"Huh?" Tamaki gasped when he caught the boy leering defensively in his direction. "N-No! I didn't mean it like that! I only meant to say-"

A fast paced, jaunty melody suddenly began, quieting him at once. The room filled with dead silence so that the quick notes became even more distinguishable and pronounced. The blonde stared at Kaiu's fingers, enraptured, as they flew nimbly over the strings, never making one mistake. "Ah! How amazing!" he gushed tearfully, echoing the customers behind him. It was then, that he had an epiphany. The light bulb shone bright over his head and he dodged for Kaiu the moment that he was finished. Kyouya, however got to him first. He watched their lips move impatiently and groaned, so excited that he could barely register their conversation. Secrets Blah Blah. Shamisen Blah Blah...

"Tamaki-sama!" A 2nd year with long dark chocolate colored pigtails bounced at his shoulder. "Will he play for here again?"

"But of course princess." He smiled, eyes determined when Kyouya's lips stopped moving.

"Kaiu!" He went to the boy, eyes solemn, hands grasping his shoulders. "I apologize for insulting your instrument." He placed one hand to his chest with teary eyes. "Perhaps you and I could play together sometime." His head suddenly snapped up from its bowing position, lilac eyes fiery. "But more importantly, Kaiu, from this day on... you shall be the Host Club's..." He made a grand gesture. "Maestro!" The club could use some form of entertainment. Their live orchestra idea hadn't gone as planned when one of the violinists had taken that slice of strawberry cake from Hunny-senpai... He shuddered at the memories. But he would warn Kaiu not to take any cake, and the customers could listen to beautiful music everyday while they were being hosted. Taking the boy's hands tightly, he held them to his chin, eyes quivering. "You'll entertain us, won't you, Kaiu?" His expression took on its usual smugness again. "Of course, I'd do it myself, but I'm too busy hosting. I'll have a stage erected for you and everything!"

Ever keen and wild child Mori was entertaining two delicate flowers in the far corner of the host club, they were beautiful like a summers rain, he spoke hardly a word to them, merely using his body as his instrument. He had let loose his jacket, now residing on the back of a chair somewhere in this massive room. He had unbuttoned his shirt from the top and bottom so it only was only held closed by a single button at his chest. He was in the midst of brushing a whip across his knees when his perfect and serene world that he shared with these two precious gems was interrupted by Tamaki and his roll call of “cast characters” Silently Mori ignored the roll call until he heard his name. Did Tamaki really insist on calling him the wild type…just because he lived and partied like an aloof rock star did not mean anything did it.

He grunted silently as the crowd of girls went wild in the room at the sight of Tamaki pressed against the rather interesting…young man that had entered their little “Establishment” He had that rather cold look on his face as he watched Tamaki take hold of the “innocent bystander” he was going to intervene on the bystanders part but the Shadow King stepped in as always, taking care of the situation for everyone else so only he was in Tamaki’s path of “destruction” Mori continued to frown as Tamaki carried on his act of lordship and princedom…Mori silently felt sick to his stomach and cast his onyx gaze over to Hunny. Looking at Hunny could always make Mori feel warm inside, it made things a bit easier knowing Hunny was out of Tamaki’s clutches and he was not filling his innocent little mind with wicked deeds and nonsense that simply put was Tamaki

The girls in the room simply exploded with the chipper of their cell phones and camera’s going at the sight of the two once more after Kyouya had intervened to save the poor helpless soul. Mori frowned even deeper at the sweet begging pleas and insistent begging of “Will he be a regular” Mori for a mere moment wished with all his might that he was inside the Kendo dojo instead of here entertaining…today was like every other day right?

So Mori had thought when he woke up that morning but now he was not so sure; things were beginning to escalade into one of Tamaki’s out of control messes and when the boy named…Kaiu as everyone seemed to be saying begin to play his guitar Mori knew the war was beginning…Someone dared to challenge the shadow king and in his own domain none the less…He could have been sick on the spot but he masked everything he was thinking and feeling as he stood up, he excused himself from his two ladies and strolled deeper into the wolves den.

