The Rivercourt

[Nathan Scott]

"Yeah, well maybe it is hopeless forsome people," Nathan joked, laughing a little bit. "Kind of like me and whatever the hell we're doing in math." he took the basketball, making another shot. "Now, if only there was a basketball class or something. That would bring up my GPA," he said. "Try another shot," he said, handing her the ball.

[Haley James]

"The math really isn't that hard." Haley said, shaking her head and trying to avoid shooting another basket due to her complete horrible-ness at it. "It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it."

[Nathan Scott]

"Yeah, well so is shooting a free throw," Nathan smiled. "Except for Shaq. He just sucks," he said with a laugh, waiting for her to shoot again. "You know, standing there with the ball in your hands isn't going to help you make the shot."

[Haley James]

Haley rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Yeah, but it will help me not look like an idiot since, if I do shoot, it'll miss by like a mile and a half." She nodded and put the ball under her arm as she reached up with one newly free hand and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "But I guess I can do it, just for you." She said and took the ball in both hands again. She faced the hoop and just tried to granny shot it. It hit the rim and almost fell in, but then fell off the side. "I think I'm better at it that way." She decided with a nod.

[Nathan Scott]

"Yeah, well that IS a legal shot," Nathan joked. "I mean, people will make fun out of you til the day you die, but I guess you could grany-styl it if you want to."

[Haley James]

"People can laugh at me all they want if it lets me make a basket." Haley told him. She went and go the ball, standing a little closer to the basket and trying again in the same way. It actually went in for once. "That was lucky."

[Nathan Scott]

"No, I think you just have mad granny shooting skills," Nathan laughed, going and grabbing the ball. "Well, since I've successfully taught you how to shoot a basket, or I guess, you more taught yourself, we can go somewhere else. Your choice."

[Haley James]

"Think I could beat you if we both played and just granny shot the whole time?" Haley joked then tried to think of somewhere else to go. "Hmm... We could go get some food and hang out on the Riverwalk." She suggested and shrugged.

[Nathan Scott]

"Sounds like a great idea," Nathan said. "But, where should we go get some food?" he asked her.

[Haley James]

"We could stop somewhere on the way there." Haley replied. "Or there's a hotdog guy there, isn't there? We could just get something from him."

[Nathan Scott]

"Hotdog guy sounds like a great idea," Nathan said, walking over to his car that the two of them drove to the court in, putting his basketball in it. "Let's go," he told her.

[Haley James]

"Aye aye, Captian Scott." Haley said and saluted him. She laughed and followed him to the car and got into the passenger's seat.

[Nathan Scott]

"So what do you wanna do?" Nathan asked her. "IO can give you some more basketball pointer, we could go down to the river, the bridge, it's your choice," he told Haley.

[Haley James]

"I think I'll skip the basketball pointers. I'm a lost cause." Haley laughed. "I don't care what we do, Nathan. I just want to spend time with you." She said and smiled, knowing it sounded cheesy, but she didn't care.
