The hallway, with its nice white walls and pretty bright red carpet that accented it almost perfectly, seemed to run for miles and miles, almost. Every four doors, a pretty chandeler would hang from the celing with its gold branch-like lines and leaf-like diamonds sparkling brightly. The doors were all red, with white door frames and gold handles only to accent the rest of the hallway. The carpet looked as though it was made of pure satin, and probably was. Very few people were walking down the hallway, barely making a sound. It was so peaceful and quiet, unlike the hallways were when school was still in session.

It was only a few minutes after the bell had rung, and already, basically everyone in the school, except for people who were in a club or stayed in the library after school, had cleared out. Emi was heading to one of the librarys Ouran High School had. Normally, you could find a library that had less people after school. It kind've bothered her how many libraries there was in this school, yet how little entertaining novels were stocked in them.

Emi's face was, like always, shoved in a romance book, this one happening to be entitled 'The Game of Cruelty.' She was nearing the end of the book, only about a chapter away from finishing it, so she was going to attempt to finish it before she got to the library. If not, she was just going to finish it there, but she preferably would rather read it outside on the grounds, under her favorite tree. Today was a very nice day, and she would rather not waste much time inside.

Her brown eyes widen at the part she was reading, knowing fully what was going to happen in the story. A strand of her hair fell into her face, quietly pissing her off. One of her hands left the book quickly to tuck the strand securely behind her ear. Her hand returned to the place it was, holding the book only a few inches away from her face.

'He looked at me with a face like he didn't mean what he did. But his eyes spoke differently. They were taughing her, laughing. She disliked very much.
After seeing that look on his face, it just honestly pissed me off. "You've been playing me like an ace of spades. You really think I'm going to believe that bullshit. You think it's fun to play with girls feelings."
"But, I didn't mean to." He said. I could see he was attempting not to laugh. That was
THE LAST straw. I wasn't going to take this bullshit.
"Liar. You LIAR! I don't love you. I never will... I- I love-" '

Her reading was interupted as she ran into a boy with black hair. She felt herself fall backwards on her back. A small 'oof' emmited from her mouth while her book landed at her side. Her straight hair basically scattered everywhere, curlying slightly from the impact of the soft carpet. She sat up, running her fingers through her hair, gently untangling her hair.

"Damn, why does that always happen," she said to herself while removing her fingertips from her hair. She grabbed her book, tightening her grip on it as she got to her knees.

She looked up at the boy, before quickly giving, no, showering her apologies on him, "I'm so so so sorry. Sumimasen, sumimasen." A quick feeling of guilt washed over her body and mind, forcing her up to her feet. She should've known better than to have been reading in the hallway. It was obvious she would run into someone. It's just the thing she does all the time. "I am really sorry. I know better than that."

[[OOC;; Okai, so I wasn't godmodding, was I? I hope that's not considered godmodding. I was just saying I ran into. Heh heh. *looks away nervously*]]

Kazuma was absorbed in his manga as he walked along the halls of Ouran academy. Oh wow...I can't believe Sasuke would go so far to get what he wants...no wonder nobody likes him anymore.

He was considering reading out loud in voices for the manga as it didn't seem to him that anyone would be at the school at this time of day. Suddenly though, he felt himself bump into someone, or something, and he fell backwords onto his butt, as he felt his manga fly in the other direction. "Gah!" He let out. Rubbing the back of his head, he opened his mouth to apologize when he saw that what he'd run into was a very pretty girl. Oh geez....Again? How does this always happen to me? he thought.

"Damn, why does that always happen. I'm so so so sorry. Sumimasen, sumimasen. I am really sorry. I know better than that."

He smiled and bowed his head in reply, still at a loss for words as he stood up. Grabbing an object next to him, he smiled at her. "No, it was my fault. I shouldn't have had my nose in a manga, should have been watching where I was going." At thought of his manga, he looked at his hand and saw what he held was in actuality a book. Looking to her hand, he saw his manga. "Is this yours? Looks like we got them mixed up." He said, sweating a bit.

"Is this yours? Looks like we got them mixed up," the boy with black hair said, her book in his hand. She lifted the hand that held a book and looked down at it.

"Oh!" she said, realizing that she could not remember what book was hers. She glanced upward to see if she accidently startled the black haired boy. She then looked at his hand to see it holidng her book. "Hmm... I- I think it is," she said, her nose slightly crinkling, and a puzzled expression adorned her face. Her open hand went up, making a soft almost fist, and pressed her finger and her thumb to her mouth. She was surprised again that she had forgotten whether she reading the book or not.

