I came across some info on this game. I had never heard of it before. The first one was on PC and was out in like 2001. They have been working on the sequel for over 5 years!!! It will be available for PC, PS3, & 360 sometime towards the end of this year... maybe.
This is the most realistic game I've ever seen. Makes Cod4 look like a cartoon!! There will be both single and multi player modes. Supports up to 32 players online. The battles take place on an island that is a real place off the coast of Japan which covers 135 square miles. Huge battlefields!!!

This is a pre-rendered trailer, but I've seen actual game play and it looks almost as good. The PC version wtih a mack daddy gaming rig could pull off those graphics, but I'm sure the console versions will be a tad less.
This game is all about realism. They are calling it a first person shooter, but it is really based on a real world war simulator. Everything in the game is an exact replica of the real thing, from the weapons to the battlefield.
They will have traditional Death Match style gamemodes as well as a "capture and hold" style, but the main mode of this game is going to be a "tactical mission" mode, where your team is given a goal to accomplish... like defend a bridge, or capture a town, or blow up an ammunition depot. Real world military stuff ya know.
You will also be able to add bots (or A.I.) into online games to make for huge scale battles. You will be able to add up to 224 bots, to bring the total number of soldiers on the battlefield to 256, including 32 actual people.

At the same time with the amount of bots and having battles that big this game sounds a lot like MAG, Non the less kick
.
Just like mag i have hope that they will not charge any thing to play it.

I was going to mention that. It is alot like MAG. Only MAG will have 256 actual people in one server, where Falshpoint will have 32. The mission/goal thing is very similar.

Don't count on it.
This game has been in development for over 5 years!! It was originally set to release in 2008 but then pushed to 2009. Yes, Gamespot lists the release date as May 26th, bu other sites have it as 12/31/09, and others have it as TBD.
So I wouldn't count on the May release date.

When I read Noble's posts, I can not help but think of the scene in Napoleon Dynamite when the chicken farmer replies to Napoleon - "Boy, I don't understand a word you just said..." lol

They have now pushed it back to October. If they keep pushing it back, it will get swamped by Modern Warfare 2 and not have nearly the debut.
