So a few days ago firefox said to make a folder or whatever and I forgot what I clicked but all my bookmarks are gone.

Yeah all my bookmarks went recently. I can't remember what I clicked but I was pretty pissed off.

It happened to me too, I think it was down to installing the new update.

Updates install in the same folder so that shouldnt have clered your bookmarks.
Sounds to me like you didnt close down Firefoz properly in the first place. Forcing you to create a new profile (i.e. new bookmarks and properties). Check in your Documents and Settings folder uder Application Data, you will see a folder called "Mozilla" which will contain all the profiles you have made. |

ive never had that issue. weird. when did this happen? i still have all my bookmarks.
