Black cotton pulled as she moved toward the gym area. Hands tucked casually into the black light weight jacket that dressed her slim frame. Fingers dangled in the keys to her baby, her Camaro that was her Father’s. She sighed at the memories as her head dropped. Her gaze lingering on the floor, before she finally blinked herself to reality. Long straight ebony stained locks swished along the cotton of her jacket as she strode forward. Light K-swiss carrying her a few more steps before her head slowly lifted, hands pulling from their capture and pushing on the transparent door so she would be granted access.
Light irises scanned over the area, taking in the other occupants and the equipment. Eyes shifted as she caught the music pulsing through the room, bouncing from every direction and landing on here. Rock music. The kind of music ended to get your heart rate going, give you motivation and keep you going for your goal. She nodded in approval, before a smile slipped to her lips. Eyes narrowing as the lyrics started to come to her, the words spilled from full lips; her head banging along with the beat as she recognized the song. Back in Black by AC/DC. One of her favorites. Whoever picked the music, she was glad that they were there.
After finding the girl’s locker room, Hope took off into that direction before disappearing inside. Her lips twisting before she peeled the jacket from her slender frame and placed it in an empty locker and locked it. Fingers graced the soft bright pink sports bra before lingering at the hem of her work-out pants. Moving out, hands moved to pull long midnight strands into a high ponytail before getting to work. Moving off to an empty space, she lowered to the ground to stretch out. She knew the benefit of stretching out, considering she knew what felt like to pull something. Not to mention, she was a dancer; a dancer that knew that she didn’t want or need to pull anymore muscles that she hadn’t already fell witness to.
She made sure to stretch out everything enough before she stood and moved toward one of the exercise bikes. The settings were made as she leaned back comfortably and let her legs do all the work as the music poured on her, as she bobbed her head to the rock music blurring from the speakers.

Rilyn liked to run. Inside outside, where, but until she couldn’t run anymore. And after sitting around all day doing nothing, she just wanted to run. It was dark out and kind of chilly, so Rilyn put on her black running shorts and a pair of green sweats and a green tank top and her pink coat and grabbed the keys to her car. She looked very colorful. She put Storm in the kitchen and made sure his bowl had food and water and then headed out to her car. She popped a CD in and rocked out on her way to the gym.
When she got there, Rilyn headed to her favorite locker- 26 and put her jacket and sweatpants in it. Girl was on a mission. Get to the treadmill quickly. She dropped her keys in there as well and shut the lock on it. And she headed out to the treadmill, which was right next to the bikes. She didn’t mind and set the speed and started running. Rilyn’s feet rhythmically hit the treadmill as she started off a bit slow, picking up the pace after about 5 minutes.
Rilyn liked to run. She wished she had remembered her headphones, but now that she had started running, she wasn’t about to stop. Not for at least an hour. And besides, there was someone playing music so it was good. She at least had some kind of beat to run to. Rilyn was looking around at the room full of people. She grabbed her blonde hair and pulled it up into a ponytail as she ran, using the hair tie that had been around her wrist. RJ’s hair was now in the messiest bun that Rilyn had ever seen- except she couldn’t see it. But she would see it later and hate it. But by then she’d be so sweaty, Rilyn wouldn’t care.
Rilyn picked up the speed and kept running. Focusing on her breathing and her pace. Increasing it a little more, Rilyn found her zone and kept running. It was at this pace that she didn’t pay attention to the rest of the world, that all her problems went away and that no one and nothing mattered. She smiled inside and kept running. The rhythm of her breathing and the sound of her feet on the treadmill echoed in her head. Nothing else mattered in that moment. Nothing could interrupt her.

Hands were now settled on the bar rests along the seat by the time she heard the door swing open. Another occupant that apparently couldn't sleep or just wasn't able to get their workout in for the day. She wasn't sure which it was, but she wasn't that worried about it. All she knew was that she needed to tire herself out in order to get the sleep that she so desperately needed. Her breathing had picked up and concentrated on that and her heart rate. She was hoping that she would be good and warmed up by the time this little session was done and over with.
Crystalline orbs were placed ahead of her, before the blond crossed her path. Glancing over as she noticed that she had chosen the treadmills. That would have been her choice, that was if the bikes were already taken. The bikes were more her thing, it got her warmed up and she could stay comfortable in the process. How could she go wrong with that? Thirty minutes had passed and her legs slowed to a halt. Her hand lifted to check her pulse before she gathered herself and moved to the treadmill beside of her blond. Deciding that she wasn't ready to move onto the weights.
A few beeps sounded as she set her course of action. Her pace was slow at first as she walked out the cramp that was beginning to tense in her thigh. Soft curses pouring from her lips in the form of a whisper as the incline began its climb and the pace sped up. Glancing to the side, she decided to try and keep up with the girl posted beside of her. Sometimes she hated that she was so competitive. This quality was one to be blamed on her Father. A smile played at her full lips as she thought back at all the games that they would play together and they both would try their hardest to win. Shaking her head, she was relieved as the incline deceased its lift and she could just run a straight pace.
She could tell that the blond was a runner. She had to have been, considering it wasn't like Hope was out of shape or anything. She was far from it and she was getting a little winded from trying to keep up with the girl. A few more beeps sounded as her pace slowed and started her cool down. Knowing that she needed her heart rate to drop, so she could concentrate on the toning. "Hey." She greeted the girl with a smile, not sure if she would be heard or not, but she at least had to try.

