This is sad.
My son had to operate on an 8 yr. old girl who crashed a Jr. Dragster. Seems she was strapped in 'fairly' but had an adult's helmet on which had a 'free weight' effect on her fragile spine. I think she lost control and hit a wall. She has a cervical spine break because of a helmet that allowed energy to be transferred to her spine by being too loose. It breaks your heart ya' know. For safety for yourself or for someone who cares about you NEVER use ill fitting helmets or skimp on anything safety related - - there are things worse than death like paralysis at 8. Keep the shiny side up and keep hitting those shift points!! 'dog |