Mori had reached the wolves den and he only heard the final words of Kyouya saying something about being sure to “have one shipped in” and it was in that cold tone that not even Tamaki was stupid enough to argue about. It made a small smirk quiver on Mori’s lips. He said nothing as he stood there but he did take his place at the arm of the sofa, leaning against it. His dark eyes showed no emotions are he simply stared down Kaiu, he had forgotten that his whip still rested in his hands, draped across his lap and it coiled at his feet, the rather long bullwhip rested intimidating in Mori’s hand. With him sitting there Kaiu would be very afraid wouldn’t he? Or did he not yet know what type of people the host club members really were after all Tamaki liked to have Mori be the ”Wild type” and who knew what the “wild type” would do when The King and the Demon prince were told no…

Mori could almost feel the tension ready to burst at the seams and escalade into one of those events were it cost Kyouya a lot of money to fix…the kind that made Kyouya very very angry. He said nothing as his eyes attempted to bore into Kaiu’s soul and he was thankful Hunny was out of the line of fire, the twins were silent and had most likely whisked Haruhi away from danger and Sakura was not here to confuse his emotions.

"Ah! How amazing!" Tamaki's words washed over him like a warm summer breeze and made him feel all fuzzy inside. At least... until that dark-eyed boy who had saved him from Tamaki's overzealous introduction came strolling back over.

There was something so ... cold... in those eyes that he felt a lump settle directly on that warm-fuzzy and crush it into oblivion. Despite the smile on Kyouya's face. Maybe -because- of that smile.

"Very well played. It's really too bad..." Kai watched Kyouya warily as the Shadow-king filled his tea-cup again and settled into the couch beside him. "... that your father disapproves. If he knew you had that with you .... "
He felt all his senses go numb. His skin went clammy and pale, and he clutched his guitar as tightly to his body as he dared. Kyouya wouldn't.... would he? Kai couldn't live without music - without this guitar. It was all he had!

"Ahh. But no need to worry, Kaiu. I believe your secret is safe with us." The gaze that swept across the room left Kai shivering. Had the temperature dropped in here? It felt like it was below zero! The dark-haired boy beside him seemed, suddenly, so much less ... appealing. In fact, Kaiu was getting vibes off of him that made him think of hockey-masks and large kitchen knives. He couldn't help but wriggle away from Kyouya... and find himself bumping into an enthusiastic Tamaki, gripping him by the shoulders.

"We'd be more than happy to store your instrument here where she would be perfectly safe. "" The demon-prince continued, a flash of devious light whiting out the lenses of his glasses for a moment. "All we'll ask in return is that you play for us when we call on you to. I understand you've trained on the Shamisen as well. I'll be sure to have one shipped in. "

There was a finality in Kyouya's voice that made the loud protests he was about to shout wither into soft, stuttered mutterings.

"But... I ... That's not what I ... I can find somewhere... " He paused as a dark, looming shadow settled over him. He glanced up and was faced with quite possibly the scariest countenance he'd had yet to see. Dark toussled hair settled around darker, dangerous looking eyes and a body half-exposed that was rippling with muscles. He was HUGE!! And leering pointedly down at Kaiu with a whip in one hand.

"....else... to.... " All the color drained from his face, and he felt himself shaken as Tamaki enthusiastically announced to the world he would be the Club's new ... Maestro? Were they in -league- together?!

His blue eyes glanced toward the door, and he knew without a doubt that he'd -never- make it.

"You'll entertain us, won't you, Kaiu?" Tamaki's violet eyes filled with that narcissistic sparkling he'd already begun to associate with the blonde."Of course, I'd do it myself, but I'm too busy hosting. I'll have a stage erected for you and everything!"

Kai was fumbling helplessly, and there was not a life-raft anywhere in sight. Nobody was going to come to his rescue -this- time.

"Wait!! But I ... don't need a stage!! " He thrust a hand out toward Tamaki, eyes wide with a combination of fear, confusion an exasperation. " It's much better to play.." He insisted, his conviction shining through despite his unsteadiness. " ... at the same level of the audience! It's much more intimate that way! You don't need to go through the trouble ... of... buil... "

And then, the words he'd just said played back in his own mind and he just about fainted. The girl's squeals were almost deafening as the whole of the club (Including the clientelle) decided his fate -for- him. GOD how he wished he could get up and run. Or even 'walk' down the stairs just outside the door. He was half tempted to merely allow himself to fall head over heels down the staircase. It might be less traumatic than what he was currently going through! He flailed wildly in an attempt to dissuade anyone who would listen to his plees, but nobody was listening.

