RP Thread Listing
+ tips
Sometimes, for whatever reason, it can prove to be quite difficult to actually get people to join your open threads! Of course, there are usually multiple reasons as to why your thread is just sitting there, so here are a few little tips to getting started and role-playing.
Tip #1! Did you know that you don't
have to create your own, special, open thread? Sometimes everyone has the same idea in mind --- to create a new thread! Before you start your own thread, why not take a look around the IC RP areas to see just how many open threads there are already?
Tip #2! If there happens to be a few open threads as of late, why not forfeit your own idea for an open thread and instead help both you and another member by
replying in their thread? It's a great way to secure an RP of your own, and you won't have to worry about waiting around, seeing if anyone is going to join your thread!
Tip #3 If you have your own open thread, it would be a really
good idea to advertise it! Did you know we have multiple places to advertise your need and/or want to role play? I would advise posting in this RP Thread Listing with a link to your thread, and then wait a day to see if anyone replies. Afterward, let people know further by simply posting in the
Recruitment Office asking for a role play! A lot of times your thread can be quickly
hidden underneath all the other Active Topics of the day, and so people will miss your open thread. Therefore it's always a great idea to advertise!
Tip #4 Be one of the people you are looking for as well (a replier, rather than a starter). It's important to contribute both ways, you know! To even everything out. If you want to role play, keep an eye out for people posting here, in this Thread Listing and also in the
Recruitment Office. And, well, reply to them, lol!
