welcome

Bradford, Massachusetts is your typical New England town by the ocean. It is also home to Bradford University, a private college. Here the privilaged college students attend school. Some are rich and some are not but they all frequent the same places. So what's the worst that could happen?

MALLORY ANNE SCHWARTZ.

Age: Eighteen
Member Group: Freshman
Nicknames: Anne and/or Giggles
Played by: Emma Roberts
Body type: 5'4" ; 110 lbs.

Personality: Mallory Anne is a vivacious brunette. She loves life to the fullest and isn't afraid to show it. She loves to laugh, quite a lot. "Laughter is what keeps people young." her mother once told her, and she's sure living up to it. Mallory is a genuinely sweet person overall, but that doesn't mean she's gonna take any kind of attitude thrown at her. She may look sweet and innocent, but she's a whole lot of character behind that face. She will surely put someone in their place if they try to act smart with her. Normally, people don't get to see that side. In fact, she can barely remember the time when she had to snap back.

Mallory loves to be around people and she loves to talk, a lot. Among her group of friends, she is the chatterbox. Mallory is definitely not the 'It Girl', even though she is pretty popular on campus. She is very caring and knows what to say to lift a person's spirits. Some girls are jealous of her being overly friendly to a lot of people. As the socialite she is, Mallory can be characterized as the person who will always be seen and remembered.

Mallory also tends to be really jealous, somewhat ditsy and even clumsy, both physically and verbally when it comes to that guy she particularly likes, even more so if he's really attractive. Jealousy is natural in most girls right? With Mallory it's definitely true. She doesn't want anyone trying to steal her potential love interest, unless of course he's already taken. As for ditsy and clumsy, she can make a fool out of herself easily. She tries to laugh it off most of the time, but sometimes her friends won't let her live it down. She has some embarassing stories to tell of the time in eighth grade she professed her love to a boy and ended up with the classic pie to the face.

More than a name
Or a face in the crowd

Hometown: Danbury, Connecticut
Family: Mother - Patricia A. Schwartz ; Father - Michael T. Schwartz ; Brother - Christopher M. Schwartz
Pets: Mia - Grey British Shorthair Cat ; Rufus - Yellow Labrador Dog

History: Mallory Anne Schwartz was born eighteen ago in the rolling green hills of the small suburban town of Danbury in Southwestern Connecticut. Mallory was conceived at the Danbury Regional Hospital not too far from the house where she would spend the next eighteen years of her life. It was a rather sunny morning in June when she chose to come into this world. Her brother Christopher was only three in that fateful day. After seventeen hours of intense labor, Mallory Anne cried in what would be the the first of many times.

Danbury, Connecticut is located Northeast of New York City, in the region where the wealthy call home and have obnoxiously humongous homes. The Schwartz are no exception. Mallory's father Michael works in Wall Street, and her mother Patricia is an Interior Designer for many of the citizens of Danville. The Schwartz's sprawling fifteen acre estate is situated on a private winding road shared by only one other home, among many tall pines and oaks. Mallory grew up with pretty much anything her little heart could ever desire. From the latest Barbie dolls to miniature ponies, Mallory was daddy's pampered little princess. But that didn't stop Mallory from doing house chores and living life like a normal child. She went to public school just like many of the children from the area do, because the school district is simply overfunded and the education is just as up-to-par as the private schools around the area.

Mallory Anne had quite the number of friends, some used her to get into her house and see how she and her family lived while most genuinely appreciated her for who she was and not for her money of what she had in her bedroom. As Mallory grew older, she knew that money did not buy everything, especially happiness. Almost everyone knew that the bullies were the unhappy lonely children who didn't have any siblings to share with at home. By the time Mallory got to high school, she knew that she would have to rebuild herself all over again in order to prevent herself from being picked on by the queen bees in the high school society.

Danbury High School, oh what a school that was. The classroom size never exceeded twenty students, although the graduating class was seven hundred and thirty-two. Danbury HS is a monstrosity of a building. With four floors and many hallways, the students need ten minutes in between classes to get from one side of the building to the other. The teachers were tough, but at the same time also lenient, and many of the students knew each other by the time senior year rolled around.

Mallory was ranked number five in her class which put her on acceptance for many of the Ivy League schools, not surprising since most of her class got accepted into Cornell, Princeton and Yale as well as the popular Boston University and Amherst College. However, Mallory wanted to leave the small town life that Danbury had offered. She decided upon Bradford University in Massachusetts. It wasn't too far from Boston or any of her friends so it was clearly an apt choice. Her parents were proud of her even though she turned down all the other schools she had applied to. Bradford was one of the schools that not too many people know about, since there are really only two ways to get in. As an incoming freshman, Mallory doesn't know what to expect, which both excites and frightens her. But for the most part, she's gonna love it here.

