Title: Up Coming Attractions
Description: Coming To An RPG Near You

Darmort - June 27, 2008 03:32 PM (GMT)
A Calm Wind, at the rate it's going, will either die or pick up heavily in the near future. One of the main problems is because the first, and possibly one of the biggest fights in the RPG, had, at the start of it, nearly 200 characters to roll for, PC and NPC alike.

Enough of that, I'm planning more RPGs anyway.
First and foremost, a pirate RPG. Dunno what it'll entail, probably make it up on the fly. Nothing too epic, just a standard Round Robin.

Second, a ninja RPG. Naruto based skills and abilities, very differently based world.

Third, Star Wars RPG. Who doesn't like playing Jedi? Or Wookies? Or Noghri?

Fourth, another Space Combat RPG using the revised 0.2 Edition Rules that I'm currently writing.

Fifth... well, this one's a big one and it won't be coming to life for a good while. Needless to say, this is going to be an epic'un.

Never. Say that. Again. Calm Wind dying would be a great tradegy.

As to the other rps, they sound good, though the latter ones (star wars and space) appeal to me more than the first two.

Pick me! Pick me!

Unless they need special stuff, beause I don't have any D&D rules or anything... Same as Avaris I'd like the sci-fi ones better than the fantasy/pirate/ninja ones.

Same here. ^_^

Interestingly, I'd agree with the spacey ones too. I'm not a huge pirate fan, or the Naruto portrayal of ninjas (Tenchu ftw), and Star Wars and your space one sound much more badass.

Wow, you're almost as much of a bastard as Russell T. Davies.

Almost...

oooooh, star wars sounds good...do I get to force choke FLaxes?

Darmort - July 12, 2008 08:21 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'm updating Calm by tomorrow night. I just have 500ish dice to roll which'll take forever. I hope you lot are appreciating this!

Also, there's other options on the table.
The first is a Doctor Who RPG, most likely round robin GMed by both me and Wiz as a joint effort.

The second is a warp reality and time shifting adventure. Ever seen Back To The Future? It's going to be nothing like that. It's going to be a whirlwind adventure where we break the future and change it back in the past, muck up the past and fix it in the future, and shatter the present and get removed from reality to glue it back together before coming back again.

The third is a 40K RPG that will be run *properly*. I'm taking an old plot and revitalising it. And guess what? You won't find it anywhere on the internet! The only thing I will give out is that there's an Inquisitional Commissar, a Daemon Prince, and a suitably fitting story line for any self-respecting Role Player to immerse themselves in.

Forth... I'm going to be a bastard again, but in a different way. MSN based Magic: The Gathering RPG. You'll choose cards from my own collection and essentially I'll play it physically against myself while you lot play it all against each other. Complex? Maybe. Fun? We'll find out.

Avaris - July 13, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
...

Doctor Who? Magic The Gathering? 40k and Time Shifting? All of your ideas are awesome D; I'll be appy whatever you run.

Out of interest, what sets of magic does your collection contain? I'm only really familiar with post Lorwyn...

Darmort - July 13, 2008 09:01 AM (GMT)
I mostly have Mirrodin, Eighth and Ninth editions, as well as Legions -> Guildpact. I'll explain a card's ability's if you need to. Over MSN, of course.

TheAdmiral - July 13, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
I have no idea how Magic works, I haven't seen a single episode of Doctor Who (stupid British show <_< ) and I haven't got a clue what the second one is, so please do a 40K one. Until you've explained option to that is anyway..

just my two eurocents.

Get in line boy!

@Darmort: Dr Who and Magic: The Gathering please! Star Wars to if your going to!!

Darmort - July 13, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
Option two is going to be a bunch of normal, ordinary people who get sent through reality/warp/worm holes into different times, dimensions, universes and planes of existance. Essentially, we get to play havok with time all over the place.
Admiral, search for Magic The Gathering Rules in Google, first link you cme across has links to the Magic Rules.

That's Doctor Who.
There's also the first five RPGs as well. These are all on the fence ideas. Doctor Who will come, but as I said, me and Wiz are going to GM it together. It should be the Warhammer Fantasy and 40K ones that you're going to be orgasming over. At least, you should be.

Mr Marshmallow - July 15, 2008 04:24 AM (GMT)
I'd like the MtG bit, I'm just getting back into it or starting up, depending on whether what I did before counts or not.

I'm not quite sure what Dr. Who is besides a TV show, but my uncle recommended it and my cousin likes it as well, so I'll try and watch it.

What do you mean by a *properly* run RPG?

Jumping through time sounds like fun. The trouble I'll be causing... :superevil:

Darmort - July 15, 2008 09:22 PM (GMT)
Marshmallow, if you want in on the Magic MSN game add me.
