Hair: Black, not quite neck length. Bangs will occasionally get in Will’s face, much to his chagrin. He keeps it washed and conditioned, but Will typically doesn’t do too much to style it other than getting rid of the occasional cowlick. No sense in going through too much of an effort to do anything with his hair when the wind will probably mess it up again anyways, right?

Eyes: Borderline between pale brown and pale gray. Will isn’t really too sure how exactly his different eye color came around and used to be self conscious about it in his younger days, leading him into the habit of wearing sunglasses fairly often. As he’s grown, Will has come to accept and even like his unique eye color and wears the shades less often than he had in the past.

Face: Best way to describe the shape would be an upside down egg. A grin is usually plastered on it a good majority of the time as well. Facial hair usually isn’t present, though a five o’clock shadow isn’t uncommon to see on Will either.

Body: Standing at 5’10” and weighing in at 162 pounds, Will isn’t fat or thin. Not overly muscular or plain, just average. The only mar on his body is a scar on his right shoulder from an accident in his childhood.

Childhood: Childhood for Will wasn’t terrible by any means. Born the middle child to a businessman and a fashion model, Will had plenty of advantages growing up. Clothes, toys, video games, lavish vacations…the works, more or less, which unfortunately had the side effect of causing Will to be a bit on the arrogant and selfish side. One of the things the Fortune family would do in Will’s youth was summer fishing trips in Obsidian. Staying with Will’s grandfather for the season, the family grew to enjoy their summer retreats. The trips came to an abrupt end, however, when Will nearly lost his life in a riding accident. His grandfather’s horse got spooked while Will was riding, throwing him hard to the ground and causing him to smash into a fence. Will’s right shoulder was gashed up pretty bad and he wound up in a coma for about three weeks.

Will eventually recovered from his ordeal, but unfortunately, it caused a rift between his parents and grandfather with his parents blaming Will’s grandfather for the accident. When he did wake up, it had a profound effect on the rest of Will’s life. Grateful to be alive and seeing how bitter and unfair his parents were towards his grandfather, Will made a vow to be kind to people and to not take life for granted, living each day to it’s fullest.

Adolesence: Will’s teenage years didn’t quite go as smoothly as his diaper days though. Becoming more and more focused on their work caused his parents to become less and less attentive. Thankfully, Will’s older brother did a good job of watching over Will and little sister Jill as they grew up. It was during this time that Will developed a passion for music, originally at the suggestion of his brother to try to find a hobby he enjoyed. Taking to mimicking songs on the radio, Will was able to gradually start honing his skills, both with the guitar and vocally. Will’s grandfather in Obsidian also passed during this time, leading Will to focus deeper on developing his musical aptitude as a means of coping, allowing him to become rather good in a fairly short amount of time.

Adulthood: Once Will turned 18 and graduated from high school, parents still mostly absent, he suggested to his older brother that he watch over Jill until she grew up and graduated herself, wanting him to be able to live his own life. After arguing on and off over the subject for about four months, Will’s brother finally agreed, albeit quite hesitantly, setting off to follow his own dreams. During this time, Will developed a bit of a knack for cooking, taking what he learned from his brother and building on that. Partially due to cooking being an important skill to learn, but mainly due to the fact that him and Jill could avoid having to eat take out every night. Honing his musical skills, Will started playing public gigs to supplement his own income, gaining a small following in the process. As he did this though, Will began to feel a sense of unease and restlessness. Thinking back to his childhood, Will realized that the times that he was the happiest were when him and the rest of his family vacationed in Obsidian. His mind made up, Will opted to make his return to the small village after Jill graduated. What he wasn’t expecting though was Jill wanting to go with him as well. Echoing a similar argument that Will had with his older brother a few years before, the young man finally caves in to his younger sibling, agreeing to let her come along. And thus begins the journey of the Fortune children…



Personality: If one word can describe Will, “charismatic” would most certainly be it. Always cheerful and upbeat, Will usually doesn’t have a problem making friends wherever he goes. Unfortunately, this can also be seen as a bit of a drawback for Will as well, as there is a very fine line between overly cheerful and sheer idiocy for some people. There are times when he is a little more on the quiet and reserved side, typically when he is trying to be more serious or is nervous about something, but for the majority of time, life isn’t exactly the quietest if Will is in the general vicinity. Adopting the idea that every person has some good in them, Will tends to give everybody the benefit of the doubt as well. Will sees cold and reserved people as a challenge of sorts, hoping that he can help them open up. Thankfully, Will does have the common sense to drop a conversation if it appears that said cold and reserved person may be about ready to punch his ticket due to him being overly cheery.

Strengths:
+Charismatic: Will’s upbeat attitude has made him into quite the little charmer. Talking to people is never an issue for Will, unless the person on the other side of the conversation is just trying to make trouble intentionally. Needless to say, friends tend to come easy for him…most of the time, anyways.
+Music: Something that Will has participated in some aspect for the vast majority of his life, whether it be singing or guitar, electric and acoustic. And it shows, as he has gotten pretty decent at it if he does say so himself.
+Cooking: Keeping an eye on his younger sister as she grew up forced Will to adapt to be able to do certain things, cooking being one of them. Not a five star caliber chef by any means, but Will has gotten good enough where most of his creations can be considered not only edible, but actually quite tasty as well.

-Naïve: Will’s cheerful personality and seemingly undying optimism is able to help him make a lot of friends, yes, but there is one drawback to it. Will is overly trusting, always hoping to see the good in everybody, even those who would take advantage of him. Something that has landed him in trouble more than once.
-Working With Tools: Hey, do you need something on your land cleared? Maybe someone to help you fix something around the house? Well, if you ask Will…odds are, he’s going to be making it worse. Will’s hands are as bad at using tools as they are good at plucking guitar strings.
