I thought it would be a really nice idea to pin a topic like this up, where anyone on the board can reply and just list all sorts of different ideas that have ever popped into their head. I think it would be a great place to look for anyone lacking inspiration for plot ideas, especially if a lot of people randomly throw ideas in that pop into their head.
It can be big plot ideas or small plot ideas. Friendship plots, Romantic plots. Sickness plots. Betrayal plots. I know people get ideas in their head all of the time, maybe from a book or a movie, or something that's happened to them or someone they know in real life. But you can't use every plot that pops into your head. Hey, but it can always be helpful to someone else! (:
So go ahead and post them here!
ROMANTIC PLOTS- An arranged marriage.
- Rich man/woman falls for a poor man/woman.
FRIENDSHIP PLOTSTRAGEDY PLOTS- A marriage/relationship that goes horribly wrong. (i.e: abuse, cheating)
- After a good amount of years (ex: 10), a missing child thought to be dead is found and returned to his/her parents.
SICKNESS PLOTS- Someone has the sickness where they can't feel pain.
- After so much pressure from peers/friends/family/&or boyfriend, a young woman becomes obsessed with her figure and begins to show signs of anorexia.
- Man/Woman has an illness that leaves them only with a handful of years left before the illness takes full control and they must leave this world.
- Man/Woman has a serious alcohol-addiction problem. To the point where they are almost never sober and always have a drink handy.
OTHER PLOTS- A teen runs away from their abusive step father in search of their real father.
- An Amish young man/woman who leaves the church and is banished from their home/family.
- A man/woman who loses their loved spouse and children in a horrible accident and is trying to cope.
- A man/woman is obsessed with ghosts after an encounter with one.
- A man/woman is a thief who wishes to right their ways...but finds it hard to do so.

Friendship/Romance Plot
-Two best friends end up falling in love with the same person, and it causes a rift depending on their personalities

ROMANCE PLOTS - A person arrives on the island in search/pursuit of their childhood love.
- An intense rivalry eventually becomes a relationship.
- A younger person (over 16 at least) and someone older than them (10+ years) get into a relationship.
FAMILY PLOTS - A couple is moving towards a divorce, and their young child is caught in the middle.
- A broken family attempts to come together again.
MISC. PLOTS - A group of teenagers start a band in hopes of finding fame and fortune one day.
- After an accident, a person permenantly loses their sight/hearing and must cope and adapt.
