Played MAG for about 3 hours today and I am loving it, kick game all around In the few hours I played I was shocked at how fast people were ready and willing to work as a team<-some thing rarly seen outside the clan in MW2.

Currently playing through as SVER with Go-Nads and crew, Smitty hell even huffndro picked up MAG. Playing through as Raven after we finish up SVER ending with Valor. Played several sabotage matches today, One of which we won faster then any time ever in the beta. Match was even as far as people but over in less then 5 minutes. I hope more RO join us on MAG

I got this e-mail last night about the changes since the beta it is a good read.

January 26 is just one day away with MAG arriving on store shelves worldwide tomorrow and throughout the week. Before you delve into your first “official” match between Raven, S.V.E.R., and Valor, though, we wanted to make sure that you knew two things:

* What the differences between the Beta 5.0 and the final version are
* How we implemented your feedback from the beta to affect the retail game on day one

First, let’s talk about the differences between the final game and the beta you tried out a few weeks ago – the most obvious of which is the mode and map count. Whereas before, the Beta version of MAG only offered six maps and two modes, the retail version has a full five modes with 15 maps to play. The final game also includes a handy offline training mode, unique armors, new cinematics, art galleries, trophies, and the always-popular Veteran Mode that lets you start all over again with a permanent XP bonus and the ability to switch your faction after hitting the level cap. Of course, graphical and audio improvements are in there too.

But our “out of the box” distinctions aren’t all there is to talk about. We’ve also addressed a number of topics that were brought to our attention when you were testing MAG earlier this month, and will deliver them to you the moment you boot MAG up with a small in-game patch (roughly 60-80 MB depending on your region).

Among these upgrades is the oft-asked-for ability to knife an enemy while you’re reloading your weapon — in addition to a pretty significant framerate increase during player-heavy games and noticeable differences in the effectiveness of every weapon and piece of armor. Moreover, we’ve gone back and added all-new light settings for every environment and increased the amount of time you can sprint before getting tired.

i agree 100% but I will not get rid of MW2 just yet the trade in value absolutely blows $15 last time I checked may have dropped since.

I did not start Valor only because of Veteran Mode. It is like prestige from what I have heard you can start out on any faction once max out on rank you get the veteran option and can switch factions(PMC's) I will end on Valor.

Was going to start out on Raven but the amount of kids there and lack of team work was not worth the head ache.

That's HORSESHIT! I ran around and bought a "used" copy of MW2 when I got my 360 and it was fucking $58!

MW2 is a really good game. I wasn't too impressed with MAG. The only positive thing I see about MAG is the dedicated servers, therefore no lag. Also, MAG has been patching the glitches consistently. readneck

Ya, wasn't too excited about the beta. But, I didn't like Killzone either. To each her/his own I guess (isn't that how the saying goes?).

Trade in value vs buying a game used there is always a big difference in price.
Gamestop, EB games and just about any other game store will most times give you a max of $25 to maybe $30 for a trade in credit, Even more so on games that are next to new.

That only last a few weeks before the "TRADE IN" value starts to drop! A lot of things can play a factor in the TRADE IN value of a game. Like how often said game is traded in, How well said game is selling etc etc. All game stores buy cheap! How ever much TRADE IN $25-$30 max and turn around and sell USED for much higher.

I have several friends that work for places like gamestop and they will all tell you that is the stores rule buy cheap sell high. It sux ass and i agree it is horse shit.

MW2 across all platforms "TRADE IN" Credit is $15. Thank the PC crowd there the ones that started the hacking and transfering it to both consoles.



My self I enjoy MAG more as there is Next to no lag( Dedicated Servers), No cheating/Glitches, Great developer support, Tons of teamwork, Absolutely no heavy aim assist, Large maps, Tons of objectives across all game modes and oh yeah my favorite thing of all time next to NO CAMPING. pound it

MW2 is a fun game, I enjoy it but it needs serious patching! The save files getting hacked on a weekly bases and the amount of glitching going on every day are killing the game. When that is not going on I enjoy the hell out of the game.

As far as MAG VS MW2 I could give a fuck less who likes what game better that was not the point of this thread. I will be playing both games just for right now I will be on MAG more often then MW2.

I will still do thunderdome once there is a start date in place, Will try my best to make free time for it.

Munsey, you should do veteran mode with me in Raven. Then go back to Valor with me. I want to finish a few guns while I'm in SVER before I switch, though. I need 960 with the shotgun, 900 something with the pistol, and 300 something with the SMG. Then I'm switching. If Mosh would hurry up he could go at the same time, too.

But, right now I have to wait for the stats server to start tracking again. So, however long that is going to take. I know they're doing something for leaderboards and I think that is what's fucking it up.

I'm hoping they work tomorrow, if so I can be done with the shotgun and SMG tomorrow night maybe. Then the pistol the day after. Then I think I'm switching. If I can get finished sooner I was going to work on the knife kills.

You start working on the medals and ribbons yet? That's actually really fun. If you are good at bunny-hopping, aka the Halo Jump, the shotgun is reaaaaaallll fun to play with. Guys will be screaming when you do that to them. "A FUCKING SHOTGUN!? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!" The knife ribbon is pretty fun, too. You get to do some ninja shit for that ribbon. You gotta have something clever to say to them first, though. MY favorite is running behind them and asking them by name "if they ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light." Then as soon as they do their about-face, I knife them. I laugh my ass off to that one. I'm easily entertained, though.

I am at like level 10 with Sver, just haven't had the time to play very much right now! And it's getting very very annoying!

How is the game going? Heard the reviews where ok for it not too great. After buying the ps3 i dont have money to drop on it but I will pick it up through gamefly in about a month.

If its playing like it did in the beta I dont see how it could be getting bad reviews its a blast and there is not one game that can compare to it.

I have been busy with stuff around the house setting up a sleep number bed etc. I will be on tonight, I am at level 20 some thing with SVER.

Beast the game is still a lot like the beta bit faster movement now and still runs very smooth and the graphics have been polished a lot since the beta also. Reviews have been way off about the game IMO.

SVER maps are still a bit over powered but I honestly feel that comes down to how well a team works together. I have a a lot of friends that went with Valor and the general complaint I hear about Valor and even Raven is people not wanting to work together with squad leaders Platoon leaders etc.

To my surprise a lot of people on SVER have been cool about listening to leaders and working as a team.
