The Godai {Elemental Roleplay}

The five elements are, in ascending order of power, 地 (chi) Earth, 水 (sui) Water, 火 (ka or hi) Fire, 風 (fuu) Wind, and 空 (kuu). This last is usually translated as "Void" when referring to the elements, but refers to Sky in most other contexts, and is therefore sometimes translated as Heaven. Sometimes a sixth element is added, [Shadow/Darkness] representing Consciousness.

Chi
Chi, meaning "Earth", represents the hard, solid objects of the world. The most basic example of Chi is in a stone. Stones are highly resistant to movement or change, as is anything heavily influenced by Chi. In people, the bones, muscles and tissues are represented by Chi. Emotionally, Chi is predominantly associated with stubbornness, stability, physicality, and gravity. In the mind, it is confidence; and emotionally it is a desire to have things remain as they are; a resistance to change. When under the influence of this chi mode or 'mood,' we are aware of our own physicality and sureness of action.

(Note: This is a separate concept from the energy-force, pronounced in Chinese as qi or ch'i and in Japanese as ki, and written alternatively as 気,氣, or 气.)


Sui
Sui, meaning "Water", represents the fluid, flowing, formless things in the world. Outside of the obvious example of rivers and the like, plants are also categorized under Sui, as they adapt to their environment, growing and changing according to the direction of the sun and the changing seasons. Blood and other bodily fluids are represented by Sui, as are mental or emotional tendencies towards adaptation and change. Sui can be associated with emotion, defensiveness, adaptability, flexibility, suppleness, and magnetism.


Ka
Ka or Hi, meaning "Fire", represents the energetic, forceful, moving things in the world. Animals, particularly predators, capable of movement and full of forceful energy, are primary examples of Ka objects. Bodily, Ka represents our metabolism and body heat, and in the mental and emotional realms, it represents drive and passion. Ka can be associated with motivation, desire, intention, and an outgoing spirit.


Fū
Fū, meaning "Wind", represents things that grow, expand, and enjoy freedom of movement. Aside from air, smoke, and the like, Fū can in some ways be best represented by the human mind. As we grow physically, we learn and expand mentally as well, in terms of our knowledge, our experiences, and our personalities. Fū represents breathing, and the internal processes associated with respiration. Mentally and emotionally, it represents an 'open-minded' attitude and carefree feeling. It can be associated with will, elusiveness, evasiveness, benevolence, compassion, wisdom, and electricity.


Kū
Kū, most often translated as "Void", but also meaning "Sky" or "Heaven", represents those things beyond our everyday experience, particularly those things composed of pure energy. Atoms, their component particles, and atomic forces fall under this category, as do people in a higher state of consciousness. Bodily, Kū represents spirit, thought, and creative energy. It represents our ability to think and to communicate, as well as our creativity. It can also be associated with power, creativity, spontaneity, inventiveness, nuclear reactions.

Kū is of particular importance as the highest of the elements. In martial arts, particularly in fictional tales where the fighting discipline is blended with magic or the occult, one often invokes the power of the Void to connect to the quintessential creative energy of the world. A warrior properly attuned to the Void can sense his surrounding and act without thinking, and without using his physical senses.

Plot:

Ripped from their home world [this is alot like Kingdom Hearts, don't blame me.] the 6 elementals [and non-elemetals soon to come] have to fight their way through this unknown demension, not knowing what to expect. Will they survive? Or will they be forever torn from their home worlds?

One moment, I was in the feilds, tending to my sisters garden, before darkness envoloped me. I felt as though I was ripped from my body. . .
I woke moments later to find myself in this strange world. . . unknown to me. . . a foresty area, not traveled by me before. . .

Where was I?

Looking about Ezra blinked his big brown eyes, taking in his surroundings. This world was not germany. . . there were no mountains. . . or none that he had seen yet. . .

Forest. . .

Great. . .

That meant wolves resided here. . .

The wind blew over the open fields in a gust as the long grass and wild flowers swayed. The sun was over head and the sky dotted by thin clouds leaving shadows in patches over the field. In the field sitting on a large rock that barely was visible through the long grass was a young man, a light blue and white scarf around his neck and shoulders and hair as silver as clouds with eyes the match the sky. His eyes were looking towards the horizen where mountains were present with snowcaps on them all. Another fresh gust of wind blew past him, his scarf whipping in the air and the young man let out a heavy sigh.

His eyes closed and remained so for a few moments before opening again and his gaze turned ot the sky. Watching the clouds his eyes seemed to focus and he then turned his head looking towards the horizen behind him which lay a forest of thick trees.

Getting to his feet, the young boy got to his feet, rubbing his forehead and closed his eyes. A butterfly found its way to him and landed on his nose. Opening his eyes, he blinked for a moment and then screeched, "ZOMGAR~!" He yelped, nearly falling backwards, making the butterfly begin to fly off. Staring at the insect for a moment, he coked his head to the side, and shrugged. . .

"Maybe I should take a look around and see if anyone else is here. . . I doubt it though. . ."

He walked slowly through the tall grass, as he reached the woods and passed by a tree he never came from behind it. A White cat with black stripes appeared ont he branch of the tree, walking down it and jumping to the branch of another tree interlocked with it. The cat continued to walk the branches deeper into the forest, slinking gracefully until it stopped looking down and noticing a male walking under it in strange clothing. It let out a confused meow over head of the boy.

Coming to a stop, he abruptly looked up and noticed the cat and cocked his head to the side. What was a cat doing here? "Hello there," He said to the cat, smiling, his goat-like ears twitching, and his tail wagging back and forth.

The cat crouched over the branch and then lunged down from it, as it neared the ground a burst of wind surrounded the feline and as the visible wind dispearsed a young silver haired boy kneeled in its place. The boy stood slowly and his eyes met the strangers. His presence seemed to brign in a fresh breeze whenever he moved as he stood upright looking up and down the man he had found, the scarf twitched as if caught in a breeze as he then took a step closer.

The 17 year old blinked quietly, and took a nervous gulp, staying where he was. Who was this guy. . . and why did he take on the form of a cat? That was odd to say the least.
