Title: Within the Forest Temple

NasiDe - February 20, 2012 04:51 PM (GMT)
The first floor of the Forest Temple provides a subtle entryway and introduction into the setting of the sacred structure. Though much of the temple was once entirely a stone structure, time has granted nature to take its course and the trunk of the tree that enshrouds the temple has molded into the building, leaving most of it wooden and only fractions of the stone remains present. From time to time, great winds blow through hollows in the tree that leave some wooden structures constantly shifting.

At the center of the first floor is a strange mechanism that still manages to take one to the remains of the temple's basement. In spite of the presence of only a single official basement in the stone structure, numerous passageways lead through the trunk of the tree that lead to newly created basements that could possibly delve to the very bottom of the trunk, though traversing them is dangerous in that they are so deeply interwoven into the tree that they seem to be a labyrinth of countless wooden caverns.

Several staircases found near the rear of the temple lead to the temple's second floor. Along these staircases, it is possible to find numerous paintings- some preserved, while others were brought to tatters -hinting at the temple's earlier form. Other rooms at the very rear of the temple beyond the staircases are much more spacious and are filled with plant and animal life. The stone of the earlier temple appears to be the most preserved here as these rooms appear almost fully intact, with even a well present in them still fully functional.

Present throughout various areas in the wooded temple are commonly monkeys, Skulltulas, Skullwalltulas, Bomblings, Deku Likes, Keese, ChuChus, and various Deku Babas. Although they appear rarely, the old guardians of the temple can also be found in the Undead form of Bubbles and Stalfos. However, as of recently, other forest creatures, such as Wolfos and Mothulas, are present in the temple. Signs of other mysterious and foreign creatures are also present as noted by unusual large clouds of purple, poisonous smoke, newly constructed structures, and signs of heavy-weighted entities leaving large indents in the wooden floor.

*From the Sacred Forest Meadow*
As Justin arrived in the temple, Zelda's spirit quickly floated after him. Once they were in, she took a moment to pause an look around. "So this is the Forest Temple... Do you think you're ready to handle whatever is in here, Justin," she asked, turning in midair to face the youth.

DornKoon - February 22, 2012 09:47 PM (GMT)

Justin slowly walked into the first room, so...this was the forest temple? It was a lot different...or maybe it was not... he could not say for sure, mainly because he never really imagined what the inside of the temle would actually look like. But before he had time to really take in everything the spirit of the princess began to talk, his attention moved to the girl floating in the air. He scratched himself on the cheek and gave the temple another glance before he replied to the question.

"No idea, it is hard to say for sure without knowing what enemy I will be up against. But I never make a habit to think to much into what might be."

He smiled and looked back at the princess of Hyrule.

"I have always been thinking that people think to much on all the horrible things that might happen...and they forget to think about the good things that might actually happen."

NasiDe - February 22, 2012 10:12 PM (GMT)
The Spirit Maiden gazed at Justin for a moment. Then she smiled as well. "Well, I suppose spur of the moment works sometimes too," she agreed, floating forwards through the temple. She paused as the narrow entryway to the temple opened up outwards, revealing the innards of the temple. "Oh my word... This looks horrible! Come here," she called, beckoning to the youth. Spread across the room in various locations were thick patches of billowing purple smoke. "That surely cannot be natural."

The princess's spirit looked about the room, floating to various locations about the room before heading back to the entrance. She shook her head. "No good. I couldn't see anything that might possibly be a power source for the Spirit Tracks and I can't see through that smoke very well. The only things I could find were several spiders. Maybe we should check the next room?" She indicated the doorway at the other end of the room. It was nearly covered by the smoke, but it fell just short of the door, leaving the path clear.

DornKoon - February 28, 2012 04:54 PM (GMT)
Justin did not really understand much about magic or thing in such an area, but he could very much agree with the princess that the smoke seen was far from natural. The scent inside the temple was not making things better, no it was bad and something in here was really out of place.

"No offense to the goddess person we meet, but she really could have given more information."

His comment was not without a point, the woman from the temple did not tell them exactly what to find or...well how to search for them. Justin's eyes slowly glanced around the room, not sure where to go. So he tried to smell the air, listen...well just find anything that might give him a hint where to go next.

