the choreography, especially all the patterning. I'd so love to be able to choreograph something with so many people and that much space to be able to make many different interesting patterns... lol. <3

I'm in colorguard as well, and oh my goshh. I WISH we were as good and coordinated as you! We only have...what, seven or eight people? We were wanting to have a winterguard this year but I doubt it'll happen: no one is interested other than our eight. I'm so in love with colorguard. <333 Amazing work!! :'D
