THE STORY

So long ago there was a man by the name of Sir Aleksandar Reed. He was your basic upper class lawyer trying to make a name for himself. There was a specific case he was working on with a rather testy client of his, pleading non guilty for a crime that they didn't commit. Aleksandar was up day and night trying to find a way to prove their innocence, but failed miserably. All he could do was sit there in agony as he watched his client be deemed guilty, and saw them being hauled away in handcuffs. Before they left though, they gave Aleksandar a glare that burned into his skull like hot coal. A stare that he would soon never forget.

That very night when he was taking off his shoes to go to bed, he heard sounds at the window of his penthouse. Without thinking, he opened the balcony door and went out into the night to see the source of the noise. He didn't find anything out of the ordinary so he turned back around to get back to what he was doing.

He started hearing the noises again but this time ignored it. A little bit after, when he was about to turn off the light on his nightstand, he found a purple envelope. He instantly sat up and opened it out of curiosity. He took out the purple parchment and read aloud, I won't be the only one.

Without a second glance he quickly got up and ran to the doors to make sure they were locked. He put on the alarm system and thought everything was safe. Little did he know that there was a certain creature waiting in the darkest corner of his apartment for him.

Aleksandar got to his bed and peacefully laid down, not really feeling guilty anymore for his loss earlier that day. That's when it happened. A small black creature flew down towards his bed and shifted into his client from earlier. Aleksandar tried to scream, but it was too late, he had been bitten. He had become one of them.

Usually when people are bit they act crazy and get themselves killed in some way, but not Aleksandar. Instead he tried to make the best of the situation like he always had done. He tried to research exactly what he was and what extra senses he had obtained from his transformation. Since there was no previous information about his kind, he was the original scientist of what we now know has Vampires.

He found all sorts of things. Things ranging from how they can't go into the sunlight, to special abilities that some have. But most importantly, he discovered that he was not alone. He wanted to badly to converse with people of his kind, but how could he if they were all a bunch of misbehaved mongrels?

That was when RAVAS was formed. In hopes of educating these Vampires to be the best that they could be. Aleksandar dedicated the rest of his life to studying these fascinating creatures and discovering everything about their kind. When he died he passed it down to his son, in hopes of him continuing the study. Little did he know, he had created a whole Reed dynasty.

THE LOCATION

When Aleksandar sought out a location for his school he decided that it had to be somewhere that they could blend in with the rest of the population easily. It had to be somewhere remote and somewhere private. He thought back to all the places he had visited when he was a mortal, and instantly thought back to one of his favorite locations, Greenland.

It was perfect. The sun basically never shined there, and he knew of a place that barely had any tourists or ever any interaction. That's where he decided to place his school. It was about 30 minutes from Denmark, the main city in the continent.

THE SCHOOL

The school set on the top of a giant block of ice overlooking the ocean...when it's not frozen over. The entrance is at the very top of the castle which is accessed by a long row of circular stairs. It is enchanted so it is only seen by the Guardian Vampire, the students, and its mentors.

The purpose of the school is to provide a comfortable learning environment for any Vampire that chooses to learn more about their kind. It teaches them not only the history, but how to survive in a world full of mortals and how to blend in. Most of all though, it teaches them how to use and harness their ability so they are in control of themselves and they can put it to good uses.

With a lot of time and a little patience, each Vampire can become an Elite and live a life as clean as any other mortal on this Earth. The day will come when each one fully embraces their Vampiric heritage, and take their first few steps unscathed into the sunlight!
