Trigens: Genetic alterations made by Dr. Krieger. They start out as small gorillas, move to jumbo sized gorillas, then to people who can jump very high and use guns very effectively, then to people who can go invisible, and use guns very effectively, then to people who are huge, and then to people who are huge and have rocket launchers on one arm. About half way through the game all the trigens escape from captivity and start a war with anyone else they find. They don't communicate with each other, they just don't kill each other. They are extremely deadly, espeically the gorillas, because they rush right at you and try to rip your head off. Well I guess the other guys can kill you just as easy too.

Mercenaries: Come in 2 types. Your standard grunts. And your repairmen. The repairmen usually only have 9mm, the grunts have everything from MP5s, to sniper rifles, to rocket launchers. They like to talk a lot, and are very effective in groups, extremely intellegent at killing things, and can easilly kill you.

Weapons: Please refer to weapons by specific names. So instead of saying 'pistol', you'd say '9mm'(aka barretta 9mm, US military standard issue), or 'Falcon .357'(the pistol in the origional Far cry), or 'Desert Eagle'. SMG stands for Sub-machine gun. These weapons fire at a rate that is below a machine gun, but above a rifle, some examples are the P90 SMG(If you've seen it you'd know it, it's got circle grips), and the MP5 (MP5s are also commonly used in movies, they have integrated silencers). The Mercenaries on the island also use assualt rifles, these include ones you definetly know, the M4 you have all seen, I'm absolutely sure(they don't use AK-47s), but the Mercs also use more advanced weapons such as the AG36, and OICW, both have integrated scopes and grenade launchers. Some other weapons, PSG1 a very subperb model of sniper rifle. Jackhammer shotgun: a semi-automatic(it reloads automaticly after you fire round) shotgun, in a bullpub configuration(the cartrige for the shells is behind the trigger to give the gun more balance). A real machine gun is the M240G. Rocket launchers don't really exist in modern arsenals, so just say rocket launcher.

Other stuff: Also grenades are always helpful. And you can sneek up on an enemy and machete them really quitely. Thrown rocks are good for a distraction. Some mercs have night vision goggles. Somewhere there's CryVision goggles, which see in night and heat imagining all at once, but don't have a long battery life. Binoculars are also a good thing to use. Especially the ones the mercs have, as everything on the island has a locator chip in it(except you guys), and the binoculars will tell you where they are even if you can't see them.
