The Counter #2

[Haley James]

You can order from the counter then go to a table, or stay there if you want. It's a good place to talk to Karen or Haley while they're working.

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton walked into Karen's and sat down at the counter. She had been so bored lately. Brooke hadn't been around at all and after seeing Haley leave the party with Nathan the other night, she wasn't in the mood to talk to her.

"Hey Karen, can I get a burger and a coke please,"Peyton asked,'Sure thing Peyton,' Karen replied and went to get her food. Karen brought th food back and and set it in front of Peyton.

[Ada Swane]

Ada entered the cafe and sat down at the counter, next to a blonde girl.

"Hey, could I have a coffee?" she asked from a woman behind the counter.
"Of course." she responded with a smile.

While waiting for her coffee, Ada looked around her. The place seemed comfortable and there were lots of customers talking and laughing.
Then she looked at the girl beside her. She seemed to have millions of thoughts going throw her mind.

Guess I'm not the only one with problems today..

[Lucas Scott]

After hanging up with Haley, Lucas walked into the cafe, looking around to see that she hadn't arrived yet. He shrugged to himself, taking a seat at the counter, waiting for her.

[Nathan Scott]

Nathan walked into the cafe, holding hands with Haley. He sighed when he saw wo was sitting at the bar. "Haley, come on," he complained.

[Haley James]

"Nathan, come on." Haley said, somewhat mocking him. "I need to talk to him... and you two should talk too because I'd really like it if my boyfriend and my best friend could at least attempt to get along." She pouted slightly then walked into the Cafe, pulling him along behind her. "Hey... Luke." She said as she walked over to the counter.

[Lucas Scott]

"Hey-" Luke started to say as he turned around slightly to face Haley, before seeing Nathan standing next to her.. holding her hand? He raised an eyebrow, letting out a sigh as he turned back around in the stool. "Haley.." he trailed off. "Come on."

[Nathan Scott]

Nathan turned over to Haley. "If I leave right now, will you kill me?" he asked her, a smile on his lips.

[Haley James]

"Nathan... Luke, just come on..." Haley said as she looked from one of them to the other. "We all just need to sit down and talk or something. Lucas, Nathan and I are dating now. Nathan, Lucas is my best friend. You two are brothers. I know you're both capable of understanding that."

[Lucas Scott]

"I agree with him, actually." he said with a smirk before Haley continued. "You two are dating now? Hales, come on this is completely.. this is just.. not you." he looked at Haley, ignoring the fact that Nathan was there, raising an eyebrow. "Half brothers." he corrected her. "And I'm completely capable of understanding that, but it doesn't mean I have to accept him."

[Nathan Scott]

"Yeah well I'm not in a real accepting mood right now either," Nathan said. "And how is dating me very un-Haley-like?" Nathan asked, a bit offended.

[Lucas Scott]

"Wow, we finally agree on something." he rolled his eyes. "Maybe because I have no idea what Haley could see in you."

[Nathan Scott]

"You don't even know me," Nathan said. "So you can't say shit like that," Nathan said, getting more pissed by the minute.

[Haley James]

"Okay guys..." Haley said, stepping into the space inbetween the two of them. "Before this turns into War of the Worlds, you both should probably calm down." She said then looked over at Lucas. "And Luke, I know you won't like to hear this but Nathan is right. You don't know him so don't say stuff like that."

[Nathan Scott]

"Thank you," Nathan said, leaning over, kissing Haley on the lips, partly because he wanted to, partly because he knew it would piss of Lucas.
