[Indecisive Monkey]

Lil looked down at the smiles, and took them from him slowly. A weird german goat boy had just given her flowers. She blinked, before lowering her nose, and taking in a deep breath of their scent.

"Thank you, Ezra." Liliane was still shocked by this. She wasn't generally a warm person, she liked arguing and speaking her mind. Therefore people didn't often give her flowers, she was lucky if people would even sell her flowers. So she felt a little pressed to do something in return for the guy. He was being sweet, in his own way.

"Do you like bread?" She asked in an awkward and confused voice, as she held out the bag. Usually she would only give away her fresh bread if the situation was in dire need of it, and only if Lisa was around to make more for her stat. But there she didn't seem to mind so much. And in such a strange world (not that it was strange looking, it was just strange how she got their) it wouldn't hurt to make friends with a few people.

His ears twiched for a moment, and he blinked dumbly at her, nodding, "Yes, but...if that is the only food you have, then I can't take it from you. I'd rather starve than have a girl starve just because I was to be selfish and take it all for myself..." He replied in a soft tone.

"I can take care of myself!" Lili snapped at him with narrowed eyes, her temper flaring. Immediatly she felt bad, and she looked down at her toes. Biting her lower lip she sighed, and looked back up at him.

"I'm sorry. How about we share?" Her face softened, and she ripped off a chunk of the bread and held it out towards him. Lil hoped that he wouldn't decline again, because she couldn't say whether she would be able to keep her temper.

It was hard to say why she had been angry. It wasn't that Ezra had said anything particularly offensive or insulting. Liliane just didn't like that fact that he was being so chivalrous. She had grown up taking care of herself, and in her own world no one had looked out for her. You've no reason to be upset. He was looking out for you. The stern voice of her mother scolded her in her head. It wasn't that her mother was there, it was just the personna in her mind that gave her such scoldings when necessary.

He blinked slowly at her, his gaze faltering, and he looked away. He had not meant to make her mad, he would have just rather of looked out for someone else other than himself. When he looked back to her, bread seemed to be shoved into his face, offering that she was sorry for her sudden outburst.

Smiling softly, he gently took it from her, and laughed nervously, "Sorry if I said something wrong... I did not mean to make you mad..."

Liliane sighed, and flopped back down on to the ground, and crossing her legs. She put her own bread in to her lap, as she contemplated her answer. She could tell him the truth, about why she believed she was angry, or she could make up a vicious lie about something in her past. In the end she chose the truth.

"It's not your fault. I was just being..stupid. In my world I've always looked after myself. I never even depended on close friends for help. And you're a stranger and I only just learned your name but you're already looking out for me. It was just - " She paused trying to find the right word, "Different." Lili finally finished.

"So is this your natural world? Do you happen to know why I'm here?" Liliane pulled her brown hair back from her face, and tied it in to a loose and messy bun while she spoke. Hopefully Ezra would be able to help her out, and to answer her questions. Lili felt awfully lost in the forest.

A White cat with black stripes meowed from a ledge above the girl in the skirt, her strange accent confusing it as it then lept down. As it lept down, wind blew against it and its shape changed into that of a silver haired boy with eyes as blue as the sky. "This world is mine." He said as he landed in front of the girl and Erza. He turned looking infront of the girl, his nose twitching slightly and he then leaned over her sniffing still. "You smell of...flowers..." He said casually yet obviously allured by his scent he seemed to be able to pick up. "You must come from a place that smells wonderful to carry that scent." He commented to her as he then stood back and looked at Erza for a sec then back to the girl. "Seeing as you know Erza, my name is Jing, Jing Hajimei, and your on the outskirts of Osaka of Japan." Jing introducing himself very casually, a slight country like accent could be heard now that he spoke more. "Who might you be?" He inquired of the girl in a friendly manner.

Surprised by the sudden appearance of another person, Liliane jumped slightly. People were popping up all over the place it seemed. For a moment she wished that she had been sneaky and popped up on someone first, but the thought vanished when the newcomer spoke. So the world was his. It was nice to know someone who could answer her questions. She nodded at his answer, while he continued to speak.

"Well, I'm Liliane Bonnevie. Lili." She looked down at her flowers, and pulled a petal off one, watching it shimmer in the light. She let it fall through her fingers as she thought. So she was in Japan. Osaka to be precise. Did that mean she was still on Earth, the same planet? Could she go back to France if she wanted too?