NasiDe - March 7, 2012 05:04 AM (GMT)
Zelda regarded what Justin said for several moments, but made no comment aloud upon it. She shut her eyes for several moments before speaking. "I can feel traces of a sacred energy coming from somewhere above us," she said to the youth at last. "There are also several strange auras somewhere ahead. Something about them is really familiar to me..." Another faint, but just as foul smell could be determined as originating somewhere behind the door at the other end of the room that the spirit had indicated earlier.

DornKoon - March 15, 2012 09:39 PM (GMT)
Justin listened to the princess, the yought examined her with the head slightly tilted to the side. He...really did not understand much about what she just talked about. He was not familiar with the term sacred energy. But it did sound important...

"Well I cannot say I feel anything, but I can smell something coming from the door over there.."

He casually pointed out towards the door. Before the princess could comment more Justin walked over to open it, he was not sure what might be hidden behind. But now was not really the time to be worried about things like that. They did not know what they where looking for and just standing here was not going to make much difference.

"It does not smell very nice in the least...just...weird."

NasiDe - March 19, 2012 09:43 PM (GMT)
Zelda floated after Justin as he opened the door. On the other side rested a plain circular room. There were several patches of purple smoke along the edges of the room, which had walls built of bricks, though tree branches broke through the stone in several places. At the center of the room floated a glowing object shaped like a tear with yellow designs on it.

Zelda gasped at the sight of the object. "Is that-? Justin go grab that object! It looks a lot like the Tears of Light I once heard about. Supposedly, they're manifestations of pieces of a Light Spirit's Life Force. That one alone won't do much, but I think that if enough are bound to your sword, it should grow attuned to the power and become extra effective against evil beings." She floated into the room towards the Tear of Light.

When she did so, there were two purple puffs of smoke at the edges of the room. When they faded away, two hulking figures in red armor with shields and massive golden swords appeared.

DornKoon - March 19, 2012 09:55 PM (GMT)
Justin examined the room as he entered, but he was careful enough not to just walk out into an unknown room. For all he knew there could be traps, best was to scan and see what he could get from here. His attention was drown to the area of the room with the glowing tear...it looked important even before the princess talked about what it might be, not that her words made him really understand. But if there was more of these things, where could he find them?

"Hmm...that...sounds useful"

He was just about to walk further into the room when the two armored creatures appear. Justin's eyes quickly darted between the two of them.

"What about those guys then? I do not think they are of the friendly kind"

NasiDe - March 19, 2012 10:12 PM (GMT)
The spirit glanced about at the Phantoms. "Them? They shouldn't be any trouble. I'm not sure. They look familiar, but I'm not quite sure where from. Come-" She fell silent as the two armored forms suddenly tensed and looked directly at Justin. "Justin..." she began cautiously.

Suddenly two ringing voices roared from the figures: "HALT!" and "WHO GOES THERE?" Without waiting for a response, the two suits of armor raised their swords and began running towards Justin with an unnatural speed.

From the center of the room, Zelda shouted, "Justin, run over here! Quickly!"

DornKoon - March 19, 2012 10:30 PM (GMT)
Well she might be right. Justin was not scared of much, least of all two armored thingies...they did not even have claws, no his fears was in a very different area. But...it seemed like the princess might be off when she claimed the armors to not be trouble. After all the fact that they pulled their weapons and ran for him was a clear sign of trouble...

Justin quickly pulled out his blade and dasked across the floor, swiftly dodging the enemies blades before they could land a hit. He came to a halt close to the princess and the tear, turning around to face the two armored opponents.

"I thought princess learned to red stories...because large black armors appearing from nowhere...usually is a bad sign in most heroe's adventure"

He commented and shifted his grip around the blade a few times.

NasiDe - March 19, 2012 11:07 PM (GMT)
The two armored forms slashed at Justin as he passed by, their massive swords missing him by inches. "STOP," they shouted as he dashed past them to Zelda. As the youth neared the Tear of Light, it shined brightly for a moment before dematerializing and fading away into Justin's sword, leaving the hilt glowing for several moments before returning to normal.

Almost as soon as Green arrived beside Zelda, the ground shook and suddenly a platform of the ground on which Justin stood rose, ascending towards the ceiling. The platform fit snugly into the a gaping hole in the ceiling, whereupon they arrived in a new room. It looked similar to the other one and also had some clouds of smoke along the edges of the room, but the doorway was at the other side of the room.

