Has anyone read the series of fascinating novels by David Webber based on his character named Honor Harrington? It's set in our own galaxy far in the future with different factions controling their own sectors or quadrants.

The main character, Honor serves in the Royal Navy of the Star Kingdoms of Manticore, a monarchy similar to that found on Naboo. She goes through several exciting missions as the commander of her first vessel in On Basilisk Station, the first novel in the series.

I've followed almost all of the books written by Mr. Webber with the exception of a few of his newest titles. If anyone else is interested, I'm thinking of applying WEG's D6 Space rules to the Honorverse. It would be an interesting game to say the least. Even playing it as a strictly textual role play would be fun too!

The only novels I have read are Conan novels and the first 6 Dragonlance novels. I read the Death World novel too, ok Scifi.

Well, these stories fall into the same line as Star Wars but in our own galaxy and minus the Force. It's an interesting read.
