| Hello. It's me again, your friendly neighborhood Administrator!
I just thought I'd share a few helpful hints with those of you that are new to these forums. These things should help you keep track of your favorite topics and such.
1.Your user control panel.
At the top right of each page, just below those Google ads, you'll find a row of links. The first link is listed as My Controls. This will take you to another page that contains a menu on the left side of the screen with several options for you to play around with. The first section is your Message Center. Here, you can check, compose, and archive messages, and you can list your buddies here as well.
The second section covers your Subscriptions. You may subscribe to individual Topic threads, or an entire forum. This way, all you have to do to get the info you're most interested in is to subscribe to it, and then just go straight to your control center and get down to business. Subscribing to threads and forums will be discussed below.
The third section is a list of controls for your Personal Profile. You can Edit your personal profile information, add a signature to your posts, or change your avatar/pic.
Finally, the last section holds the controls to change how you view the boards, how you receive your email, and to change it or your password.
2. At the top of the page above the first topic in the thread, there is a little row of links. The first one says Attach Poll, the second, Track This Topic, third, Email This Topic, and fourth, Print This Topic. Let's forget about the first, third, and fourth links for now, and focus on the second one. Tracking.
Tracking a topic is the same as subscribing to a topic in other forums. You'll be able to view your tracked topics from your user control panel, a link to which is also located at the very top right of the screen, below the header of the board where the help and search buttons are.
You may also subscribe to a forum itself. The link to do that with is located at the very bottom and middle of the forum page that shows what topics are listed in it. It too can be found in your user control panel.
3. PMs are your friend! That is Private Messages are your friend. If you want to send a quiet message to just one user, simply click their User Name in any post they've made, and click on the link in their profile page to PM them. A message screen will pop up and you can send them a little note. Let's remember though, don't do something you may regret by sending them nasty notes. They have the ability to ignore your posts, and We have the authority to ban you if it is reported!
Okay, that's all I've got for now.
We now return you to your previous posting pleasure. Good day!