In addition to this, there were several small creatures hanging from the wood of the tree parts that stabbed into the room similarly to monkeys... But they were clearly not monkeys as they appeared to be using metallic attachments to their feet to hang from the wood. These red-skinned creatures seemed to be the source of the bad smell. At the sound of the elevating platform arriving in the room, the creatures turned, quivers hanging over their backs.

At the sight of the one intruder, babbling in a strange, tribal language rose forth between the creatures. Then the nearest one scratched his mane, and pointed at the youth with a dry look.

More babbling came from the creatures and the lead creature rose its hand up to its head, placing its palm flat against one of its horns as if the gesture would be offensive to Justin. With that, the eight Primahblin took up their bows from over the backs and, hanging by the wood only with their metal instruments, aimed arrows at him.

DornKoon - March 20, 2012 07:08 AM (GMT)
Justin was very surprised when the tear disappeared into his sword, a lot of things seemed to make a habit to go into things he owned or him lately. The yought was just about to comment on the situation when suddenly the center of the room began to rise up into the air, leaving the two armored creatures behind. Oh...he was sure he could have taken them on...

As they arrived to the new area it was not hard for Justin to detect the weird smell he felt earlier. So this was the source, some weird red...things. The young hero shot a glance around the room and did his best to see if he could detect all of the creatures. He really did not understand their language and neither did he get what could be so offensive about holding a hand against a horn, so he did not think much on the gesture.

"I sadly do not understand what your saying. Also it is very rude to aim weapons at someone that might not be an enemy, or do I have a sign marked enemy on my somewhere?"

NasiDe - March 21, 2012 02:56 AM (GMT)
Zelda looked around the new room they were in, looking at the creatures. She could feel a shadowy aura about them. "Justin, I think that they're-" Before she could say another word, eight arrows flew across the room towards Justin. The projectiles along with more incoherent babbling were apparently the Primahblins' response.

"Demons." She floated across the room towards the only visible door, passing the Demons. They didn't seem to notice her presence. As she floated by the door, she noticed one of the monkey-like Demons open a pouch at its waist and dump its contents. From the bag, dropped a great many bugs of a golden-yellow color with four legs. Repulsed, she retreated closer to the door as the bugs darted about the room. Whatever these bugs were, they were not indigenous to the Light Realm.

DornKoon - March 21, 2012 08:41 AM (GMT)
Justin was not slow to react and he jumped to the side in order to avoid the arrows. Five of the eight arrows was way of and they did not even touch his clothes, two more losely scratched his clothes and the last one was the only one to give him a shallow rip in the skin when it passed, but it did not stick into his body...so the damage was not serious.

"You think so? Well I guess you know more about them then me, not seen very many demons."

The youngster quickly reached out and snatched one of the enemies arrows from the floor, at the same time he took the bow from his back and took quick aim. In all he was able to load and fire the arrow within a few seconds, he aimed for the leading monkey demon. Justin also noticed the bugs, but right now they where a distance away...shooting bugs with an arrow did not seem like such a small thing to do. It was a waste of good arrows.

NasiDe - March 21, 2012 03:42 PM (GMT)
The arrow Justin returned lodged itself right into the Primahblin chief. It froze in the middle of preparing another arrow and dropped to the ground near Zelda, leaving the princess wincing momentarily at the creature's death. Then the monkey demon burst apart into a small puff of red smoke that quickly vanished.

The other Demons stared at the place where their leader had fallen for several seconds. Then they let loose screeches. Three of the remaining seven Demons prepared arrows once more while the other four began to climb along the wood about the room for new spots to aim from. As the skirmish proceeded, several of the bugs crawled skittishly towards Justin.

DornKoon - March 22, 2012 08:27 AM (GMT)
Justin's hand quickly moved to the arrows and he checked with his hand how many he had left, there was ten arrows. He would have to be careful about using them all, chances was that he might find more in here...seeing that these guys must be getting their arrows from somewhere. But the boy knew well enough not to make a gamble out of it. Three of them was still in the same place and the other four was moving around the room. Well he just had to improvise a little...

"No, that is a really bad idea..."

