Truly amazing. Although I prefer the old school Amiga demos, this one is really nice.

DaZZaBoY - September 24, 2007 06:31 PM (GMT)
I don't know what it is with Farbrausch demos but as stunningly, gorgeous as they are, they aren't really 'demo-ey' to me? Personally, I think they look more like game intros and have over use of 3D textures instead of the more common or garden effects. I've also noticed the soundtracks from the last few prods have been majorly dead pan! More thumping soundtracks PLEASE!!

/moaning twat mode OFF :)

A very effective demo in a tiny filesize, so would obviously be a winner with scene diehards. I'd have to check out the competition it was up against before passing judgement on it winning 1st place though.

@Flush: if you want to check out some other sweet stuff, look no further than any prod from MFX/Kewlers, such as 1995 or the BP2005 invitro (now they roXXor!)

Flushentity - September 26, 2007 06:13 PM (GMT)
Wow.. Never heard of these guys but the 1995 demo is awesome. Just looking for the BP2005 demo now - Thanks for the heads up on the new demo scene.

The MFX/Kewlers collaboration was something that only happened now and again but most things they produced were class!

Here's the BP2k5 invitro if you haven't found it -

This has gotta be my fave production in the last few years and it's better than most demos I've seen! Pumping oldskool track, loads of strobe and lush effects, fuck I love it. :)

Some awesome demo`s suggested there, i have seen them all now. I think that the UF 100-0-11-111 was my personal fav, but the rest are also right up there. Anyone else care to suggest there fav demo`s??

@Flush:

Just came across this old demo that I used to love in the day:

Ideally needs to be run via WinUAE for full effect but for a second hand viewing try HeRe. Check the vortex effect about 48 secs in, this looked fuckin' amazing on a Microvitec 1438s monitor! (anyone remember those?) :D

I downloaded this and AVG said that it contains a virus and deleted it. Is it a PC exe?

Kei

This is what is said:
Virus found Win32/NSAnti
C:\fr-041_debris.exe
Moved object
Infected

@kei deffo no Expert but i'd say it's one of those False possitives you get with such things as trainers / cracks etc.

Last time i ran that i had no problem with it (kaspersky NIS/AV)

AVG Is the WORST virus software for false positives I have ever come across.

Yes it is a good virus killer. but the amount of false stuff it coughs up is ridiculous.

Nearly all keygens or crackz are trojans to AVG.

Ok I know a lot of crackz change things to ensure that the program being cracked works.

But AVG identifies legitimate demos and software has been infected too

I use Kaspersky.

and just 2 make sure these come in usefull too. . .

I can agree that AVG does throw the odd wobbler with demos/cracks etc and during a recent scan, the damn thing has kicked most of my old oS-uK demos! Good job I've got 'em backed up for posterity.

I'm running the latest AVG with Vista and the low overheads make it more of a good prog than a bad one.

@Kei: the download 'should' be an archive but AVG will still chuck a paddy when it finds the exe.
