First off, Spelling:
Firepower: Ahh... if your spending on Fire Magic make sure you raise this to a pretty high level ... That just nags at me, shoud be "you're," not "your." Heart of Ice: Most useless skills; this has about 1/100 chance of freezing your opponent. The only reason you should be using this is to get to the other skills. It only prevents normal attacks meaning even if you actually freeze your opponent they will only be prevented from their normal attacks. Remember what I said: Enemies at the later game mostly use magic attacks. ------------ Prepare to be shot. I'm sorry, but this one just ticks me off. I know out of experience that that figure is way off. Phrasing of: Glacier Strike: This is pretty cool attack, but watch out! You must charge this attack three times before you use the attack. Could use some rewording Absorption: A castable skill that allows you to create a shield which will absorb a normal attack to heal you. It will absorb an attack once in 5 turns after it’s cast. However, Evasion makes it harder for this to work --------- I'm fairly sure that last sentence isn't true. Field Medic: Need some more hp when you’re battling? Well then, get this skill for the whole battle! This can heal you a little every turn. -------- Not every turn, buddy Nutshell: Could use some work, but overall the best of the skill guides. "you probably can't see much difference."
You can't "see" the difference with Velm's Group Shielding in NQII but you know it's there, too. I notice there's no introduction to NQI skills. It just goes straight to the specific trees. "It’s bad." ...biased much? "this has about 1/100 chance of freezing your opponent" What? Though I do agree about enemies using a lot of magic later in the game. "You must charge this attack three times before you use the attack." This isn't really correct. Firstly, it implies that you spend 4 rounds with the GS; secondly, they don't say anything about how you can cast Fire Ball/Snow Ball/Absorption in the second round. " it’s hard to see" Doesn't mean it's bad. (This is Disable) "but I can’t see much difference." From Spectral Weapons; see my previous comment. "However, you might not want to use Wall of Flame with this skill" This is like saying you shouldn't get fire insurance if you use oven mitts. "you get a fraction of it added to your hp!" They don't mention how it's random. |

About Spectral Weapons: I believe it's the only skill (besides Fortitude, but it's similar) that you can't see it work. However, I'm doing a max Spectral game and I notice how much less damage I'm taking.

Oh, and Absorption absorbs the FIRST PHYSICAL ATTACK. No questions asked. When Absorption is cast, Reflex, Evasion, and any armour abilities that negate/heal when damaged are disabled until you are healed by Absorption or the 5 turns run out.

Yes, because it says that "Evasion makes it harder to work." Absolutely not.

Right, that. I forget the errors in some guides. I just know that they're wrong.

I don't want to disturb your conversation, but I prefer to have a great part of Shock Magic, some part for Life Magic, and a little part for Spectral Magic. I prefer to have the following skills in level 50:
Skill ( Skill Points ) Shock Magic Shock Weapons ( 7 ) Disable ( 7 ) Fortitude ( 7 ) Shockwave ( 7 ) Life Magic Life Weapons ( 6 ) Field Medic ( 5 ) Lifesteal ( 5 ) Spectral Magic Spectral Weapons ( 3 ) Evasion ( 3 ) Absorption ( 3 ) Reflex ( 3 ) Hope you liked it! |

You seem intelligent, why don't you write a guide?

Um, those are identical to a guide on Digifort. And the asterisks before your NPC descriptions in another topic make it seem like you copied and pasted them. o.o