The young hero reached out and picked up a rock from the ground, seeing how ruined this place was finding one was not hard. In a fluid motion he hurled the object, aiming towards the closest demon as it was about to put an arrow to it's bow. Justin also did his best to move away from the bugs for the time being. As long as he stayed in motion they could not easily catch onto him and a moving target was harder to hit with arrows.

NasiDe - March 26, 2012 07:03 PM (GMT)
The Primahblin near the door that Justin struck with a stone dropped its arrow to the ground and grasped its head, dazed. The other two prepared arrows again, and aimed to fire at him.

About the room, two of the monkey Demons stopped their movements on either side of Justin and began to prepare arrows. The other two Primahblin continued to move about the upper edge of the room, climbing towards the rear.

As Justin neared her once, Zelda motioned for him to open the door and move on, but the next moment, he was gone as several Vengas passed her a moment later. If they got out of the room and shut the Demons inside, the princess and youth wouldn't have to worry about those Demons. The bugs might be able to crawl after them and any other Demons in the temple were probably already alerted, but at least they would be away from those seven Primahblin.

DornKoon - March 26, 2012 09:47 PM (GMT)
With one of the enemies bazed it was the perfect opening to do some damage to the once working to put arrows to their bows. Justin quickly pulled out an arrow, took aim and fired towards the demon at his side and in a fluid motion he turned around and pulled another arrow at the same time. He took aim and fired. Within a few seconds he was able to fire two arrows right after each other towards the enemies, still working to avoid the bugs.

In all it was a perfect display that Justin had some impressive skills when it came to combat, even if he never had any military training. Then again, the forest was his training ground and the nature is teacher.

NasiDe - March 26, 2012 09:57 PM (GMT)
As the two Demons on either side of the room burst apart in to smoke, the other two Demons near the door finished aiming and fired their arrows. As they did so, the one Primahblin finished climbing to the back of the room and began to prepare an arrow.

Underneath the two monkey Demons near the entrance, Zelda frowned. After several moments, she determined that she had retained limited access to her magic. With that at her side, one of her hands ascended into the air and a stream of silvery light rose into the air, smiting the two Primahblin directly above her. When the Light Magic faded, only three Demons remained.

DornKoon - March 29, 2012 08:15 AM (GMT)
(( Justin did not attack the dazed enemy, he was shooting two arrows on the demons on each side of him. ^_^ ))

Justin really did not like when enemies was these cowardly. Just trying to take him out with numbers. Did they really think that such dishonest ways would be enough to take him out? The young hero quickly turned around to fire another arrow, this time towards the primahblin at the back of the room. He narrowly avoided the attack, but could feel the iron tip as it was scratching his shoulder, but thanks to his mothers magical cloak it was not able to fully penetrate. But...that might leave a nasty bruise.

NasiDe - March 31, 2012 01:23 AM (GMT)
The Demon burst apart into a puff of smoke, leaving only two Primahblin remaining, one of which was still stunned. The last Primahblin standing got more desperate. His companions had fallen, and the demon seemed determined on taking down the hero who did this. He drew his bowstring, aiming for Justin's legs so that the boy would be left vulnerable to be attacked by the Vengas, which seemed ready to assault the young man once he got close enough.

Zelda frowned very slightly at the bugs chasing Justin before. Something about them was very strange. The Demons were using them, but she could sense no Darkness deriving from them.

DornKoon - April 2, 2012 06:13 AM (GMT)
Thinking had never really been Justin's strongest attribut, in fact he had made a name to just follow his guts without making plans beforehand. So far it had always worked out, but right now it was looking like a good time to do some thinking. Much like Zelda he did notice something was different about the bugs, because the scent was not demonic around them. Insects in general just lived their lives and would not work organized like this, unless controlled or effected by something else.

Of course there was still the problem of the remaining enemies....well maybe that was not such a bad idea? Yes, if it worked he might have enough time to take out the enemies left in the room. The young hero quickly dashed forward, but this time he moved in towards the bugs rather then away from them. He used the mantle as a protection and snatched up one of the bugs, followed by a jump over the rest before they had the time to bite him. He did not plan to keep the insect...no it was going to go on an adventure of it's own.

Justin then tossed the Vengas with aim towards the demon holding the bow. Justin's ideas might not be common, but hey...it sometimes worked out the way he planned it.