"If this is your world, do you mind me asking questions? For example, am I able to go back to France? Would it still be...my France? Oh, and why am I here?" Lili hoped that he wouldn't mind her questions. She was curious, and this Jing character seemed to have the answers she wanted.

He leaned in towards her again as his faced mocked thinking somewhat and then he smiled, as he got close the smell of fresh air and the feel of a slight breeze surrounded him. "France? Hmmm...I haven't heard anything about there, out here in the country area of Osaka we don't really get much news." He said to answer the first part of her questions. "Secondly..." he continued, "I have no clue why your here." he concluded scratchign the back of his head and chuckling softly. He leaned back as he turned to look at the goat boy then back to the young lady. "We should probably get you to the town, there you can at least find out what it is you need to know i suppose." He suggested to them as he turned and began to walk slowly back to the open field.

Lili nodded her head in understanding. Of course they wouldn't get much news out here. There wasn't a building that she could see, and being birthed by a fey mother had gived her fantastic eye sight. She stood, and brushed the dirt off of her skirt.

She had sort of expected Jing to wait for her and Ezra to stand and walk with him, but he had walked away almost immediatly. She held the bread and flowers in one hand and held out the other to Ezra.

"Shall we follow him to the town then?" She asked him, waving her hand in impatience as a sign to hurry up.

He blinked and nodded slowly, getting to his feet after taking her hand to pull himself up.

"Yeah, lets follow him. There really is no point in waiting out here and be attacked by something, right?" He asked, a small smile crossing his face.

Jing led them to a slippy country like town with few large buildings, which the only ones were pretty much the school and the library. Jing continued walking through the town at a standard pace for the other two to keep up. He stopped at the town square, turning back to the two. "This is the town square, from here you can find what your looking for I am sure." He said plainly and with his hands dug into his pockets he sniffed the air and smiled faintly as he then began to walk off, his nose still sniffing the air.

He found himself outside a small house by the edge of the town before it went to the beach. He had followed the scent of the ocean air to the house and peering inside it he saw it empty. He puzzled over it, he hadn't remembered a house there being empty. He shrugged and then headed back to the town, thinking to maybe offer it to the two people who had just appeared to stay in since they seemed to have no where to go.

Liliane walked with Ezra following Jing. It wasn't hard to follow him. He wasn't walking superbly fast. The green flip flops on her feet were starting to bother her though. She could feel the blisters forming in between her toes.

"Hold on..." She paused, and quickly kicked off her shoes. She held them in one hand and continued walking barefooted.

It wasn't long before they entered the town. Lili wasn't much impressed by it. The town she had moved too was considered small by France standards, and it seemed that not even a quarter of it would fit here. She still looked around as she walked though, curious as to what would help her answer her questions in this town.

"Thank you for your help..." She told Jing as he walked away, leaving them in the town square. Looking at the buildings closest to them, Lili tried to sort out her thoughts. She had no idea where to start. The library would be most useful, since it probably had the most information. But if there were someone in town who knew the answers to her questions they would be infinitely faster to work with.

"Where shall we start?" She asked, turning to Ezra.

"If there are any preists around here, they might have fortold this occurence before it happened," He paused. Wow, he suprised himself on that answer. Now he sounded like a german scientists, "Unless you have a better idea...then we can use yours first..."

He smiled queitly at her, "Besides, I might be wrong."

Lili frowned at him. "You really should feel better about yourself. What if you're right?" She shook her head at him in mock anger, before looking around the town square again.

"Do you happen to know where the church might be?" The library and the school were in the square but not the church. Either religion wasn't a big thing or they had maybe two churches, spread out...Liliane pondered the reasons why the church might not be within sight while she continued to look around in curiosity.

He leaned over them sitting on a light post that hung over them and whistled. He smiled as he swung down with cat like grace and he landed softly and quietly infront of them. "I found a small cottage towards the outskirts you two can stay at if you need a place to stay" he offered them. He turned then and smiled as he saw some kids and ran over to them and they all cheered ont he sight of him. He picke up a small girl and swung her around in his arm slightly before putting her back down. he smiled at her warmly, but behind the smile could be felt some sadness. He turned away waving goodbye to the kids as he rejoined the two new comers. "Anything else you need?" He asked them.