Someone help....!! He cried desperately in his mind as he clutched like a child to his mother to the guitar in his arms. Maybe... if he closed his eyes -really- tight, it'd all go away and he'd find out this had all just been a very -bad- dream.

While Mori’s piercing onyx and smoke grey eyes attempted to bore into Kaiu’s soul he felt as if he would die of boredom; it really was stressful having to be this handsome and good looking and not to mention always living dangerously on the edge but then again that is what Hunny and Sakura were for, to pull him back from the edge of his own personal hell and depression he never spoke of, he simply took it out in Kendo and his credit cards. Even if warmth radiated in from the clientele and his brethren all he could feel was the coldness, the sub-zero like temperature that permeated from Kyouya as if he was the living dead and had no soul…being dead was something Mori would attest against but as far as Kyouya having a soul that was something Mori was willing to bet money on that the Shadow King did not have. Tamaki continued on with his endless madness, the rose back ground constantly flashing as he said “Yes my Princess” and the girls would swoon.

"You'll entertain us, won't you, Kaiu?" Tamaki's sweet melodic voice asked thick with accent and heavily coated like cream and honey."Of course, I'd do it myself, but I'm too busy hosting. I'll have a stage erected for you and everything!" Mori felt himself silently gag, really did Tamaki have to be so…so…flamboyant all the time, it was rather irritating in the manly man’s eyes and Mori for sure was a manly man. Then came the plea for help once more "Wait!! But I ... don't need a stage!! " as Kaiu thrust a hand out toward Tamaki, eyes wide with a combination of fear, confusion an exasperation. " It's much better to play.." He insisted, his conviction shining through despite his unsteadiness. " ... at the same level of the audience! It's much more intimate that way! You don't need to go through the trouble ... of... buil... “and before he could even stutter out the last of the word there was a squeal of excitement. The kind that a new comer would not be accustomed to, he looked across the room and smiled seeing Hunny enjoying his strawberry cake. He should be the center of attention not this…this…musician wannabe Mori thought to himself.

Silently Mori held a grudge against Kaiu as he was the one who most likely would have to build the stage that Tamaki promised this….outsider. Really Mori was bitter at times, especially against outsiders who thought they could just walk into such a imitate circle. He leaned closer in, closer to Kaiu’s face and almost as silently as a mouse said “No like” his tone was completely flat, devoid of emotion and cold. He would straighten his body and turn his gaze away and towards the piano.

"You're right, Kaiu-kun!" Tamaki gushed, features wild with excitement. "What was I thinking? Of course you don't need a stage." A smirk curved over his full lips. "Instead, you will take to walking the floor, going from host to host and providing wonderful background music for us all!" He snapped his finger and with a fluid gesture, pointed directly at his best friend. "Kyouya! Have a Rennaisance musician costume of the finest silk delivered immediately!" His hands clamped down on Kaiu's trembling shoulders, eyes burning into his. "This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life! The chapter... of-!" The blonde stopped abruptly, his gaze traveling to a less than welcoming Mori.

"Eh... Mori-senpai?" He caught up with the taller man, expression concerned. "Are you feeling alright?"

Haruhi was currently located at an isolated corner of the Third Music Room, offering a plate of gingersnap cookies to two blondes and one redhead. Their table was loaded with an assortment of cups and teapots, hold varying level of tea, instant coffee, and other beverages. Not to mention some leftover cakes and sandwiches. Her clients were obviously pretty girls, which made Haruhi wonder why they spend so much time in this club. With faces like those, they could easily find a boyfriend outside of this club to entertain them. But of course, they were rich, and rich ladies adore their frivolities much to Haruhi’s dismay. At this moment, the scholarship student turned host was much more dedicated to her clients to notice the boy who stumbled upon Tamaki’s grotto of a club. Thankfully she wasn’t interrupted by the kingu’s roll call of ‘cast character,’ seeing that he left out the ‘natural type’ during the process (which she was grateful for). But once her clients’ attention was now towards the ruckus at the front, it was then did Haruhi’s curiosity was officially captivated.