NasiDe - April 4, 2012 03:03 AM (GMT)
Instinctively, the Primahblin reacted towards the bug being thrown at it. Flailing in an attempt to defend itself, it accidentally loosed its arrow on its only remaining team mate, leaving a puff of smoke where the dazed Demon had been. In spite of its wild attempts at defense, the Demon failed to protect itself and the Vengas landed square on its face.

The primate shrieked, waving its arms about as the bug bit the Primahblin just below its eye. The Demon's upper cheek began to swell just as it slapped the bug off its face. In a furious retaliation, the Demon dropped its bow and pulled out an arrow as it dived from the upper half of the room at Justin to attack him head on.

DornKoon - April 4, 2012 03:50 PM (GMT)
Justin had not been planning for his idea to work out so well, that seemed like a large flunk of luck on his part. The young hero had a feeling that he would have to deal with the last demon in order to break the hold over the bugs. He really did not like to harm them, this was their home and the demons was messing around inside of it.

The demon charged in towards him... getting closer and closer. Justin's reaction was to first drop the bow in such a way that it ended up hanging over his arm. His hand then moved to pull out the sword and when the enemy was close enough...he attacked with a vertical slash.

NasiDe - April 14, 2012 07:28 PM (GMT)
Justin's sword sliced upwards through the Demon and the Primahblin burst apart into a puff of smoke with a final shriek. From near the door, Zelda let out a small sigh of relief and gazed back towards Justin as the smoke faded away. Then she called out, "Justin, those bugs are still after you. Let's just leave them be and leave this room." She held a hand on the door as if she could actually touch it.

DornKoon - April 15, 2012 08:30 AM (GMT)
Justin did not really have a reason to kill the bugs, they where not his enemies in all this. The young hero quickly dashed over to the door, he opened it and left the room...making sure that the door was closed. Then he sighed deeply and looked around to examine the next chamber in the forest temple, to no surprise it seemed very familiar to the other room from earlier.

NasiDe - April 15, 2012 09:52 PM (GMT)
((Vengas are native to another realm.))

The room was long but wide enough that it certainly wasn't a hall. It had several purple clouds of smoke clinging to the walls, leaving behind a narrow path for Justin to follow that lead into a much smaller rectangular room. On the right side of the room, some of the smoke was being blown away; there was a small hole in the wall where the wind blew through the tree. When listened to carefully, it sounded like a song. Below the hole, there seemed to be a small inscription of three colors from left to right made from the juices of berries:

user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image

That next room had a locked door on its western wall, and there was a fenced off rectangular hole next to the northern wall that had a propeller hanging off the wall. On the right side of the hole there was a locked chest made of white and golden stone with a small inscription that plainly read,
"None but the hero in time of need may open this upon the fall of the virus. Bugs not native will destroy those that are."

DornKoon - April 16, 2012 06:59 AM (GMT)
Justin slowly stepped into the next chamber and his bright eyes scanned the walls, ceiling and structure in search for possible enemies. But as it happened that did not seem to be the case this time, no demons around...and he could not feel any scent of anything hostile.

The young hero walked over to the white and golden chest, he examined the words...and really did not understand what that was suppose to be mean. What was it with these old places and having text that made little to no sense at all?

"None but the hero in time of need may open this upon the fall of the virus. Bugs not native will destroy those that are? What virus...and is it talking about the bugs back there?"

When he was done with the chest he walked to the hole in the wall, he made a pause in order to listen to the music created from the wind though the hole. Impressive, but it did not say much. Justin's eyes moved to the three inscriptions below the hole...

"This really is a confusing place. That song sounds familiar, but I cannot recall I ever heard it in the past. I'm usually very good when it comes to remember music."

NasiDe - April 17, 2012 04:42 AM (GMT)
From inside the hole in the ground rose the strange scent of the unfamiliar bugs- the Vengas -once more and from it came the sound of a strange buzzing. Zelda floated in the chamber, drawn towards the sound of the buzzing. She floated near the edge of the hole and gazed down into it. A disgusted expression formed on her face, and she floated away from the hole.

At the bottom of the hole was what appeared to be a large hive and climbing all along the sides of the hole and the hive were the bugs. Quite suddenly, there was a slam behind them. Zelda turned, looking back. A stone slab rose from the ground, closing them into the room.

