SADIE was born 28/12/2008 she is not spayed.

Present owner had her since 3 months old. The 'breeder' brought 2 pups to her in Cambridge as she didn't have a car, both were puny and thin and one had a broken tail, she chose the one with the complete tail, he generously sold her to them for reduced price of £200, told her should be £350 upwards because of pedigree. She 'cant remember his name or anything about him except he was from Wisbech, he didn't give her a pedigree paper BUT did give her copies of the dogs parent's pedigrees, which have been 'lost'.

Owner tried to get Sadie vaccinated but the vet said dog was too thin to vaccinate. Sadie only weighed 17kg and looks really thin. She has had a history of diarrhoea but she currently does not have diarrhoea and is on small meals of James Wellbeloved and has put on 2kg. Her vaccinations are now up to date but she is not microchipped.

She is not insured and Vet suggested tests to find out what is behind the problem but owner cannot afford it. I suspect that she is a typical GSD with a sensitive tummy.

She is happy at home and lives with mum and her 2 daughters 11 and 16 (special needs). Basically they are not coping so Sadie needs a new home.

She is a beautiful dog, friendly and loving and gets along well with the teenage girls in her home. She is in good condition in terms of well groomed and clean and obviously loved. The girls have taught her tricks and she plays beautifully with them and she seems very smart and picks things up quickly. If fact anyone not involved would just view the situation as a very happy family set up..................

Dave do you know what she is like with other dogs. Any more info on her. If the owner wishes i could put her on Animal Helpline forum. we have a few gsd's in at the moment and they have alot of interest am sure Sadie would get a home from people looking on our forum. Is sadie under your rescue or is this a home to home homing. Either way we would be happy to put her on our forum and our website.
I could go round and assess her for more info about her if you and the owner so wish.

Thanks for the offer Tracy but we already have a lady in regular contact with the owner who has done a very detailed assessment. Sadie is still with her owner so not under our total control.

I am sure she would get interest on BIGGSD too but I dont want to spread the net too wide because she is entire and possibly in need of veterinary treatment which we can only help with and keep track of if its done through our vets.

Jesus! Just re-read Sadie's story... only 17kg?? Bloody hell, Chester is about 40kg and whilst he is no longer the ribby boy he once was he's by no means overweight either.

Dunno what the hell I can offer but if there's anything at all I can do to help this poor mite, as ever please just say Boss.

You know you want her ;)

I'm sure you would just foster all the dogs given half the chance!
