[Haley James]

You can order from the counter then go to a table, or stay there if you want. It's a good place to talk to Karen or Haley while they're working.

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton shrugged,"Everythings good I guess. Squad's shaping up really well, and I know if Whitey has anything to say about it the basketball team might actually have a winning season,"She sat down and waved to Karen,"Well if Nathan doesn't kill him self drunk driving they might have a winning season,"Peyton rolled her eyes. She knew her boyfriend was a pain in the ass and half the time she didn't know why she stayed with him,"So how are things going with you?"She asked.

[Haley James]

Haley followed Peyton to the counter, listening to her as she did so. She saw down next to her. "If Nathan messes up, Lucas can sure play. I predict some winning games involving him... as long as the rest of the team doesn't kill him or force him to transfter schools." She looked over at Peyton then as she asked about her. "Things with me are fine. Just trying to adjust to all of this new stuff that's going on really."

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton laughed,"Oh god you know Nathan would just love that,"She rolled her eyes,"I don't think it's the rest of the team he has to worry about, just mainly Nathan and Tim. I know Jake and Whitey will keep everyone else is line,"Peyton said knowing it was true,"Adjusting to what? Your best friend being thrown into the lion's den?"She asked with a smirk.

[Haley James]

"Hopefully. They may not be able to control the influence of Nathan and Tim. But who knows..." Haley shrugged then nodded at Peyton's next question. "Well, yeah... that. Things just seem different now. Lucas is on the basketball team and girls coming to the shop looking for him - and by girls I of course mean Brooke." She laughed. "Half of the people I run into on a regular basis now never gave us the time of day before." She winced slightly after she said that. "No offense..."

Peyton shook her head, Nathan was as pig headed as his father,"They won't be able to control him. Nathan gets what he wants no matter who he has to step on. Let's just hope one thing Lucas got from Dan was stubborness,"She said truthfully,"Well I'm pretty sure Brooke only see's Lucas as fresh meat. She's had all the other guys on the team Lucas is new and interesting. I give it a week before she get's bored and moves on,"Peyton sighed,"And none taken, but it comes with the territory. Lucas on the basketball team means popularity and he doesn't seem like the kinda guy who will give up his friends to be popular so you'll be introduced to the world too."

[Haley James]

"I'm not worried about loosing Lucas to everyone else. He's a great guy and he knows I'd kick his butt if he forgot about me." Haley smiled and looked down at the counter. "The whole introducing me to the world thing seems like something to be worried about. It was always me and Lucas against the world, now it's us and this whole other group of people in this big tangled web. But I guess things change and you have to go with it."

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton laughed,"We are not all that scary. I mean Brooke can be, but she's really nice when you get to know her. The only one who is REALLY scary is Tim. He's quite creepy, but then there Jake who's a total sweet heart,"She told Haley,"Bevan is kinda dumb, but she's pretty nice to,"Peyton shrugged,"I mean some of the parties can get pretty bad, but no one's gotten REALLY hurt, yet."

[Haley James]

"How would you describe yourself?" Haley asked curiously. "I mean, you don't really seem like everyone else. Definitely not your average cheerleader. Not that that's a bad thing. It's cool. Boy do I sound like a groupie."

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton raised and eyebrow as she thought,"I dunno, I guess you unaverage average cheerleader,"She shrugged,"I don't think I'm scary, Nathan sometimes says I'm a bitch, to him yes,"Peyton rolled her eyes,"I really don't care what any of them think, and that's probably the only way I'd survive the 'lion's den'."

[Haley James]

"Nathan calls you that?" Haley asked. "Is he nice to anyone? I mean, yeah, I should probably give him a chance considering I've never actually had a real conversation the guy yet, but from what I've been hearing so far he's not so nice."

[Peyton Sawyer]

"Well he is nice, but very rarely,"Peyton told Haley, After we have sex for about five minutes he's down right jolly, she thought, but didn't say because she didn't want to freak Haley out,"I'm sure there is someone in this world who will unmean Nathan, but I know it's not me,"She shrugged, almost disappointed.

[Haley James]

"Maybe it'll be Luke. They could start bonding and be all brother-like." Haley said then laughed once she thought about it. "Could you imagine that? Lucas and Nathan the best of friends."

[Peyton Sawyer]

Peyton shook her head,"Never in a million years could I possibly see Nathan and Lucas being friends, It would be WAY too weird!"

"I could see it being in the paper, on the local news, everything." Haley said and laughed again at the thought. "I wonder how much Dan would like that. I know I would be completely confused."