Haruhi blinked. Then blinked again. She tentatively raised one hand to her eyes and rubbed them, and then looked again just to make sure. Yep, her eyes weren’t deceiving her, a boy had entered the Host Club. However, it was obvious that it was out of a mistake.

While all the girls in the room gathered towards the spectacle, Haruhi didn’t acknowledge the event. She supposed she could join in with her fellow host members and all of the clients, but well, she’d much enjoy her time in the back. Nevertheless, she couldn’t help but think of that boy’s situation. It was much too familiar, which made Haruhi reminisce on her first encounter with the Host Club for only a moment. The boy appeared distraught, as though he was uncomfortable with all this pressuring attention he was receiving (she wouldn’t blame him anyways). This is rather ridiculous, thought Haruhi, and so she summoned enough courage to bypass the screaming girls, fight off her host club members and save this poor boy from peril.

On her way towards the excitement, Haruhi’s ears were enchanted by the unfamiliar music. It was captivating, and even all the girls had stopped their squealing and were instantly charmed. But by the time Haruhi was nearby, the music had stopped, and she was slightly disappointed by that.

Just when she was standing among the dress-clad girls, Haruhi took in a brief moment of observation. Figures, Tamaki was making everything so dramatic, and instantly Haruhi wanted to face palm. Kyouya was rather amused as he watched the progression of the boy’s – who Haruhi now learned that his name was Kaiu – expressions in reaction to the subtly dark comment about the guitar. Kyouya was definitely on to something, and so Haruhi’s face morphed into suspicion, flashed briefly into worry and finally settled into a skittish wariness as no evidence came up to contradict what she had heard. Nearby Kaiu was Mori, who seemed to disapprove of the boy’s presence here.

While Tamaki was busy with Mori, Haruhi took this chance to apologize on behalf of the Host Club. Emerging from the crowd of girls, she stood before Kaiu, and greeted him normally. “Kaiu, I believe? I apologize that you’re caught up in this,” Haruhi said with a small smile, and her large brown eyes gave him a sympathetic glint. “Don’t mind Tamaki-senpai, he always fawns over everything. But, I’ll admit – the music was beautiful. I could hear it from the back.

"No like." Like a knife from the shadows, the cold words stabbed through him, leaving him momentarily numb with fear.

Really, he wasn't sure how much more of this he could take. He'd been through just about every emotion possible. His face had gained and drained color like some kind of malfunctioning mood ring and he found himself not only cornered, but utterly exhausted.

He'd been overwhelmed from the moment he'd inadvertantly stumbled in the door - and not a soul in the room had missed a beat in putting him through his paces. Normally, he was such an easy-going guy; but he'd walked into a house of madness and had never been given the chance to recover from his initial shock.

Each new face came with some sort of ... extreme... in character that sent him reeling anew. Tamaki's over the top drama would have looked ridiculous to him on any normal day - amusing, and slightly embarrassing but certainly not something to send him into mind-numbing brain-drain. It was the blonde's greeting that had sent Kaiu flailing into the depths of a churning ocean of unruly feelings. He was barely treading water and could feel it all wanting to pull him under to drown.

"Of course you don't need a stage." The Host King's face morphed into a suprisingly attractive, and quirky little smile that made the world freeze in place for a moment. "Instead, you will take to walking the floor, going from host to host and providing wonderful background music for us all!" A snap of the fingers emphasized a light that was suddenly gleaming in those purple eyes. Next, a flamboyant gesture that thrust a finger directly at the demon sitting on the opposite side of him. "Kyouya! Have a Rennaisance musician costume of the finest silk delivered immediately!"

A .. what?!? Wait! Walking the floor? How was he going to tell Tamaki that he couldn't play and walk at the same time? Or, more to the point, that this had been a really big misunderstanding?

Hands clamped down on Kaiu's trembling shoulders, Lavender eyes burning into his. "This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life! The chapter... of-!"

The crashing waves had finally pulled him under when a line was cast out to him.

Big brown eyes and a soft smile that lifted him up and bolstered his resolve. Something was different about this one, and he could sense at least a 'little' sympathy.

He clutched for the life-line desperately, tears welling at the corners of his eyes in, perhaps, a premature relief. THe words "No Like.." reverberated through him, their dark and menacing sound filling his minds-eye with visions of murder in the night. What had he done to earn that monsterous man's wrath?! Whatever it was, it made him -very- eager to leave.