And I'll taste every moment
And live it out loud

QUOTE

Marissa was on her phone as she walked by facades of some of her favorite stores. With her Dooney & Burke handbag by her side, she was ready to tackle the Sunday morning brunch with her childhood friend Elise and her maternal side of the family. It was a custom for Marissa to have brunch with Elise and her family on the third Sunday of each month. However, it was not a custom to be walking six blocks to Cabernette's. On the phone, she had her mother who was busy fighting with the chauffeur for having her poor daughter walk to the brunch ten minutes late. Marissa didn't mind the walk, she did mind being late however. She didn't like to keep Elise and her mother waiting. Wearing her best Sunday outfit, Marissa had to make it to Cabernette's by 11:35 the absolute latest.

"Great, I'm ten minutes late and Grandma Georgina is gonna have a fit!" Marissa said to her mother on the phone.

For those who didn't know, Grandma Georgina was Elise's grandmother who Marissa thought of as her own grandmother. Her real grandmother from her mother's side was thousands of miles away in Tel Aviv, Israel. Marissa met her grandmother only once, when she celebrated her Bat Mitzvah three years ago. But that was ancient history.

"Don't worry Isa." her mother assured, "She'll understand when I tell her what's happened. Now I have to go, but I'll see you here soon."

With that Marissa's mother hung up leaving Marissa to sigh once she heard the click signaling the call was over. She didn't know why she bothered sometimes. Her mother was just plain too busy to be dealing with a socialite daughter. They both had schedules that clearly were jam packed from Sunday through Saturday. If either one of them wanted some quality bonding time, it would have to be penciled in. It was rather quite unfortunate, but in the fast-paced world of New York City, time is money...a lot of money. Marissa's mother was always busy with her job. However, that didn't stop her from being the best mother any girl could ever ask for. She was always on time when it came to scheduled events such as dinner and brithdays. When she wasn't home, Elizabeth was at work sitting on her office desk mutitasking between the phone, computer and catalogs of patterns. Marissa on the other hand was busy with her job doing photo shoots for the latest Dooney and Burke purse. It wasn't everyday that a fifteen-year-old Upper East Sider had a job as a print model. Heck, no fifteen-year-old Upper East Sider had a job period. Many of them were spoiled beyond belief using daddy's credit card to spend hundreds of dollars at Tiffany's and Bloomies or taking day trips to The Hamptons.

Oh the stressful lives of teenagers living in the Upper East Side. Sometimes a trip to The Hamptons is all you need. Get away from the city life and live it up on the perfectly manicured homes, sidewalks and people. One of the main events of The Hamptons was the White Party attended by so many of the city elite. Marissa would certainly be invited this year, and she knew just who to take. Elise. They would have a lot of fun together, not to mention the shopping done within the town of East Hampton. It's a millionaire's dream! But the White Party also brought some serious connections too, such as new job opportunities and the change to meet really hot boys. Oh yeah, a lot of boys clad in white. It would be just like on that episode of Gossip Girl Elise and Marissa saw a few weeks ago. They giggled like crazy throughout the entire episode. Marissa pushed back all these thoughts as she made her way to the front door of Cabernette's.

Marissa looked at her phone and frowned. It read 11:40 am, she was clearly ten minutes late. So opened the door ever so carefully only to dash up the two flights of stairs in high heels before reaching the second floor where brunch usually took place. Cabernette's, the two story restaurant used to be an art gallery before the building was purchased by the current owners. The second floor is where brunch and special events are always held and very rarely used as overflow seating. The main floor is always used and since the Upper East Side is very upscale, the owners like to maintain a small dining atmosphere. Late Sunday mornings are always filled with ladies dressed in their best with their friends at reserved tables. The array of trays filled with cookies, finger sandwiches and small hors d'oeuvres are usually set out buffet style for casual strolling down the table.Marissa arrived at the table where her mother, Elise and Grandma Georgina were sitting. She was rather out of breath and maintained her composure as best as she could. Marissa greeted them all before sitting in the Queen Anne chair.

"Why hello child. Glad you could make it today." Grandma Georgina began to say. "I am truly sorry about your chauffeur not being able to drop you off. I hope your heels haven't worn off." she added jokingly.

Grandma Georgina was a sweet lady. She was very understanding and full of humor. She looks amazing for a woman her age. Many people could describe her as a woman in her mid fifties, when in fact she was getting close to her seventies. It was probably because she didn't have as much grey hair as one would normally think a person in their late sixties should have. Also, there weren't many wrinkles on her face either.

"Yeah, it doesn't happen very often. I am truly sorry I am late." Marissa said rather sheepishly.

As soon as Marissa finished talking, a small ring filled the room signaling that brunch would officially begin.
