The sun is a few feet above the horizon, spreading a warm orangey-yellow glow all over the planet where its rays touch, inclusive of the Lost City, giving everything a warm feeling of calm peace. The ocean reflects the birlliant colours in its small ripples, the light breeze blowing the water into smaller waves. The sky is still quite cloudless but for a few whisps high above the planet, which reflect the brilliant colours of the rising sun.

|This atrium is located to the side of the main laboratory. It is only accessible through the main laboratory. Its doorway is hidden and can only be accessed if someone with the ATA gene toughes a specific part of the wall near the door.
Inside the atrium is a small room (in comparasin to the main lab) with large stained glass windows that start about a third of the way up the wall and strech towards the cieling. There are shelves and tables with various devices and experiments|

Even as she slowly moves deeper into the room, Laura can hear the familiar voice of her CO. Without taking her eyes off of her steady search she addresses the footsteps behind her. "Welcome back, sir."
Her eyes scan over the unusual items that were scattered upon the tables and shelves she adds, "Looks like this assignment is going to be more interesting than we ever expected."

"What the hell is that here ? Why didn't we have known that here is still another area ?"
"Well that's the Ancients for you. The best 'Hide and Seek' players in three galaxies." Laura smiles as she continues to check out the room. As she reaches the back she looks side to side before turning to face Daniel, "All clear."
"Yes who would have thought that ? Damned, I am hardly half an hour away...and then something like that happens."
"Its not your fault, Major." Laura smiles as she glances toward the gawking scientists peering in through the opening. "I don't think any of expected this. I mean the wall opened for Christ's sake."

"Hmm what do you think, should we let them in...a whole room full of new toys, they can hardly expect our permission."
"I suppose we should. Lucky for us McKay isn't here or he'd already be messing around with something." Looking once again at the weird objects, Laura starts back toward the opening. Looking at Daniel she returns his grin as she gestures to the devices. "Let's just hope that one of these isn't a doomsday machine."

Kasie Markham
Kasie eagerly passes Daniel with a grin, and takes in the room. No, it wasn't very spacious. But it was brightly lit when the door opened and Cadman first stepped in. Plus there was the sunlight coming in from the stained glass windows helped. The place fills the scientist with awe. She begins to immediately examine things, recognizing some things, and not others. She doesn't even hear Zelenka assign Sonja to the atrium.

Mitchell Dawson
"Wow..." A smile spreads across Dawson's face as he enters the room. (I really love my job!) His smile widens as he takes in the all the new sights as well as the old.
Okay, long enough.) He moves to the opposite side as Dr. Markham and begins his own examinations, but not before shooting her a bright grin, "Dr. McKay is gonna be sure sorry he missed this."

Kasie Markham
Kasie is already busy fiddling with some sort of device when Mitch comes into the room.
"Wow..."
She looks up and smiles. "I know, it's incredible, isn't it?" She asks, taking in the room again with her eyes and then letting them fall back onto the (rather yummy) Doctor Dawson.
"Dr. McKay is gonna be sure sorry he missed this."
Kasie grins. "Oh I'm sure he'll make his presence known as soon as he gets here in a few weeks." She makes a few notes in her log book. "Not to mention point out everything we did wrong." She rolls her eyes good naturedly at her fellow scientist.
"Holy sh*t!"
Markham's eyes move towards the less fortunate side of her discovery. (Ick. Punnishment for my reward or what?) She watches the girl-scientist as she begins to roam around the room. (Just don't touch anything. We don't want it to be broken.) She goes back to her work when another thought hits her. (Then again, I could just put the blame on Weyland and add to her list of reasons to get rid of her for McKay. He's liek that.)
Kasie grins and moves on to the next item. Something that Dawson is working on. She offers him a smile. "So, wutcha got there?" She asks, takin a closer look and making some notes in her book about size, shape, any markings et cetera.

Mitchell Dawson
"Oh I'm sure he'll make his presence known as soon as he gets here in a few weeks. Not to mention point out everything we did wrong."
Not looking up from what he was doing, Mitchell continues to grin as he replies to her comment. "You got that one right, Darlin'."
"Holy sh*t!"
Mitch's eyes flash up to the new voice in the room. He watches Sonja for a moment as she goes about her narrative filming. "Take your time, Poppet. There's a lot ta see." With a small smile he turns back to the object in front of him.
"So, wutcha got there?"
"I ain't rightly sure." He says as he looks up at Kasie. He holds the device out in an open hand for her to see unhindered. "I don't suppose you found any Ancient owner manuals in this mess."

Kasie Markham
Kasie puts her notes down to take the device from Mitch's hand and begins to examine it.
"I don't suppose you found any Ancient owner manuals in this mess."
"HA!" She blurts. "When have the Ancients ever included a user's manual in anything?" She queries rhetorically. She pulls the sphere-shaped object closer to her face to examine it, turning it around and around, trying to decipher what it could possibly be. "No text or designs on it." She muses, almost to herself. "Smooth texture ..." She rubs a finger across one of the triangular pieces and it pops open. "Oh!" She jumps in surprise, wanting to toss the device back on the table but manages not to.
She peers into the little compartment. "Hmmm ..." She looks up at Sonja. "Hey, Weyland, you might wanna get a look at this." She tries to look at it, get it to do something else. "And now is when I wish I had that ggene therapy." She mumbles under her breath.

"Take your time, Poppet. There's a lot ta see."
Sonja just briefly smiles at Dawson's comment. She finds his accent funny as always. At least he is rather nice. Him and Markham are hovering over some object and she catches the piecies of their conversation. When someone else enters the atrium, she just shoots him a sideways glance. It's that soldier... (Peters. Right. Homesick soldier.) He doesn't look much happy. But hey, she's never seen a soldier who would enjoy such a duty. Unless it was a film for adults and scientists looked like Traci Lords ... Sonja grins and gets back to work, trying to make it quick and painless as much as possible. (Yeah ... there is definitely a lot to see.)
She puts aside the videocamera (finally!) and bends over the rack with mysterious devices. "Hello, sweethearts ... what are you hiding from me?" Her eyes sparkle. (Don't you touch anything, remember the ATA gene ... some of them might accidently activate ...)
Bullsh*t.
(I warned you.)
So far ... it might be anything. Mix of abandoned projects, maybe? It looks that way. Sonja straightens up and massages her temples. The lack of sleep is catching up on her and it will take some time before she gets over it. The worse it gets around the lunch. But the headache is almost gone. She looks around, sizing up the small atrium. Work for days ... maybe weeks. Depends on how quickly can pair these stuff to those in Ancient database. Heck... if it all even IS in the database! She takes the videocamera, which needs a new memory disc because this one is already full and goes to the door when she suddenly hears Markham's voice.
"Hey, Weyland, you might wanna get a look at this."
(Huh?) She leaves the videocamera on the table by the door and goes over to Markham and Dawson. They are watching a strange object tht Markham is holding. It looks ...
"Oh come on, you already earned your scout badge for discoveries for today. What have you done again ...?" She looks closer at the object, not sure if she should touch it.