As did Kyouya's quiet plotting and Tamaki's.... well... Tamaki-ness.

“Kaiu, I believe? I apologize that you’re caught up in this,” His voice was... a breath of fresh air. Natural and unlaced with the eccentricities the others possessed. “Don’t mind Tamaki-senpai, he always fawns over everything. But, I’ll admit – the music was beautiful. I could hear it from the back.”

His heart fluttered anew, and he returned a smile that was a bit wobbly, but entirely heart-felt. "Thank you... " He paused... realizing that he had no idea who this boy was, or what his name could be. Obviously, this newcomer had heard Kai's name from among the crowd, but Kai had been far too overwhelmed to catch this boy's name. " ..ah... " He searched his muddled mind for the right way to greet him, and settled on something generic enough not to insult anyone. He hoped. " ... Senpai. That's very kind of you to say." He focused all his attention on Haruhi - Doing his best to ignore whatever may be transpiring just to the left and the right of him.

"I appologize for interrupting...club activities.. I don't mean to be a nuissance. I'd leave but..." He glanced from side to side, and 'erked' when he came into eye-contact with Kyouya... who looked quite devilishly bemused. "...I " He tore his eyes away and returned to focusing everything on Haruhi.

Nevermind the sharks in the water. Cling to your life-line and swim for your life!

"... I seem to be stuck..."

The chaos continued, though it now had a certain ... direction... it was heading. Everything seemed to be going the way he had hoped, and it had taken a minimum of effort to steer Tamaki toward his ultimate goal.

Having a musician around could only bolster their numbers. Live music always attracted customers, and besides. This -was- a music room. Kyouya sipped at his tea, his back resting comfortably against the couch as he observed the next few moments. Oh. There was that telltale light in Tamaki's eyes. And then came the grand gesture - finger hovering only inches from his nose. Kyouya set his teacup down and pulled out that sleek black notebook of his.

Rennaissance outfit - modifications to be made for wheel-chair and/or crutches? Look into means of getting Uhoudouji up and down stairs. Mori? Not likely a very good idea. Will try, myself. Renge suggested showing 'tender' side to character. May be worth looking into.

Set up 'stage area' in back corner of room - to draw customers in.

Call nurse's office. Have wheelchair delivered to bottom of stairs by the end of Host Club today.

He clapped his notebook shut, just in time to see Haruhi emerge from the gathering around their newest... recruit. of course, the 'natural' renewed the twitterings of joy from the girls who were disappointed in the music already being over as well.

"I'd leave but.... I seem to be stuck." Kyouya pressed two slender fingers to the center of the frames of his glasses, pushing them back up into their proper place. That's right. Kaiu had arrived without any of the equipment the records he'd looked up had claimed were necessary. "Ahh... the stairs. " The Demon-prince nodded knowingly."That begs the question... how did you get here?" Dark eyes glanced toward the doorway. "I don't recall seeing your crutches when you came in. Did you drop them somewhere? "

Gently, he raised the matter of Kaiu's disability... hinting at it, so that the audience could wonder and guess. Crutches? He heard a quiet voice or two say. "Just outside the door perhaps? I appologize, we were so swept up in the moment, I didn't realize. " Kyouya bowed lightly, in a very gentlemanly appology that was, of course, completely empty.

"Eh... Mori-senpai?" He caught up with the taller man, expression concerned. "Are you feeling alright?" Tamaki asked him, the blonde and his endless questions.. Mori would incline his head and then nod that he was perfectly fine, from the midst of the farm corner Haruhi had stalked forward; Mori was rather impressed that she dared to brave the screaming fan girls and the madness that Kyouya had created. I could hear it from the back.”

Really did everyone think this guys guitar playing was that great? Maybe Mori was being harsh or it was the fact that there was an outsider in this holy domain that Tamaki and Kyouya ruled over and he felt it was his duty to protect those that were his family more so then his real family. His thoughts were interrupted by:

"Of course you don't need a stage." Declared Tamaki the Host King's face morphed into a surprisingly attractive, and quirky little smile that made the world freeze in place for a moment. "Instead, you will take to walking the floor, going from host to host and providing wonderful background music for us all!" A snap of his fingers emphasized a light that was suddenly gleaming in those purple eyes. Next, a flamboyant gesture that thrust a finger directly at the demon sitting on the opposite side of him. "Kyouya! Have a Renaissance musician costume of the finest silk delivered immediately!"

