(OOC: Ooo! Gona reconcile this and the first post! WOOT! I hope it works!)

Moments like those never last as long as we want them to, no matter how hard we try to keep them. Small indications on both sides acknowledged that there were other things that needed to be done, other responsibilities to attend to.

Cara smiled sadly. "I worry, though I know I shouldn't." She smiled a bit more happily. "You know, I wish you could tell me all of it."
I wish you could figure it out for yourself. It was an earnest wish, one he wished for countless times. It was really the only way for this to work out. They all needed to figure it out, in one way or another.
He pushed it out of his head and smiled a coy smirk. "One day when I'm a fugitive, and we live on Jupiter or someplace harder to get to, then I'll tell you all of it, every last boring factoid."
She laughed a little, "You sure those are the exact conditions needed? I'm not use to you being so imaginative!"
"Those are the ones specified in my contract." He said, feigning seriousness.
She laughed again.

He kissed her goodbye on the cheek as she rushed off to pick up her younger sister from practice. Then he left as well, off into the noisy world, heading for what he hoped was the quiet of home.
He sighed as his thoughts jumped back to his "family". Maybe Dinya had been the wrong person to try to plant the seed of curiousity in, maybe it had been wrong to try and let his pressures out through that loop hole to begin with...

If they knew, then he could talk to them about it. He could talk to them about the things that were bothering him. If they knew then he could talk in abstract, maybe they would understand without his loose lips forcing them to lose what ground they had been tentitavely given.

If because of this, this stupid need to communicate we all get tossed back into wherever they took us from? Could you live with it? He asked himself, and then replied. Could you live the rest of your life worried that you might blurt something really big out under stress? What if just a little here and there could prevent it? What if something goes wrong and I'm the only one who knows anything?
He sighed again.
Maybe it WAS best if they knew, but what could he do to make them try to find out? Maybe he was being too subtle.

Gair got home to another big mess.

Wow, that was great Oak.

As Gair walked through the door there were three things that happened at once. Well really four, but Cypress looking at him didn't really count, though for half a second Gair was curious as to why Cypress would actually be interested in this, if anything.

The truth started about a hour before Gair came in. Ally came in through the very same door, and stood in the exact spot that Gair would come to stand. She saw a picture that had 3 less people painted in, but one was exactly the same. Cypress sitting on the couch. The TV was going, but he wasn't watching it, his head was in a book. Ally didn't know why he tried to hide the interest in books. What was his problem anyway? He was just like that little twerp and his asswad friends at work.

Ally waited tables day in and day out, and never forgot an order, was always promt, she even smiled and pretended to act happy. And those little pieces of shit just took it chewed it up and spit it in her face, and all over her clothes. The laughed at her. She could hear all the snickers once her back was turned. She almost wished was a man in that moment because of all the interesting thing bodilly fluids she could have easilly put in their food. Oh and she did ask the cook. He just shook his head. He didn't like her that much. The boss liked her because she was good at her job. Everyone else hated her because she was the best at her job. At least the cook was only apathetic and not downright resentful. In fact Ally wouldn't be surprised if those kids were hired by one of the other waiters. They didn't even tip her. Little bastards couldn't even tip her with their spoiled parent's money. And now this little shit just sat on the couch self-conciously trying to look like more of a lifeless caterpillar than he already was.

"Listen you little ass shit you are going to get a job and stop fucking feeding off the rest of us and spending your money on feinting to look like more of a lifeless no-body than you already are."

Cypress just looked at the TV. He had already put down the book and was craning his neck around her to watch the TV. There was some show about how women could be strong together. She knew he didn't care about it, not that he cared about anything to begin with. "Do you actually care about anything? Do you care that we work our asses off, and then you waste our money?" No answer. Ally had reached her limit, she reached it quickly because her mind moved that fast. She grabbed Cypress by the collar and lifted him right out of his seat. He hung limp by his collar. There was a slight tear developing in the thrift store t-shirt. He looked at Ally. "Well that was a start." Ally thought, she was still simultainiously on her rampage mode of thought to, so at the same time she was thinking that it was a start, she was pulling back her fist to threaten Cypress with a bloody face, and thinking about the fact that she had a lot of upper body strength for a girl, which she liked. Then she thought about 5 things at once, because a girl appeared out of no where right next to her. That was only 4, but of course Ally had to think about how she got there.

