Large windows that reach from the floor to the twenty feet ceiling align the outer walls to give the perfect views of the outside. Then again, there are still those creepy, dark halls that give you chills as you pass inside the mansion. The only person to ever enter that place would be the Headmaster. It's nearly impossible to sneak in, considering the fact that all windows are locked tight and the only way through would be past two guards positioned there. A lot of the kids are rich and some brought their cars or motorcycles or whatever other things with them. They need a place to keep them safe, right? It's only logical that there's a garage for the students and staff to keep their cars and such. 0 0 -- In: ---- By:    The van Balgovey Estate Forum Topics Replies Last Post Info Gardens Throughout the van Balgovey Estate there really are quite a few gardens and greenhouses. Paths wind in and out for anyone to walk on, but if you get tired there are benches scattered about for people to rest at and simply enjoy the view. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Gym One of the newer addition to the Institute would probably be the gym. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, and volleyball courts. Other than the courts, the swimming pool is also located here for students to use. Even if Reinigen is a boarding school, it does like to have students playing out in the sun. Ocassionally, students from other boarding schools are invited over for friendly matches. This place is only open from 5AM until 11PM. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Stables Like most boarding schools, Reinigen does have a stable where the school horses are kept, as well as those horses that students decide to bring in themselves. A Stablehand takes care of them and ocasionally can be coaxed into teaching you how to ride, if you don't know how. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Fields The van Balgovey estate is certainly one that is quite spacious. Other than sports fields[track, football, soccer, rugby], it has a field for students to just walk through or play in. The grass is cool to the touch and soft so you can comfortably just lie in it and practically fall asleep. Of course, you may want to do that near the trees so that none of the horses can possibly trample on you when other students decide to go for a ride. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Forest Perhaps calling it a forest wouldn't be the best word to use but it seems to fit. The van Balgovey Mansion is surrounded by numerous trees and the students are free to wander around. There are streams, ponds, a few abandoned cabins, and open areas inside the forest, all of which are still part of the van Balgovey Estate. You can go far enough but you won't be able to go too far seeing as there is a twenty foot wall to block people out and keep you in once you're deep enough into the forest. In fact, that wall surrounds the whole van Balgovey Estate with the only exit being the front exit. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Observatory This is one building with a huge dome-shaped ceiling. There are four pillars that hold up the ceiling while the walls are made of glass for you to be able to have a better view of the night sky or the gardens. There are telescopes set up, as well as couches to use while waiting. This place is open from 5AM to 11PM, but if you're nice and if you have a good reason, you may get your Dorm Advisor to let you out into the observatory past curfew. 0 0 -- In: ---- By:    The Town Forum Topics Replies Last Post Info Old Dusty Road From the front gates of Reinigen, follow a dusty old path down either on horseback, foot, or even a car towards the small town of Horatio. It doesn't take too long, probably twenty minutes if you walk and take your time, really. Not that most people mind seeing as they're shielded from the sun by trees that line the road. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Mistress Alain's Cafe Mistress Alain's Cafe as most would probably guess would be the one and only coffee or drink shop in Horatio. Sorry, kiddies, no Starbucks or Jamba Juice all the way out here. Then again, Mistress Alain does serve coffee, smoothies, juices, and other such things that can rival Starbucks and Jamba Juice. Another plus is that her prices aren't so high. Oh, right. There's also the fact that there are computers you can use here to get online if you'd like. Naturally, there's a cinema here, showing all the good new movies. Rumor says that it's owned by a teacher from the Institute, Iollan Pierce, but that isn't possible. Heck. This place was open and running years before that guy was born. He probably just bought it from someone. But what the hell? Why buy a Pub? Plus, this pub doesn't open until 6PM. &you lucky kids. They don't check ID. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Heart of Horatio Despite the weird sounding name, it really is quite literal. Heart of Horatio is actually the town square located at the heart of Horatio. A fountain sits right in the middle and benches are scattered around for people to sit and rest during their visits to town. 0 0 -- In: ---- By: Andre's Arcade One of the new stores recently opened in Horatio. It's sure to attract quite a bit of attention, being the only arcade in the small town. From racing games to DDR to those simple basketball games. Hell. It's pretty much the equivalent of McDonald's where you can find your burgers, fries, and all that other unhealthy junk. It's just another somewhat new place in Horatio. So, Horatio's a small town and all but the people there, including kids & staff members from Reinigen Institute, are practically insomniacs. What better place to spend a few hours drinking and dancing than at some night club, right?