Mori groaned inside, were they really going to have this pathetic creature in costume no less. At least Mori thought to himself that they should dress him as a fool to go along with all this foolishness. "I apologize for interrupting...club activities.. I don't mean to be a nuisance. I'd leave but..." Kaiu said as he glanced from side to side, and 'irked' when he came into eye contact with Kyouya... who looked quite devilishly bemused. "...I " he stuttered, “seem to be stuck” he managed to finish. Mori said nothing as he was looking away he was annoyed but the annoyance was masked on his face as he watched Hunny enjoy himself, oblivious to the world as usual.

With Kaiu trapped between Tamaki and the Shadow king, Mori almost felt sorry for the poor dupe. "Ahh... the stairs. " Came that knowing tone from the demon prince. “That begs the question... how did you get here?" Kyouya’s dark eyes glanced toward the doorway. "I don't recall seeing your crutches when you came in. Did you drop them somewhere? " he said in his most sincere yet insincere voice. Mori gritted his teeth, now it had really gone on long enough, he did feel sorry for the poor “creature” if this creature called Kaiu was going to be around he would need help getting here apparently and Mori simply leaned over to Kyouya murmuring “Electric chair lift” as a hint that they should have one installed for Kaiu.

If only the fan girls would stop screaming Mori might find himself in a better mood, he was starting to get a headache and the pain reliever was out of reach and dared not drink scotch in front of the clients, the stranger Kaiu and his family, they might think he had a drinking problem…well maybe a small one…

Tamaki grudgingly accepted his senpai's nod, though he couldn't help but feel that something was very wrong with Mori. He just hadn't been himself that day and he seemed rather upset. The absence of Hunny-senpai perhaps? He started to call for the tiny third year when he heard something heart melting from behind, like a chorus of angels. He spun about, stars in his eyes. "Haru-" Scarlet red flashed before his eyes and his expressions twisted into that of a father scorned. "... hi ."

What on Earth were they doing?! Standing there, so closely together, their complete attention resting on one another?! Had Kaiu been captured by his daughter's irresistibly cute smile?! Had she been smitten by his musical skills?! The horror. The horror.

"Haruhi!" He seemingly teleported in between the two, his feet rooted firmly to the ground, his eyes- now defensive and challenging- leveled with Kaiu's. "What are you doing over here whispering to my child?! What are you saying?!" With that said, he whisked around to scowl at his daughter. "I thought daddy told you never to talk to strangers!"

JUST when he thought he had begun to settle back down, things got crazy again! There was not a MOMENT he wasn't caught off guard or otherwise barelled over by some explosive personality or cooing fan-girls or demons in disguise.

What kind of place was this, anyway??

He'd no sooner gotten the word 'stuck' out, before he felt the cold and calculating stare level on him. His blue eyes flicked up to meet with Kyouya's dark irises - as the boy cornered him about his lack of crutches. He had -HOPED- to avoid the pity they usually brought along with them - but not having them was DEFINATELY a hindrance right now. He was relatively helpless to escape.

"...ah... no... I didn't bring them with me.." He stammered quietly, eyes now averting toward the floor. He'd been trying to be 'proud', but it was working against him right now. He'd used up all his strength just getting -up- the stairs. Nevermind trying to get back down them. His crutches wouldn't have done him any good right now, anyway. He knew his legs wouldn't hold him up, after that climb. He'd need his wheelchair for the rest of the day.

He'd only barely gotten -those- words out when Tamaki was standing between he and Haruhi - purple eyes blazing and attitude COMPLETELY the opposite of what it had been only moments before.

"What are you doing over here whispering to my child?! What are you saying?!" And before he could even really process what the blond had said, the Host Club King's frame had turned it's back to him. "I thought daddy told you never to talk to strangers!"

HUH?!

Child? Daddy? Blinking hard, he leaned so that he could peer past Tamaki and gape at Haruhi. There was -no way- that the brunette could be the Host Club King's son. That would mean that.... well it just didn't make any sense!! And what on -earth- had gotten him so upset, anyway?!