Gaining an uneasy feeling, Zelda moved away from the hole in the ground and settled near the hole in the wall where the wind blew.

DornKoon - April 18, 2012 06:56 AM (GMT)
Perfect...more bugs, he really did not need more of those little things right now. Justin did not even have to look down the hole to know they where there, but for the time being it looked like they where not going to trouble him. Then again that might change without warning.

"What should I do here? I have no clue....why do I have to be so stupid..."

He ran a hand though his hair and closed the eyes to gather the thoughts. Justin was never gifted with a powerful mind and when he tried to much his head tended to hurt, which is was starting to do right now. But of course he did his best not to show the pain in front of the princess.

"So...any idea what this room might be..."

Justin's voice died away when he felt something inside his pocket. The boy slowly reached into it and pulled out a simple wooden flute, it was not special or grand..just a hand made piece of instrument. Could he? It was worth a try...

"Maybe...."

The young hero walked over to the hole where the music came from, he listened to the sound and tried to remember them. Then he moved the flute to his lips and tried to mimic the same melody. It took him a few tries, but pretty soon he did get the tunes correctly.

NasiDe - April 18, 2012 12:45 PM (GMT)
Zelda went over to the chest with the inscribed words to try and figure out the answer to the riddle that it lay before them as Justin practiced on the Spirit Flute. Several moments after Justin's final attempt at the tune playing through the temple's wall, a white fairy popped out of the hole and flew up to Justin. "Hiya! Thanks for summoning me. I've been sleeping for years and years. As a reward for waking me, I'll lend you my power when you're in dire need.

"If you feel your life is in danger, play the version of the Song of Healing that you just played, and I will come heal you! Nifty, huh? Oh, and one more thing! The closer you are to the strong powers of the Spirits of Good, like these temples or the Spirit Paths, the more effective my healing will be." The fairy brushed up against Justin's cheek with a childish laugh before pausing.

The Spirit of Healing flew towards the pit in which the Vengas resided. "Oh, that doesn't look good at all... Those bugs aren't native to this area! If they aren't removed, they'll destroy the temple and the tree from within!" With that, she flew away and vanished somewhere into Justin's mantle.

Song of Healing (Physical)
-Justin has learned the Song of Healing (Physical)! He can now play it on the Spirit Flute to summon the Spirit of Healing to restore his health. She is more effective around areas aligned with the Spirits of Good and can be summoned only once every three in-character hours. Depending on how close she is to said location, it is possible that she could restore vast amounts of health to many people. However, if she is far away from those locations, the health she restores will be minimal.-

Nintendo Mastah - April 19, 2012 10:51 PM (GMT)
*Enter the druid*

In one of the rooms of the temple, the floor began to crumble, and a massive plant rose from the ground. Wrapped in the leaves of the plant was a large, Human man, the archdruid Ranek Wolfheart. He was still asleep in the eternal slumber his deity put him in when his services was not needed. Even though his body slept, his mind did not.

'Wake once more, my beloved champion', a female voice spoke in his head. 'It is time to protect, both the forest and the humans, for they need guidance and to find their way back to their roots'.

The archdruid's mind slowly became concious, but his body was still asleep. 'Once more I heed your call, great Earthmother, and I will carry out this duty in your name'.

'As always then. I have brought you to the forest temple, my champion, because your grandson is here with the one they call Zelda. I will lead them to you, and as soon as you have met up with them, you will guide them both in their task to save the land, but also to become more connected to the nature.'

The old druided listened, and if he could have nodded, he would have. 'As you wish, Earthmother, as you say, so shall it be'.

After their little conversation, Justin could feel (Zelda couldn't because she's a ghost, blehehe!) a breeze somehow blowing through the temple. The breeze was gentle, slow and drawn out, and sounded almost like a sigh. If listened to, the breeze would actually whisper. 'Justin...' with the voice leading further down the hall towards the room where the druid lie sleeping.

DornKoon - April 20, 2012 06:13 AM (GMT)
Nawww it was a fairy, it was really true what people said about them. Very cute! Justin watched the creature and listened to what she said, well this could prove to be very useful in more ways then just one.

"Yeah that is really nifty"

Justin slowly walked to look down into the hole in the ground, he listened to the sounds and took in the scent though his nose. He really could not smell anything evilish or demonic about the bugs, of course he had never seen them before. So clearly they did not belong in the forest.

