Yes, Vikarion seems to be in a crisis of faith. It will be interesting to see what he will do next. I don´t think it unlikely that he will join the Star Fraction which is one of the few groups I know of that shares some of his esoteric views.

I’ve never had the patience for song and poetry. I prefer blunt terms; a product of my aversion against the political machinations of the bickering noble class during my upbringing perhaps.

I know Vikarion was growing troubled with his own lack of empathy for his ship crews and mortal followers. Also he was flirting with the thought that, as an infomorph, he is no longer truly human, and has transcended the species. I admit his beliefs are seductive, and have nagged at me recently. I must purge my body in pain to cleanse myself of such thoughts.

There has been another recent development on the IGS concerning Nikilaiki, who so briefly graced our ranks. She appears to be in the thrall of a rogue AI of a nature beyond my understanding. This creature demands a statement by Vikarion as one of it’s terms to realease her from bondage. I don’t know what to make of this. Perhaps it is an elaborate hoax. Were I in my pod I’d try to capture her to see the truth of it and so that I could release her and study this phenomenon.