"Child....??? " He blurted out, his eyes darting to those surrounding him... searching for an answer. ANY answer. Anybody? Hello? All he got were blank stares - a shrug from the auburn-haired boy who'd come over earlier; was that a glower from the tall scary guy? An absolutely emotionless smile from the megane sitting next to him. The girls were swooning over Tamaki's protectiveness - Others devilishly delighted in his own akwardness. This was a madhouse.

"I ... just... " He couldn't even form a sentance properly.

He should have guessed it wouldn't take Tamaki long to jump to some ridiculous conclusion. By the time he'd gotten off the phone with the Nurse's Office, the blond had moved himself between the musician and his self-proclaimed progeny - guarding her like a mother lion guards a cub. Or more pointedly - like a jealous boyfriend.

With a sigh that only hinted at the exasperation hidden just below the surface, Kyouya returned his attention to the chaos that had once again begun to reign supreme.

"Don't trouble yourself over Tamaki." He quietly explained. "He's prone to unreasonable outbursts, such as this one." The Shadow King pointedly turned his gaze toward Tamaki. His constant smile wavered just a little bit, but the only ones who might have noticed were the blond himself, and of course... Haruhi - who had an uncanny way of knowing just how he was feeling, what he was up to, and what he was thinking.

Kyouya moved on to more important things, his dark, bespectacled eyes now once again on Kaiu. He was ignoring Tamaki's display with an intent that wouldn't be lost on the Host Club King. "I've just gotten off the phone with the Nurse's Office. Your wheelchair should be delivered here, soon. Affording you escape... should you want it." His tone was gentle - cool, but gentle. Helpful. The Host Club Members would know better, but the girls around them who had a secret crush on the Megane were quiet with shocked delight. Well not entirely shocked. Kyouya had a reputation for being kind and helpful. A Reputation completely juxtaposed to his true nature.

Not that Kyouya was being kind. Quite the contrary. He was making it plain, to both Tamaki and the rest of the room, that the boy sitting there was dependant on that particular mode of transportation. What good did it serve him? Well. First and foremost - Clientele. He'd done his research, and he'd found that the artistic type were much beloved - but so were the type who had to overcome some obvious adversity. He was calculating that Kaiu's appeal would rise, and with the interest bubbling about in rumors thorughout the school.. they might attract clients they might not otherwise have - for the live music.

It wasn't all for the Club, of course. Kyouya's helpful facade was to gain him some PERSONAL merit as well. With the Uhoudoji family on his list of contacts, it might be easier to procure some of the more expensive props at a minimal cost to the Club - and they were Professionals at transporting important and sometimes politically sensitive, oftentimes priceless objects across borders, countries and through checkpoints that FEW other people could. Having the Uhoudoji as 'friend' could only be good for him in the long run. So long as he wasn't exposed for his dubious nature by the others - he'd work hard to win Kaiu over. Despite his somewhat snake-like start.

Mori just sat there, his left eye brow twitched every so often as if he had a tick or something, his dark eyes trained on Kaiu and Tamaki, really the blonde prince of Haruhi's underpants was doing it again, that thing he did; what was it called. Oh yes making a fool of himself, he glanced at Kyouya and gave him that look of PLEASE MAKE HIM STOP. really there was only so much nonsense one could take and today Tamaki was blowing it way out of proportion, not that he didn't do it all the time mind you but he was starting to grate on Mori's nerves as Mori maintained his composure though for a brief moment or two he thought he was going to slip character and strangle Tamaki in front of everyone. Mori finally stood, he couldn't take it anymore and briskly strode into the mass of Tamaki and the newest dinner meal that was Kaiu to save Haruhi from it all.

He stood behind Haruhi and placed an hand gently on her elbow, leading her away from the drama that Tamaki was causing. "Haruhi... he said quietly as he motioned her back to her clientele that were looking a bit miffed that their host ahd left them stranded though as amused as they were they were paying for Haruhi's.."services". Mori could use helping Haruhi as a way for them both to escape Tamaki and Kyouya's clutches! Was it madness or was it just pure luck that Hunny and himself had joined the host club, maybe a bit of both? And where where in the back of his mind he was silently begging for Sakura to not show up and add fuel to the fire, though somewhere in his heart he was certain she might, but so far so good.
