Rules suck, we know this, but, they are needed, so please read, respect, and follow them.
| QUOTE | Rules For All Players:
1. NO GODMODDING! In online role playing, this is Golden Rule #1! It means no playing other people's characters without their permission. Don't say they moved or spoke unless said character actually moved or spoke in their previous post!
2. NO POWERPLAYING! Golden Rule #2! Every punch, kick, slap, bite, scratch, claw, knee, flick, headbash and suplex you try to pull off does NOT always hit. In vice versa, you cannot magically dodge every attack sent your way or leave a fight without a scratch.
3. NO DOUBLE POSTING! Golden Rule #3! Give people a chance to reply! If it's an accident, make sure you ask a staffer to clean it up for you!
4. Do not bring personal disputes into the roleplay. If you have a problem with a handler, you need to take care of it through an outside source or contact a staffer with your problem.
5. Substantial posts are required! When starting a thread, you need to be able to describe your character -password part one: Hunny's- and their surroundings so that characters joining your thread can respond accordingly. At least three paragraphs when starting a thread. At least five non-dialogue sentences for normal posts
6. Respect the staff. We work hard to help keep this site going.
7. Respect other members. We're all here to have fun, not start making fun of people because we don't like them or don't agree with what they're doing or how they're playing a character. If you have problems, contact a staffer!
8. Please no Mary Sue's. Tamaki is Sue enough for every character that walks into the Academy. We appreciate the normal people and welcome those dubbed as 'commoners' with open arms. Your character is not always prepared for everything, does not have the perfect life, or does not have the worst life. You need to find a balance when creating your characters.
9. Surname first then given name when registering, please. ie. Yamanako Anna. If you need to sign up with something like 'tamakiluvsme' because you haven't planned your character yet, then okay, just as long as you request to have your name changed when you do! (There will be a provided Thread.)
10. This is a 15+ site, so be warned. 15+ means mild to strong language, mild to strong violence, mild scenes of a sexual nature, and sensitive topics, issues, and themes. If you are not comfortable -password part two: bunny- with any of these, then this is not the site for you.
11. Signature and avatar graphics ARE ALLOWED. Avatars are to be no bigger than 100x100 pixels. Signatures no wider than 500 pixels and no taller than 250 pixels. Any graphics in violation of these perimeters will be IMMEDIATELY REMOVED.
12. Please try to sign on once a week. Accounts inactive for longer that three weeks without posting in the Absence Thread will be listed on the next Roll Call. If not claimed, they will be moved to 'inactive' and eventually deleted.
| QUOTE | Rules for Adult Characters:
1. Adults are not permitted to post at schools unless the following applies:
-The adult in question is a teacher at said school. -The adult is a relative of a student in attendance and is visiting said student. -The adult is attending a school function open to all forum characters. |
| QUOTE | Rules for Students:
1. Students are not permitted to post at a school they do not attend unless it is after school hours. (This means a Lobelia student can't run in and roleplay with an Ouran or Higashi student if the thread is taking place during a class. This includes students walking across the grounds from one class to another.) |
|
| QUOTE | Things You Need To Know!
1. Residential Areas! If you wish to start a thread in your respective residential area and have it be your permanent place of residence you must put your surname as the topic title and your address (or the area you live in is fine) in the topic description.
| QUOTE | Ex. Topic Title: Sakamoto Residence Topic Description: Karuizawa |
Residence may be substituted for: house, apartment, flat, mansion, estate, shack, cardboard box, ect. Whatever it is that you live it! The topic description can be as specific as your apartment or house number and the street you live on or as vague as the general area you live in.
PM a staff member with the link to your new home so that it can be PINNED. This will prevent your thread from being deleted when clean-up comes around. This does not prevent you from starting other threads in the Residential Area forums, but it does prevent you from having another thread pinned. If your character moves, you either need to request that your address be edited or that your thread is moved to the Graveyard so that you can start another (this applies to multiple people living in the same home ONLY).
2. There are not exact posting orders! Exact posting orders don't survive well on RPGs and this is why:
| QUOTE | -In open threads, there are constantly characters joining and leaving. -Some characters have conversations to themselves and it isn't very convenient to wait for three or five or however many people to post that you aren't even interacting with before you can reply to the one or two people you are talking to. -Some people have to leave in the middle of a thread for long periods of time. It isn't fair to the other people posting in that thread if they have to wait for the handler of the character to come back before they can reply. |
3. Your character. This is just a notice to let you know that your character is soley yours, all legal rights and all that jazz, but as soon as your character is accepted on the site, they become a part of the story and that gives other characters the right to talk about your character even when he or she is not present in the thread. It's not godmodding, it's gossiping. Gossip is a normal part of everyday life.
4. The Pending forum. If you're still working on your character but you want to get your thread up, PLEASE post it there! It's a place for WIPs whether you're the one still working on it or the staff says it needs work. Also, double posts will be allowed INSIDE YOUR OWN CHARACTER THREAD if need be to let us know you're done and your character is ready to be looked at. This boosts your post count and saves us inbox space!
|
This is all there is for the time being. If I find the need to create more rules later on, I will, but hopefully the people joining the site will not create any reason for such action.
