Role Players Direct > Movies > Peter Jackson's King Kong****

It's not just a giant ape. It's Kong. The real thing. You know how sometimes, you see an old movie and you think, " Wow, that has a really great storyline, too bad they didn't make it these days!". Well, that's what PJ's Kong is. 1933-2005. Same characters, almost same scenes. Just better Special Effects and more natural acting. The character development was superb. Adrien Brody and Naomi Watts were amazing. I was happy to take Jack Black seriously for once. And, it was actually funny. Great for drama or action fans.

This movie Rawks! I found it a little long in some scenes, but the action and graphics seemed to have followed George Lucas' model with Star Wars and the Indiana Jones trilogy!

Some of Jack Black's personality definitely came into view from time to time, but he did pull off the character very well.

I'm with Darth Windu on this one. Four asterisks! **** Could have gotten five if it weren't for the lag in some scenes.

Great movie, I just saw it on it's release day on dvd and I enjoyed every minute of this film. I even like the slow start to it. It gave the movie a nice build up. I highly recommend this on on the to buy dvd list or your netflix subscription.
