Family Reunion, When family members unwittingly meet

Verse led her in and helped her onto the bed.

He picked it up and put it on the right path.

“Are you going back to work?” She asked and cracked an eye open to look at him as she kicked off her boots and curling on her side.

The kitten turned around hopped onto his chest. He was careful not to bother Nel. Most of the animals knew how tired she was. The kitten purred and crouched down on his chest.

He nodded, "Just to finish up to take a few days break for you."

Daae chuckled and raised a brow, petting it's soft, baby fur.

“Oh, okay.” She mumbled. “Thanks love.”

The kitten’s purr deepened. He was happy that Daae was petting him. Nel had pet him earlier too. It felt good.

He nodded and kissed her, "Love you too."

Daae yawned and closed his eyes.

She smiled. “Oh, I know it.”

The kitten watched, yawned as well, and then curled up by his neck.

Verse smiled, "I'll be back in good time."

He hummed quietly and his petting slowed.

Lilis had already fallen asleep and didn’t hear Verse.

The other kittens and the mother cougar all came over to curl up next to and around Nel and Daae. They all went to sleep.

(Uh.... what now?)

(Well, if you don't mind everything being a little off in timing... I was thinking of Lilis bringing their son to Nel and Daae to babysit for a little while to try and bridge some of the gap between them. *Shrugs* I dunno though. Did you have something in mind?)
