[Paper Dreams]

Akemi looked out the doorway at Ryuu, anf then to the clock. He was almost going to go on break soon. Looking over to where the coatrack was, it looked as though on of the older patrons had brought in an umbrella and left it there. That might help...maybe, he thought.

Walking from his station he walked to the coatrack and pulled the umbrella from within and took his coat and put it on. He kept a coat there at the restuarant just incase he weather got back.

Opening the door, he let out a cough in the direction of Ryuu, "Need an umbrella?"

At first when Ryuu heard the door opening, he thought it was just some people leaving the restruant. Although he then jumped a little in surprise when heard someone addressing to him, and then quickly looked over his shoulder to see one of the workers at the restruant, holding an umbrella with him as well.

He eyed the embrella for a while, and then calmly looked away with his eyes back on the view in front of him. "No thank you. I'll just wait here until it stops raining, I'm in no hurry."

"Oh, I see..." He said quietly, looking down at the ground, frowning. Looking up, he offered the umbrella again.


"I...I'm sure you have somethign that you have to do. Don't you have a family...o-or freinds that are worrying about you?"

Once again, he brought his eyes back upon the umbrella once more, and then tilted his head up a little to look up at the silver haired man. "No, none really." He spoke in a quiet voice, knowing that if he did return back to the apartment complex he lived in, there would be no one waiting for him.

He looked at the male for a moment, and soon let out a sigh, and shook his head. This boy sure was stubborn, and he could tell just by the way he declined his offer of apology for being so...well rude to him earlier, just by trying to give him an umbrella for the walk home. "Ah..." He replied after a moment of thought, "So you don't have any family, or freinds that would have any reason to worry themselve's about your well being? I'm sorry for bringing it up then."

"None at all. I just live by myself- that's that." Ryuu said quietly, not turning his head, not looking out of the corner of his eyes, not bothering to pay much attention to the older man next to him.

It wasn't as if he was to scared to speak about whether he had family, friends, or what not. It just wasn't exactly easy to just tell some guy that you actually didn't have memories of just a year ago.

"Are you on your break or something? I figured you'd be seating people down still."

"I'm on break. It's not very long. Only 15 minutes, and then I get to go back and stand behind the counter again. Not very fun, I must admit, but it pays well." Rant, rant, blah, blah. That seemed to be all he was good at. Never shutting up when he was supposed to.

He was such an ass.

Miya wondered through the open country side. She had just left the slums of her past and was starting over. She took in a deep breth and smiled. She grabbed her small bag and continued on.
As she neared what looked to be a city or town she grabbed her purse. She had little to spend but it would enough. She needed to get some form of food into herself before she passed-out. She continued forward into the city. She thought it looked like it may rain. She smile sarcasticly.
"Just my luck...."
She looked at the resturants she passed, all abit to pricey. She decided she would just sleep and try and earn some money the next day. She ran down an ally, to the very end, and sat against the wall. She closed her eyes and slowly drifted into a nitemarish slumb.

He looked out of the corner of his brown-colored eyes, mildly and very quietly, listened as the older one ranted on and on about his job.

Very slowly, his lips began to part little by little, as if trying to propose what words to say. "Humans, Angels, Spirits .. No creature alive seems content with what they have, isn't it?" His words came out in as slur, making it a little hard to understand.

"You have a point," He said after a moment, and set the umbrella up against the wall beside him, and placed his arms firmly behind his head, "We always want more. Say if you are a millionare, and you have everything you ever wanted, you always want more than that. You work hard to gain it, but you never get it, and eventually...you give up. An example: Love."

"That's-" Ryuu stopped. Then for some strange reason, a stinging pain erupted in his head. He didn't know why- but a loud, screech like sound could be heard from his human ears to the core of his mind.

A taunting giggle. "She never loved you, y'know."

He closed his eyes tightly, bringing a trembling hand up to his forehead. Almost acting as if he could stop the headache that way.

"Why else did she betray you and sacraficed your life like that?"

The pain was no more. Gone, as if it were never there. Ryuu slowly reopened his eyes, blinking a few times to erase the blurryness that clouded his eyes for a while. His lips were parted a bit, light pants going through. What.. was that suppose to mean..?

Miya awoke to the sound of people talking. She sighed and tried to stand-up. She was extremely stiff from sitting on the cold, hard ground. She slowly walked out of the ally. She dusted off her dress and started down the street. She sighed as she passed a few more resturants. She remembered she hadn't eaten. She sighed and leaned against a building for suport.