Sophie had entered the house about 15 minutes before Ally came home. Cypress of course was in the house, everyone else was doing something semi-contructive except him. It was doubtful wether or not he would have cared had she entered. Cypress had learned his lesson about Kailan, but in his mind that wasn't even remotely related to anyone else entering the house. Of course Cypress didn't even know. Sophie was a professional. She could get into anywhere without anyone noticing. For a while she just watched Cypress. He sat there calmly reading his book. The pages turning almost rythmicly. She wasn't attracted to Cypress, she was attracted to the turning of the pages. She stood there for a long while just listening to it, it soothed her. Then a woman came in with very serious and deep-seated issue. She started to assult the boy. He stopped turning pages. Sophie was willing to see what was going on, but it was apparent this woman was out of control pretty quickly. She wanted to do something to help this boy. Maybe startling the crazy woman would shock her back to her senses.

Dinya was the next to come home. She was in a bad mood. Anytime she had to go back to the house was a bad time and it made her very depressed. She considered it a major shit hole, and she was going to get out of it and have a good life, and become someone other people could look up to. She sighed as she walked through the same space Ally had come, but Gair had not yet come to occupy. Her head was hung low. Cypress was sitting on the couch watching TV. A book lay next to him. Dinya barely noticed him there. She proceeded up the stairs to her room. Maybe her clothes would cheer her up. They were the only classy things in the house. "Oh don't worry about it, she's never here anyway. Just get me if you need anything."

"What about the clothes?"

"Don't sweat it darling, as long as she never finds out she'll never care. Mwen steals them all the time." Dinya walked up the stairs a little more quickly. "Someone in MY room." she thought and the anger seeped up and bubbled into her brain clouding all thought. Ally was walking down the stairs. They were narrow, so Dinya pressed herself against the wall as Ally walked down normally, acting as if she didn't care about Dinya, because she didn't like her. Dinya hurried up the stairs and into her room. "Who the fuck are you?" And she dissappeared. Dinya was furious so she searched the room up and down untill she actually realized that asking Ally would be a much better idea. She ran down the steps, nearly killed herself in her heels, and stomped infront of Ally who was reading Cypress's book. "Who the fuck is she?"

"Hmmm?" Ally looked up at Dinya. Cypress moved his head in sync with Ally's.

"I said who the girl in my room?"Dinya fummed.

"Oh that's Sophie, she's going to be staying here for a while. She's nice. You should go introduce yourself to her." Ally said calmy, knowing that it wouldn't calm Dinya down one bit.

"You said she could use my clothes." Dinya was getting closer to boiling over.

Ally hadn't intended for her to hear that. Oh well it had already happened. "Don't worry she'll take good care of them. She actually smells really clean. I know you like manly perfumes, but I myself like clean."

Dinya tried to punch Ally. Ally caught the punch and threw her down on the ground. Right in view of the door.

Sophie had decided to come down and see what the problem was. She was upset some that it was over her.

Cypress watched it all because it was better than TV.

Gair came through the door and Cypress turned his head to look at him. Gair saw Ally beating up Dinya, and what looked exactly like half a woman.

He was very freaked out.

Cypress mouthed "Cat fight" to Gair, who was still motionless at the door, and made a face before turning back a more neutral face to the events happening around him. Not fast enough however to notice that the fight was moving closer to him!
"Yow!" The normally listless fool jumped back as a clawed hand mised its mark and dug into his cheek.
Getting up off the floor, he tried his best not to be involved; even if it meant sliding up against the wall to do it. He toughed his face, the nail marks stung a little. "RE-lax, wills ya?"

Sophie hurried around the fight and faded in and out of visibility, though her clothes were very helpful for knowing where she was.
"Are you ok?" She asked Cypress, obviously genuinly conserned.
"Yeah, It's ok its just a--" Then Cypress thought better of it. "I mean, Yow! Stings a little." He smilled doppily at her.
At which point Gair broke out of shock.

"Who is She?"
"Oh, SHE? She's Sophie. Ally is letting her stay... but Dinya--" Press pointed over at the Dinya, her refexes were fast, her agility was better, but she was just being Pounded by Ally. Dinya didn't look like she was anywhere near giving up. "Dinya is kindly objecting to Ally's lending out of her clothing while she's out."

Gair said little more than a mumble in responce. He only nodded at Sophie and shook his head at Ally and Dinya. "Howamigona fix this..."
"Um... can I leave you with that? I'll take Sophie out of ground Zero for you... " The fishy-man smilled and pulled the now fully visible girl towards the door behind Gair. "Oh... and Ally is pissed with me today. So, I'm probably better out-of-the-way. Bye!"

Huh? Gair was understandibly confused. But it didn't take long for him to realize 'Sophie' was escaping past him.

"Wait." He reached out and grabbed her before she got too far. "What were you doing in my house? I've never seen you here. And, no offense to Cypress, I don't know of any friends of his that come around here."

All Sophie said was, "Owww." Because Gair really was holding on that tight. She also looked at him with eyes and pouting lips that would have melted Stalin. Gair managed to get out, "Just go back in the house....please." No she had made him feel bad, which made him kind of angry at her.