She was silent for a minute or two, secretly looking at the boy when she finally realized the book in his hands was hers. The boy was a bit taller than she was, his black hair quite spiky. She noticed his kind, black eyes. It was quite odd how his eyes looked so dark, but they basically smiled themselves. She took notice to the fact that he was sweating. 'What's the reason for that? Oh! Oh, heh. I'm not that pretty,' she thought to herself. "Yeah, it is..."

Her hand left her mouth as she lifted the manga to a good reading distance. She took one of her slender fingers and gently opened the manga book. She looked at the pictures, only to be greeted by two or three kids in a panel with headbands. She turned the page to be greated by the faces of the said children.

"You like manga?" She asked him, completely changing the subject, but not lifting her eyes from the book. She turned it to the cover and noticed "Naruto" in big letters on the cover. She looked up at him with a smile as he replied.

"I haven't read manga since I was in middle. I've kinda gone to romance novels know... But, they sometimes bother me," she said, looking down at his closed manga book. "I hate reading about love-sick teenagers. They are always such a bother to read about. Most guys aren't what you think they are. They are normally too consumed with lust to even register feelings,"Her voice was oddly pissed off. She looked up at him, gripping the book in anger. "Half the time, I feel like stabbing the book. I'm afraid if I read too much, I start getting ideas in my head that the perfect guy will come to me at this age. It's nearly impossible." She waited a few moments before realizing what she said.

"Ooh. I went too far again. Damn it, why am I always doing that?" She said, more asking herself than the boy with black hair. She lifted her hand to softly slap her own forehead with anger. She disliked when she went all off to a stranger. It created the awkward moment she's was so drawn to. Plus, she didn't want to think she was a freak, like quite a few others.

She lifted her hand to the back of her head, color flushing to her cheeks, but still smiled sheepishly. "You must think I'm such a freak now. Heh heh. 'Ts not the firt time that's happened..."

She handed him back his book, and took hers from his hand. "But thank you, uhm... I didn't quite catch your name... Mine's Emi," She smiled her friendly smile, sticking her hand out to him, just waiting to be shook.

[[OOC;; It is Naruto, right? I haven't watched much anime lately. T'was introduced to anime/manga only five months ago.]]

"Oh! Hmm... I- I think it is. Yeah, it is..."

Kazuma watched as she got up and gave his manga a look. She seemed to be looking at it rather thoroughly, carefully flipping it open to some points to read a bit, before finally looking back at him.

"You like manga? I haven't read manga since I was in middle. I've kinda gone to romance novels know... But, they sometimes bother me. I hate reading about love-sick teenagers. They are always such a bother to read about. Most guys aren't what you think they are. They are normally too consumed with lust to even register feelings. Half the time, I feel like stabbing the book. I'm afraid if I read too much, I start getting ideas in my head that the perfect guy will come to me at this age. It's nearly impossible."

He looked at her with widened eyes for a moment, before thinking on what she said a bit. Hmm...she has a point really. Most guys I know are horndogs who don't care much for a girl's feelings....and yet they get all the girls... If Kazuma were one of his beloved anime or manga characters, he'd be humorously crying right now, he thought.

"Ooh. I went too far again. Damn it, why am I always doing that? You must think I'm such a freak now. Heh heh. It's not the firt time that's happened..."

Kazuma waved his hands in front of him a bit after he handed her the book back, and got back his manga. "Oh no, no, no! It's fine, I don't think you're a freak. You're just really passionate about your romance novels, and get annoyed when they don't go the way you'd hoped. I do the same with my manga all the time." He smiled.

Reaching into his backpack, he put back Naruto, and pulled out another manga entitled Love Rumble and held it out for her to look at. "If you ever did want to give manga a try though, this one would maybe be more your style. It's a great romantic comedy. It's my favorite manga actually. Though I guess a guy liking anything romantic is a bit wussy, heh heh...heh..." He said, rubbing the back of his head with his hand. Kind of hard not to get into it I guess though. My parent's company does print it.

"But thank you, uhm... I didn't quite catch your name... Mine's Emi."

Smiling again, Kazuma nodded. "It's ok, don't worry about it. And my name's Kazuma, Teratani Kazuma. It's nice to meet you." He said with a tiny little bow of his head.
