Title: Star Wars: Dark Lord, The Rise of Darth Vader

I just finished reading this one a couple of weeks ago. It was great! Written by James Luceno, author of many Star Wars titles, the book is a wonderful read.
The story takes place approximately one month post Revenge of the Sith, and picks up the tale of Darth Vaders adjustment to becoming a cyborged Sith apprentice. The book recounts the tales of a few Jedi survivors and their struggle to escape the clutches of Vader and the Emperor to set up a resistance of their own.
I won't go into detail, as I don't want to ruin the book for those who may be interested in reading it, or those that are almost finished with it. I will, however, say that Wookiees are one of the most honorable and bravest races in the Star Wars galaxy. Bar none.

You really like that time period, don't you? I haven't read very many SW novels, just New Jedi Order, Clone Wars: Shatterpoint (great read) and Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter.

Yup, I love the timeline. I hope the talk of the television series is true. It'd be great to watch adventures taking place between old and new.

There've been rumors of a Star Wars television series that is to take place in the timeline after RotS. I haven't really checked it out or anything, but a few folks have mentioned it here and there. In fact, I think I'll google it now!

It could be pretty good, if they use the same actors.

I've been reading some older news clips about it. Lucas said at a convention that he would be using actors from both trilogies. There's no new news that I've found, just some stuff from 2005.
Here's one from the BBC: BBC: Star Wars to become new TV series

I just read the novel for EPI III. I enjoyed all the extra stuff you don't get in the movies. Now I need to read the two that bookmark it. And Shatterpoint. And all those others that I've missed since I quit buying the books... :(
