Okay fellas. I aint usually one to brag about Games, but I've always had "Thing" about 1st person Shooters. So much so, dare I say "Half Life" actually made me buy a "Pee Cee" & of course it had to be the best & fastest available for Maximum FPS. H-L led on to Counter Strike which absolutely Rocked back in the CS Beta 5.2 days. Since then, it's been utter bull shit but thats another story!
Weekends back in those Glorious HL & CS Beta5.2 days resulted in the odd bash at Team Fortess once in a while. TF2 was rumoured about 7 years ago & its finally got here. Despite all Steam Based games completely Sucking thesedays when it comes to On-line Bullet REG, this will probably be just as bad as it will employ VALVe's Bull Shit Net-Code & Player Slot Handicapping. Ornage Box - TF2

It all looks rather cool & I love the "Cartoony" approach. The sounds/effects for weapons are as the Original but greatly enhanced. They've even kept all the Original Characters in there too.

I guess the Music in the movies kinda makes it all & the 2nd Movie on the 2nd link had me in fucking stitches! :lol:

it looks rather good for FPS i saw a trailer for this on GT (Game Trailers.com) looks like they put back something that the FPS community forgot a Long time ago!

Theres something wholesome about 24 people in two teams going head to head on one of the smallest maps you can find.... oh... its carnage.... the screams.... the insults.... even the physical threats of violation and still the carnage continues...

so much so.... i tihnk i have heard ALL the "exscuse's" under the sun...

so i believe i will compile a little list here,

1. My "mouse / keyboard / controller" is not working properly

• It works for you at home right?
• Its working okay when i use it m8...
• wanna use my rig and I use this one ?
  After my m8 Beast42 took me up on that offer and sufferd a 10 : 0 trouncing
  every one seems to back down as *get on with it* after i mention it (bah pussies!).

2. Its lag m8, i put 2 clips into his head and he's still alive....

• 1. your a crap shot and you couldnt hit with 4 clips let alone 2
• 2. there are such things as megahealth and shields..
• 3. did you see 'em pickup health packs

3. Will you all stop shooting me in the back!!! its not fair!!!

• 1. I dont know about fair , but there is a gun in the front
• 2. well your ass does represent a perfect target
• 3. you will find that moving arround will reduce that happenstance

Team Killing is indeed the worse sin you can do... there is no exscuse, none!
but some still attempt to do so.

  Indeed, but i draw the line at the 4th time... if you throw them like a 2 year old, expect to be banned from using them in the team
  (this got so bad once, that my m8 "wheely" managed to kill half of his team using a "non-leathal" force bean bag launcher on "SWAT4:stechkov syndicate"... hence after being band from both leathal and non-leathal methods.. he was only allowed to cap them (with the wristcufs).

I think by and large I have heard most of the exscuses the Whingy Whinning Gammer can come up with.... in some ways i take pitty on them.... for they will always be the fodder to my cannon... there is only one way to improve... and it takes both time / patience and ofcourse.... talent :) (not no imput devices and stupidly hi-res mousy a good gliding 800 dpi mousy is more that really needed, although I love the glide to my GX7 2400dpi mousy... but i have that set to 800 for fps play... i like it a little more responsive when playing RTS and lump it upto 1200

I do have an FPS practice tip... and this has help EVERYONE whoms tried it... i do so hope that you do.. this is also how i "warmup" a day before a LAN as i dont get to play FPS all that anymore.

Find an Unreal Tornament installed on a computer (1/2 it dont matter)

now create a random map game with the (insta-jib) mod added to it... crank the kills to unlimmited and put a 10 minute timmer on.... Oh and put the BOTS on insane...

now play....

understand this.... you will DIE... (LOTS) you will be spawn killed atleast a dozen times.... but its 1 shot and one kill.... this will help reduce you "Zero-ing" times *the time taking to get a lead on a target* this will also help you anticipate you opponent....

theres no mallice the computer will show you its just running program... so turn your frustration into play.. understand that there is a tactical method of death, a whom you die to compaired to how-often. a lot of people dont use the "duck" method, its good that you try this duck / jump alternation this will make you next to impossible to hit if you can pull it off.... (you will look like a monkey on cocaine+acid however)

Yeah Daz...it's suppose to be out in October sometime. I aint sure the in-game graphics are gunno look quite like this tho, which is a damn shame if so!

Still, game play will make it. I remember playing Half Life Multiplayer on a Lan for the first time. Being a complete Newbie with an FPS PC (& 10 years ago ffs) the general Idea was to run round, pick up anything you could lay your hands on & use it to Blow anyones head clean off. Headshots really counted.
I remember seeing this thing on the floor & running over it but not being able to pick it up. Turn around, run over it again...WTF?....still no pick-up!! Try again...shit someone else runs in the room blasting his shotgun, I'm skipping around like a Paraplegic on LSD getting my Shotty off....then....KaBOOOOOOM! One enormous explosion later we are both dead. Very strange & then a couple of hours later whilst passing me m8s bedroom on a trip back to my seat from the Bog, he's in there with about 4 other people all laughing their socks off at the "Explosive Packs" & the Newbies. Bastards!....but Sooooo funny all the same. I remember another guy going around depositing the Trip-wire packs, which had an electric blue trip wire. He use to put them in areas where the blue line matched in with the background texture. I remember meets like this as "Tatical Discussions", then after a coffee & fag, back to the Shotgun mayhem. Fucking hillarious. :lol:

Despite Counter Stike Source sucking, there is nothing quite as satisfying as chucking a HE (Grenade) & see them go sailing thro' the Air. Especially when ur online doing it with a good friend. The Spunkster & I were Whoring it up on a server running the map CS Assault. We were Counter Terrorists. We were both being accused of cheating by several players & desperately were trying to convince them we were Top UK Clan Players & were NOT cheating. ECSF, H&D, SLDR, KMA etc. We use to do the "I" series at Newbury Race Course & gave up after I7 cos the game had become such bullshit.

Anyways, one bloke was bitching real bad & at the start of the round, Spunkster takes the back door & I go in the front door. After popping a couple of flashbangs in, I'm watching the screen seeing Spunkster do 2 in the back door, only then to get fucked by a Headshot from the twat bitching at us. Thing was, I knew there was someone behind this crate at the back of the building & as Spunkster went down, I was lobbing a Grenade (HE). It landed, went off with an enormous Echoing BANG, killing the bitching twat in a split second & blowing him in a gracefull arc towards the door at the front of the building. He flew for what seemed like fucking ages, ....I'm crying like a baby & the phone rings with Jon (Spunkster) just shrieking with laughter. In all the years I have known this guy, I have never heard him laugh so uncontrollably ever! I'm almost crying now writing this......Just one of those moments that you could never ever forget. So Damn funny! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Haha... Been far to long since I was able to visit a decent lan... Counterstrike in the beginning was utterly amazing, but I think its poo now.... TF2 does look good though!

The first FPS i played was on a PC ( DOOM ) - This was rather crap on a 75Mhz 8Mb Ram system hehe this was years ago, just when Atari released the Jaguar!! I brought one mainly because of DOOM, it ran so well on it - To Many l8 nights on that. However i played CS during the Beta stages and into the final, now play CSS, but well loooking 4ward to team fortress as i loved the 1st 1 beyond all belief. I will b gettin this as soon as its released!! Hats of to Valve once more

At least with this game, if you have fuck all Reg, you can be an Engineer & build Mini Gun Turrets, or run round like a twat with a rocket up ur Ass as the Scout.
