4. 1 of 3 games James Bond - Agent underfire, Mechwarior 3 or Splinter Cell (all versions must not be later released budget versions!

5. Something like flash FXP or Cuteftp

once downloaded open up the file and look at the pdf guide for further instructions depending on which game exploit you are gonna use!

i used splinter cell / pal version cost me 3.99 from game so it's better to buy than rent! also remeber to copy only the game u get save as well as linux patch.

in short you copy save game and linux exploit to your modded xbox, then reboot to ms default dash, copy over the save game and linux exploit to mem card 1! switch the leads to "un-modded" xbox as well as controller and mem card 1 power up then boot your game on "un-modded" xbox, goto load game and run linux savegame and then press start button again!

now you will see unleash X follow on screen prompts of course observing backup of eeprom and ms original dash! *these are critical* then install softmod and your good to go no fucking around with all these half a million hald assed guides on the net!

Ps tested and WORKING for me on 3 xbox's! Please note i switched to a higher version of the file 4.25 compared to 2.5 cause that gave me shit on one xbox (with a region 1 dvd film) and also it had a cruddy old version of evox!

this later version also allows u to return xbox to factory default so you can even play live on it tho i havent tested this feature and i am not likely to! also i never said it works with hacked or copied games!

also note if you plan at all to upgrade the hd you MUST unlock the old drive you are taking out and any new one you put in it's place upto 120gig! Again untested on Softmod!

i know no ones replied to this it's a bit of an old topic really!

however can i ask anyone a favour GAME are selling xbox's for 39.95 yes they are used but i know a few people who want then (now i've cracked the softmod!) anyway what i am asking is if your in you local arndale center etc whatever it may be called if they have a GAME shop can you check if they have any of the 39 quid xbox's and if they do will they branch transfer cause my local lancaster one is out of standard original xbox's! (i know they did this with atari jaguar's a few years back)

on the GAME internet site it says they are out of stock but at the price i am not suprised!

it's a damn powerfull games console / media center for 40 quid and deffo worth that kinda money with a softmod/ftp acces and a pc with movies at the other end!

you even get a controller too even if it is the big fat old fucker that no one liked ;)

ASDA was throwing out PS2's a few weeks ago for under £50!

i just dont have an asda anywhere close :(

@zetro yeah m8 heard about that after the event, however it was only a 1 day promo for thrusday of that week it was xbox's and ps2's NEW for 50 notes missed it tho :(

also to everyone else call off the search my m8's gonna pay an extra 10er and get an xbox from gamestation no guarantee tho so not as good deal as Game one!
