I'd like to start doing some serious programming. I've done some text based java games. A cricket simulator all fixed around random numbers. I thought it was alright. But I wanna start c++ etc. Did Delphi for a while but lost the plot. Would love it if someone could like make a flash or movie that will show you exercises and projects with the solution if you fail or can't crack it etc.

Thanks I did learn a tiny bit of pascal (don't remember what version) in high school, back in about '92 or something, so I was wondering, how different is c++ from pascal? and What's the learning curve like for c++?

After one month, I decided to reply you..
C++ is much different than (Object) Pascal, but that is relative, since you don't have to use all of features C/C++ gives you..
Also, if you're going to do games for windows which will use low-level API's such as DirectX, OpenGL, etc (not Windows GDI) you will have to learn them alongside C/C++.
Though, there's a simpler solution - using cross-platform game libraries such as Allegro and SDL.
