For certain holidays like public event ones couldn't a temporary sub-forum be made? My example would be Beach Day. To me it seems easier to keep track of rps and to easily allow other rps as well. Instead of having multiple rps going on in one thread. More people might want to rp for that holiday if it's easier to keep track of and more organized. Then when the season changes the sub-forum just gets taken down or archived.

We do that already for several festivals, I was thinking about doing that for the Renaissance Fair, the Tourmaline Fair also is a separate subforum. I can't speak for Marie and Alma, but I don't think Beach Day should be a separate subforum.

To make things easier we have tags, and we don't want to clutter the board index with too many sub forums. We still have a subforum open from Spring, and people don't necessarily finish their topics in time for the end of the season. >w<

Basically we do use that idea for some cases, but with things like Beach Day we prefer to use tags and honestly I've never felt it terribly disorganised.

Ammy, I totes agree with making the Ren Fair a subforum since it's open for several days instead of just one. 8B Just letting you know you weren't alone.

But yes, the Beach Day will stay one thread, as will the majority of the other ones. Just makes it easier for the staff, among others.
