The bright clinical lights of the hospital bleached all the color out of Cammeron, turning him into nearly an albino. He sat with Joanna waiting for the doctor. At first he was confused as to why she would want to risk exposure to the town, but then as he carried her into the hospital and saw the horrified looks on the people's faces, he understood. This was the last time those damn SiggKap half breeds were going to fuck with one of their girls again.

He looked over at Joanne and noted that she too, nearly looked albino. She seemed less worse for wear, and he had to admire her manipulation of the situation. No one would believe that a delicate little female such as herself was such a brutal little bitch. He looked up at the television some sort of game show and then leaned back against the wall waiting for the doctor to come in.

"So what the hell happened?" Cammeron asked, his voice inflecting curiosity, but not anger. He was glad that she'd ripped that bastard a new one, but was curious at how the fight got started.

He looked over at her, and thought about how pretty she was. He didn't even know how old she was but figured her to be somewhere around seventeen. She had nice hair, and lovely eyes.He looked back at her, not really expecting her to answer. In Cammeron's experience there were some women who belonged solely to themselves, and this one seemed to be one of those. She seemed neither impressed with him or his dominance, though she did seem grateful. That was worth allot.

Joanne was relieved Cammeron hadn't been contentious about her desire to go to the hospital. In fact, he' rather quickly picked up on just what her plan seemed to be. It was convenient that they seemed to be operating on a similar frequency. Calm, collected, and with a solid grip on how to best work the situation to their advantage. The ability to make the best with what one is handed was a trait she'd always appreciated.

The doctors were working at a rapid pace to clear a space for her, though she'd insisted that she could wait if need be. Granted, she'd insisted in a frail and shaky tone, but he offer had still been there.

It was because of the speed with which they were working that she felt compelled to give Cammeron the very abbreviated version of the story. She slid her gaze discreetly around the room before leaning in close to whisper, "He was my waiter. I was a pain, he responded accordingly, I got him... I don't know. Fired. Suspended. Something. He got pissed, came after me. I fought," she finished with a shrug. "In between, some pretty nasty shit was said," she muttered, pulling back far enough to give him a pointed gaze, clearly stating that he should know what it entailed, and even if he didn't she couldn't say it there.

She wasn't normally one to share such things, and while it wasn't much, it was more than she'd have given most. But he'd saved her. If she was being truthful with herself, had probably save her life. A little honesty was the least pittanance she could pay him.

"He was my waiter. I was a pain, he responded accordingly, I got him... I don't know. Fired. Suspended. Something. He got pissed, came after me. I fought," she finished with a shrug. "In between, some pretty nasty shit was said,"

"Sara,"He muttered to himself, and sighed. He ran his hand through his pale hair and felt a familiar rage rise inside of him. It was not as if he knew the girl personally. He had met her briefly and from what he could tell she seemed like most annoying little sisters. That was the point however, she was a little sister, a young girl, and for her to be as brutalized as she was it just made him angry.

He had two little sisters at home and while he wasn't overtly fond of them he knew that he would die to the death to defend them, on a brotherly level he couldn't imagine what Allen was going through. It had to be horrible, especially since the state that her body was in. Plus she was female, and call Cammeron old fashioned, but he couldn't stand to see an innocent female get hurt. He'd heard from the general talk around the frat house that there hadn't been and healing or healed injuries on Sarah, so she hadn't even changed. The cowardice scum, had it coming to him, and all of those who protected him would burn right along with him.

"You took care of things very well," He said after a moment inclining his head to Joanne, the admiration clear in his voice. He was glad to see that she could fight, and even more he was proud of her tenacity. He knew that if he'd not happened along when he did that by all accounts she would be dead. He also knew that she would not have given up until one or both of them had been gone.

"By the by good on getting him in trouble,"He whispered in her ear, a faint smile gracing his lips, and disappearing before anyone noticed.

"Does it hurt very much my dear?" He asked her, his voice still fairly low, but also strong enough to project outside, to any passerby that might look in and see them.

((OOC: I didn't go into much details about the doctor exam because I wasn't sure if he;d have gone back with her and didn't wanna godmod))

At his mention of her name, Jo felt herself flinch. She hated even talking about it and the whole night had just brought al of the old feelings freshly back to the surface. She nodded, but didn't speak, instead choosing to cast her eyes down the corridor in hopes of seeing the doctor approach.

She cast her pale eyes on him again as he spoke.

"You took care of things very well."

Her smile was a small, sheepish one. "Thanks. We don't have much choice now though, do we? They don't care who they hit anymore. You'd think there'd be some courtesy or accounting for size when they attack, but that's apparently too much to ask." Her voice was soft as ever, but it held an icy edge to it now.

"By the by good on getting him in trouble."

Her grin widened into a more genuine smile. "That was strictly my pleasure, I assure you."

"Does it hurt very much my dear?"

She gave her head a small shake indicating a "no", but her hand still rested just above the wound, pressing the area in an attempt to alleviate some of the tight pressure the swelling was causing and her cheeks flushed pink at the pet name. She scolded herself for acting like a teenaged girl, but then remembered that was just what she was and figured it was to be expected.

"No, no I'm fine. But I must look a fright," she said, turning to look at him and giving him a rueful, playful half smile in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Before she could say much else, the doctor came out and ushered them back. He was one of their own, and Jo wasted no time telling him all of the dirty details of the encounter. The expression on his face made it clear her idea had been the right one.

Once it was over, she looked at him and leaned in, her hand on his arm to balance herself. "After this, would you mind if we went somewhere sort of quiet so that I can heal without my parents hovering and we can make sure we've got our stories straight?"