"So I think we might want to do something about those bugs. But the question remains..."

His attention was forced away from the hole when he heard his own name in the wind. Now this was a little odd, why would someone say his name in a place like this? He looked to the princess, but she did not seem to have said his name. Besides the voice sounded like someone else, it sounded...familiar and yet he could not remember to have ever heard it before.

"I think I just heard someone say my name."

It took Justin a few moments before he could pin point the direction of the sound. It seemed to be coming from behind one of the doors. He walked towards it and tried to find a way to open it, but it was no use...because the door was sealed tightly. Perfect...more puzzles.

"So...two doors, a chest and a hole in the floor. This sure makes very little sense...or it might make sense. But I sure cannot find it..."

He began to walk around the room, trying to find some kind of clue what to do next.

NasiDe - April 21, 2012 05:25 AM (GMT)
Zelda gave Justin a concerned look when he said he heard someone, but was quickly distracted. Sense arrived and confirmed Justin's earlier theory. There was the sound of what sounded almost like hissing and scratching from the direction of the hole. Zelda floated near it, but very quickly backed up. "Ugh. Those bugs are crawling up it. Those creatures... I don't recognize them, but I have been to the forest many times before when I was younger," she said, confirming Justin's suspicions.

Just as she finished talking, ten Vengas climbed over the edge of the hole onto the ground. Two of the bugs crawled after Justin while the other eight crawled to the edges of the room where they held still. At first, they did not seem to be doing anything, but upon examination, they were actually tearing away at the wooden parts of the tree that entered into the room! They weren't eating the wood dust rather than collecting it into a pile as if for another purpose entirely.

Justin sighed, of course the bugs had to get into the room with him having no clue what the deal was with them to begin with. The hero watched as the bugs began to crawl out from the hole in the ground, he examined them....yepp it was the same bugs as before. He pulled out his sword and narrowed his eyes to take in what all the opponents was doing, he did not know what kind of bugs this was...but they clearly liked the wood of the forest temple very much.

"I remember a farmer once told me that some bugs collect wood in order to build their nests. Might be what those guys are trying to do..."

The young man quickly lashed out and attacked the two bugs with his sword, doing his best to not get to close to their fangs....or whatever it was called on a bug. After all, Justin did not know what kind of venom there where using.

The bugs were quickly slain, though their partners were not quick to take their place in chasing Justin. The two slain Vengas toppled onto their sides, ripped open. From the slashes in their body issued forth purple smoke that formed a patch of toxic air. It seemed to be the very same smoke that had been visible in the other rooms. Unlike most smoke, it did not dissipate. After several moments, three more Vengas left their piles and began to chase after Justin.

Justin quickly jumped backwards in order to avoid the patch of toxic air. Now that was interesting and annoying. Venomus gas was never a nice thing and he did not feel like breathing that anytime soon. But it did not seem to spread and stayed focus on the small area where the bug died.

The hero was ready for the others and he quickly began to fight them in turn as they appeared, but this time he was not going to just let them come. No he was going to attack back, but he did not take pleasure in doing this. Justin first attacked the three bugs that moved to attack him. He made sure to move away from the insect before it could release the patch of venomus gas, when the three was dead he moved over to attack the five remaining creatures.

Just to prove he had not been dreaming, the breeze came yet again, stronger this time, and now 'justiiiin' was clearly heard in the wind. Something was calling the young man, something or someone.

As the bugs were slain one by one, the venomous gases steadily filled the room until soon only one Vengas remained. Justin's swords pierced the small creature and it collapsed, releasing one final puff of toxic gas into the room's air supply.

In the middle of it all, though, there was a loud 'Click!' from the direction of the chest as the life in the last bug faded away.

Justin thought it was a little distracting that the voice continued to speak his name, harder to focus on a fight with a strange wind saying your own name like that. But even so the enemy bugs was soon dead and he moved away from the last patch of gas when it was released. The boy also heard the sound in the area of the chest, so it opened from him just killing the bugs? Who made these things anyway?

He made his way to the chest and jumped over a few patches of venomus gas on his way there. Present in front of the chest Justin reached out and opened it, hopefully there would be something useful inside...or well something that might be handy in some way.
