Right click on your photo from an image hosting site such as photobucket.com. Click on 'Properties' and highlight the web address, right click and select 'copy'.
Come back to your post and click [img] then paste the link into the box, click okay. Like so...

And you get Richard Felix and my dog Rolo!

Please try not to make the photos too big and photos are limited to 10 per post, so dial up users beware! It might take a while if others have posted 10 pictures per post!
I hope I've helped, if you still can't get it, let me know here! :)

Is there a limit to our "bandwidth" that we could overload in a day? We might want to link to photos if that's the case... :)

I think we can only upload from sites rather than from our own pcs, so I don't think there is much of a limit... We have a 16MB limit on Disc Usage but if the board picks up, we may purchase extra bandwidth to help with it. It's not expensive, so don't worry too much! I wouldn't imagine that it'll be more... we can always test it to the limit with pointless pictures! LOL

For those who are worried... we've only used 1.66% of the space we are allocated without having to buy more... so don't worry about pictures anymore... it's only £20 a year if we need more space anyway... I'm sure we can stretch to that! :D I spend more on useless things like magazines!

I've had my own "freebee" site for over two years now and I've never had a bandwidth problem. Just be sure to clean up the forum regularly. I probably clean mine like once every six months, but I don't have that many members either. :) :)

Do you have to have an image hosting site? You can't just take an image from your computer?

(And hi, all)

You can upload pictures from your own pc, but that uses up bandwidth, so it's better to link from a photobucket-type site if you can... We've plenty of bandwidth at the moment but for future use, it may be better to link from a site. :)
Welcome to the site btw! :happybun:

So it won't let me upload from my shutterfly account, tells me it's an improper format. Anyone know why?

No that's very strange. Ang can ask Dapy, he's a computer guru. Sorry I can't help Fergi.

I'm guilty of using up bandwidth.

Only gifs and jpgs are supported I think... if it's a bitmap, it won't post.... Is the shutterfly account private, often if it's taken from a private site, like an msn group, it won't upload from there.

I don't know why shuttfly doens't work, it is jpeg format as far as I know (that's what it says) Maybe it is a private sight. I put some pictures into photobucket and that worked so I will just use that for posting on here. Thanks for the help guys!
