I noticed that in the Character Plots subforum, there was a pinned topic with ideas for plots. So I thought maybe we could have a kind of statistic on what plots are being played out by other members/characters of the board. Of course, I could definitely see a million and one reasons not to do this, such as it discouraging someone from playing a plot that they really like, and extreme difficulty to maintain, but I just think I'll throw it out there in case it could be made awesome.
From what I've played with Riqu, a now temporarily "homeless" 15 year old girl, running away from her horrid mother, with hardly any cash on her, I've already gotten a sense of "Oh My Gosh, has this been overdone?" This happened when Diggs' character, Jim, got angry at the number of people who go to the end don't have enough money to stay. (No need to feel bad or anything, Diggs!)
So I thought, it might be kind of cool to have like, a little tally chart or whatnot right up there with the character plots to give members a chance to see what's over-used, or what will be a new plain. It also may encourage people to become involved in someone else's plot rather than make a whole new one on their own.
It doesn't have to be something that says "There's already 20 other characters just like yours, so don't even paste that profile skeleton," but more something that says "Go ahead and do that, but don't expect your character not to remind others of someone else."
Make any sense whatsoever?