Sophie and Gair walked back into the house, where Dinya had reluctanly given in to Ally in exchange for not being pined to the floor anymore, but was still trying to win the fight through her words. Ally was largely satisfied with what she had accomplished, and was ignoring Dinya without effort.

Gair sat Sophie down on the couch, and then sat down next to her. "I'm sorry." He said.

Dinya, still on her rant came over and told Gair that he was, "As sorry as a guy that just got away with murder!"

Gair winced. "Umm, I'm sorry."

"It's okay." Sophie said in a way that made Gair feel suddenly much better. "I'm Sophie by the way."

"Hi, I'm Gair. I'm actually the one that owns this house. Everyone else has kind of come here, it's a long story." Why had he just said that? That's probably why she was here. Why else would someone who could turn invisible be there? "Umm, so you can turn invisible, I think? When did they send you here? No one told me you were coming."

"Well.." Sophie had an intent look on her face. "You must be crazy. I can't turn invisible." For a second the thought lept accross Gair's mind that he was going insane and his brain was unstable, but it quickly was dismissed. They would have told him about it at work. They took enough tests, but they were needed. Which reminded Gair to get more frequent hair samples from the rest of the people in the house.

"Ally?" Gair forced himself to say it louder, even if he wanted to. "Hey Ally, I need your help in here." Thankfully she came. "Hey, could you keep an eye on Sophie here?"

Gair went into the kitchen, and pulled out a cell phone. He inserted a special transmitter into the port on the bottom so that the signal was more secure, and then typed in a number. "This is 6859. Yes, I know." He said angerly. "There is an unschedualed experiment here... Yes, I know!!" Gair almost never yelled. Dinya was trying to listen to what was going on, but Gair was only yelling the 'Yes, I know' part, since he was mostly very soft spoken. "So I should go forward with the experiment anyway? Yes I'll need that set up. Thankyou. Yes of course I'll talk more about it tomorrow, but I don't know much. Yes I know." He didn't yell it this time. "It will be done with the same expertise as usually." He closed the phone.

Gair came back to the family room. Dinya had already moved away when he shut the phone. He went over to Sophie. "Hi, I'm Gair. Are you hungry can I get you anything?"

Sophie looked at Gair uneasily, she started fading in and out of the scenery again... First he was mean, then he was trying to play nice... it was really confusing. Darn it, all of this had been a bad move. why had she come here? Why did she get involved? Stealing food and hiding had worked so far, why couldn't she have kept it up?

She smiled uneasily at Gair. The was a look of pain in her eyebrows, but the full look was a mixed messege of discomfort.
"Uh... some... Hot Chocolate might be nice... you have some in your cubord."
"Alright." Gair said firmly. He didn't like being told by an intruder where things were in his house, but he went to get what she wanted anyway. "Stay right here."
Sophie breathed out, glad that once again she wasn't being staired at. Ally had already gone back upstairs again, as had Dinya who had turned on her stereo and was now playing some music louder than nessisary. Most likely just trying to get on Gair's nerves.

We'll... she almost wasn't being staired at.
The shaggy Press had slouched his way back to the door and looked inside worried that the others might come out and kick him down the stairs, when his eye's caught on Sophie though he stopped in the doorway and just leaned there, looking much more relaxed. Which in turn worried Sophie. Now she didn't have a clean escape root. Something Cypress probably wouldn't have noticed.

Gair returned with the Hot Chocolate (a little watered down, the stuff is expencive), glared at Press who just smiled back, then sat down next to Sophie to ask her some questions.

(OOC: This popped into my head right after, something gair could say to put Sophie at ease. I thought it was funny, but not very Gair. :"On a quiet day, I can hear chinese business men arguing. No, not just from Chinatown... well, no, there's no proof it isn't Chinatown, but-- Hey, I said it's China!")

Dinya was M-A-D mad! mad! MAD! She had her music pumped up all the way and was yelling into her pillow. Couldn't they just respect her for once? Those where HER clothes, this was HER room! All she wanted to do was just pour out her feelings... but to who? Sara, Summer, and Rachel were all bitches now, ever since that one time at the mall. Tina would tell everything to everyone even if it wasn't important. Ally never listened, she always was doing something else, she never sat still and just LISTENED. Well there was Gair, but he always said stuff like, "Well maybe you should find guys that didn't just dump their last girlfriend," or "Well maybe if you stopped complaining about it and did something you wouldn't have that problem anymore." Dinya pounded her fists down on the bed. It wasn't fair.

She looked at her phone out of habit. There was a voicemail from Greg. Some weird music was in the background, the choice words of 'baby', and 'come over to do something' were used, but Dinya wanted to be anywhere but in her room. She stormed down the stairs. She glared straight at Gair as she stormed out as loud as she could.