Rilyn was focused on running because that was how she ran. Focused. Unless like Conner was with her and then she was talkative. But tonight it was all about how far she could go. Rilyn was aiming for like 5 plus miles. But who knew how long before she got tired and had to stop, it had been a long day. RJ just needed to run.
She had reached 4 miles when she took it up another notch. Okay so the new goal was 8. Or so. Rilyn could run all night if she had to. Which would someday come in handy if she ever ran into a real life horror movie situation or if she were being chased by a bear. Neither of which seemed very likely. At least you know, if she were in a group, she wouldn’t be the first to go. She chuckled out loud at this thought.
Rilyn ran to the beat of the music that still engulfed the room. She liked knowing that there was something to hold her pace for her. She had a specific play list that she used whenever she ran, except she’d forgotten her mp3 player, which was quite the downer. But the music playing the room helped some- except sometimes she couldn’t keep with the beat because it was different than the last song, or didn’t fit with how fast she was running. Whatever.
The blonde didn’t run incline on the treadmill, she didn’t think it helped. She’d much rather run real hills, which she reminded herself she needed to do soon. She caught a glimpse of the girl out of the corner of her eye. Rilyn didn’t know if she was or wasn’t runner, but she was trying to keep up with her. RJ smiled to herself. She wasn’t competitive by nature, except when it came to running. Unless the girl was a triathelte- which would explain her presence on the bike when Rilyn came in, then she probably couldn’t keep up. So RJ wasn’t worried, or intimidated.
Rilyn kept running but her head jerked to the side. ”Hey.” Rilyn said as she kept going, looking at the mile marker- 7- and slowing down a little. Rilyn’s pace was steady as she focused back ahead, but her focus wasn’t as focused as it had been before- in case the girl next to her wanted to chat. ”I’m Rilyn.” She said introducing herself. ”Rilyn Jamison.” She would have held out her hand but she had just wiped the sweat from her forehead and she was running- there was no possible way she could stick out her hand and not fall on her face. She was not graceful. She could just run.

Hope smiled then, as the girl returned the greeting and introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, Rilyn. I'm Hope. Hope Evans." Finishing her own introduction, she flashed her a grin as she continued the slow pace that she set for herself as she dropped her arms to let them swing at her side. Hope was always more of a walker, than a runner anyway. A smile flooded to her lips, as she picked up on the next song. 'Paperthin Hymn by Anberlin blurred through the speakers and she couldn't help but bob her head to the beat. This was more of a involuntary reaction, considering she had been dancing since she was super young. Finding the rhythm in any song or beat was always something that came the most natarul for her.
Turning as she glanced back at Rilyn, "You love to run, dontcha?" She asked knowing the answer already, but was always up for meeting new people. Everyone could always use friends, and Hope was always up for making new ones. You could never have enough, or at least, that was Hope's theory. Her friends had became her second family, as it should be. She is one to look up to her friends and look out for them. It was just something that she believed in. Sighing out, the cool down came to a close and she carefully stepped down from her elevated position and moved to take steps toward the weights. Fingers gripping around the dumb bells as she started her reps. She worked on her arms, back and legs before she finally moved from the station. She couldn't help the light smile that fluttered to her lips as she caught the side glances from the guys already deep into their routines. Shaking her head, she moved to the ab machine. The words of the song flowed smoothly from her lips as she continued to get those last few counts in. The muscle along her stomach burning and feeling as if they were on fire, as she pushed herself to keep going.
A light sigh escpaed her lips, as she slowly lowered herself to her normal height before she moved to buy a bottle of water. Fingers twisted at the white cap, before unscrewing it and taking a long sip. A satisfied breath moving past her lips as she walked back to the tread mill to do another mile of walking. Eyes moved to cast back to Rilyn, as she slowly shook her head in disbelief that the girl was still running. "How many miles are you going for?" She asked, as her head shifted to glance at her, but still keeping up her pace.
